ALEX’S POV
I am now in Liz’s office to report to her what happened at our meeting with SK Telecom yesterday.
“Great news Alex! It is really a good thing that Bryan is now the new CEO of SK Telecom!” Liz said.
I raised my brow. I don’t think I can accept what Liz had said. It seems like it is only because of Bryan that we able to closed the deal and not because of the brand and skills of R2 Corp.
“Excuse me sis, but even if Bryan is not the CEO of SK Telecom we can still close that deal.” I hissed.
She chuckled. “Ooops sis sorry I didn’t mean that way.”
I just rolled my eyes as an answer.
She then went to me try to console me. “Hey sis I’m sorry okay? I didn’t mean it that way.”
“If its not what you mean? What is it then?” I asked still pissed with her statement.
She gave a loud sighed. “I really didn’t mean that. Its just that it is more favorable on our part because we are close with him. But it doesn’t mean that we can’t really close the deal okay? I trust Sapphire and I trust you and your team. Stop being angry with me okay?”
I just rolled my eyes. “Whatever! Its almost time for lunch, let’s have lunch together?”
She wasn’t able to give me an answer. Is she already have someone to have lunch with? Is that a date?!
“Sorry sis but I need to decline you because I already have an appointment.” She said apologetically.
I raised my brow “Date?”
“N-no! Its not a date. I am just having a lunch meeting with Gian.” She explained while blushing.
I glared at her. “Gian? As in Gian Fabian?”
Liz smile and nodded.
My brow raised again. “Wait sis! Can you honestly tell me, is that guy Gian Fabian is courting you???”
She shook her head. “Of course not! He is just a friend.”
I frowned. “Friend? When did you guys became friends? I did know that!”
“Its not that long. We bump to each other many times and because of that, we came to know each other better. And I must say that he is a nice person.” She explained while smiling.
“Just friends? Are you sure? Is he really not courting you?!” I asked her again.
“Really Alex we are just friends. Also he knew that Bryan is my ex boyfriend.” She said.
“So what?”
She shrugged. “We can’t be together.”
I felt hurt by what she said. Maybe because deep down inside I am hoping for something.
“Are you sure?”
She looks frustrated from all my questions.
“Yes Alex 100% sure! Wait a minute why are you asking me that, don’t tell me you like him?” She said teasing me.
I rolled my eyes. “Of course not! That guys is a playboy! I will never like him. I am only asking you because I don’t want you to be hurt. That guys is a PLAYBOY!”
“I know that so you don’t need to worry about me okay?” She said assuring me.
I sighed. “Fine. I am just telling you that I don’t trust that guy. You need to really be careful.”
She just laughed at me. “Okay sis okay! Promise I won’t let myself to fall for him nor hurt by him.”
I can’t help myself to be worried about Liz because of her closeness with that guy. Of all the guys that can approach Liz why does it have to be that playboy?!
I suddenly remember what Bryan and talked about when we had our lunch yesterday.
I am getting more worried because of that.
Flashback
I have been noticing for a long time and even the employees that she often went out with Gian Fabian. I did some research about him. and I found out that he’s a known playboy. So since he and Bryan are friends I will ask him about his friend Gian.
Bryan invited me to have lunch with him after our meeting. We chose to have lunch in a Korean restaurant. We always used to eat here before.
“I really miss this!” and also him of course.
“I miss you too.” He said.
I wanted to smile but I need to control myself. I can’t tell him that I miss him too.
“What are you saying? I am referring to the food and not you!” I said instead.
He grinned. “Don’t try to deny it. I am the only person who always accompany you whenever you feel like eating Korean foods.”
I rolled her eyes. “Whatever grandpa. Anyway, you know what grandpa you look very different during our meeting.”
He raised his brow. “Is that a compliment?”
“Of course its a compliment! I actually can’t imagine you on how are you handling your business. Because I always feel like you always make fun of things. But during our meeting you look very professional and intimidating.” I explained.
I grinned. “So are you now falling for me?”
Oh my! I didn’t see that coming. I suddenly feel myself blushing. Oh no! This can’t be!
“W-what are you saying?!” I stuttered.
Oh no why did I stutter?!
He chuckled. “As I said don’t try to deny it. Don’t worry if ever you propose to me, I will say yes to you baby girl.”
Mu eyes widen then I gave him a soft punch. “You are so cocky! As if!”
“You always like to joke around. Anyway how is Gian?” I asked him.
He furrowed when I started to asked him about his friend.
“C-can you tell me more about your friend?” I stuttered again.
I am really getting nervous here. Not for me hut for Liz.
“Why?” He ask nervously.
Why is he getting nervous? Did he know something?
“Because I am interested with him.”
Yes I am really interested with him. I wanted to know what is his intention in getting close with Liz.
His eye widen. “I-interested?”
Wait why he suddenly turned pale?!
“Yes! I am interested with Gian so can you now tell me more about him?” I said getting pissed.
“What exactly do you want to know about him?” He asked coldly.
“I just did some research about him. And as per my research I found out that he’s a playboy. Is that true?” I asked him seriously.
Suddenly his face lit up. Which I find very weird. “Yes, he is a playboy. So if you like him, forget that you will only get hurt.”
“I will get hurt? Wait he never had a serious relationship?” I curiously asked.
“None.”
“As in?” I can’t believe that guy!
“Yes! You keep on asking me the same question baby girl. He is a PLAYBOY so don’t you go near that guy!” He hissed.
“If that is the case I will not allow him to go near Liz.”

I asked Liz earlier where they would have lunch with that playboy. So here I am now at the restaurant where they will meet. I can’t let that guy hurt my best friend.
