ALEX’S POV
Our product launch that was held last week was successful. That is why we are so busy in cascading all our plan to all our accounts. Next week the stocks for our new units of Sapphire will arrived.
So we need to gather all pre-order units and see if we have enough units that will come, and we can order for the next batch.
“Janet what’s the status of SK Telecom?” I asked her.
Janet looks a bit down. “Ma’am unfortunately Mr. Lee is still busy so he is not available for a meeting.”
“Really? Did you ask if he can give you even just 1 hour to meet? Even dinner time he is not available?” I ask her in a calm voice.
I knew that she is very disappointed of what’s happening. She’s been working hard for this account.
“Yes Ma’am I already tried that. But every time I call him he always ask me if you will be joining the meeting. When I told him that you are not available he will then said that he is also not available.” She murmured at the last sentence.
I massage my temple. “What about the other brands? Did you ask them if they were able to meet Mr. Lee?”
She nodded and look more disappointed. “Yes Ma’am. Almost all the brand had already met Mr. Lee last week.”
My eyes widen by her news. “WHAT??? And he can’t give us a time to meet?!”
This brute! I will really make him pay for doing this to us! He is doing it intentionally!
Janet cleared her throat. “Ma’am what if I will just bring Ma’am Liz in the meeting with Mr. Lee?”
“What?”
“Well Ma’am aside from being our CEO, she is also the ex girlfriend of Mr. Lee so I am sure that he can’t say no to our request.” She said a bit hopeful.
I sighed. “Let me ask her first.”
I pick up my phone to call Liz.
“Hello Liz.”
‘Yes sis do you need anything?’ She asked me.
“How is your schedule for this week?” I asked her,
‘Hmmm let me check first.’
“Okay”
‘My schedule is kind of full this week. Why?’
“Nothing. I just wan to ask you if you could talk to Bry and set a meeting with him, Janet will join you of course.” I told her.
‘Why me? Why not you join them in the meeting? You are the one who usually join in that kind of meeting. Especially if the account is for activation.’
I cleared my throat. “Yes sis but the thing is I am kind of busy this week. That is why I am asking for your help.”
‘Can’t Janet do that alone?’
“She can. But the thing is Bry always tell her that he’s not available. And I found out that most of the other brand already met him since last week!” I hissed.
‘Really? That’s surprising! Its look like we are losing are charm with Bryan?!’ She then chuckled.
“Maybe? That is why we thought of you. Maybe you can make him agree to make this meeting possible?”
‘Why me?’ She asked.
“Why not? Even if you guys already broke up still you are still okay. That’s why I am sure that he will agree once you ask him.” I said trying to convince her.
‘You could also do that. You guys are also close. I am sure that if you call him now, he will surely agree.’
I find it hard to answer her. How will I tell her that I am avoiding that brute for her?!
‘Hey what happen to you? Why can’t you answer me? Alex is you are still thinking about me, then forget it. I already moved on. See?! That’s already PAST TENSE so it only means that I am so done with him. You don’t need to that for me.’ She told me.
“Are you really sure? I will really make that brute pay!” I said still pissed with him.
She chuckled. ‘Fine you call and make sure to close the deal with them.’
“Copy Liz. Bye!”
Did she really moved on from that guy? Whatever Alex! You need to be professional. You can’t lose this account, they are the number 1 account here.
I went back to the meeting.
“Okay Janet I will just talk to Mr. Lee and ask him for an appointment. You can go now.” I just said.
“Noted Ma’am.” She said then she went out of my office.
After my talk with Liz I have decided to call that brute.
Just one ring and that brute already answered my call. He doesn’t looked excited?!
‘Hello baby girl! Why did you call me?’ He sounds so happy.
I rolled my eyes. “Baby girl your face! Why are you not accepting Janet’s meeting request while you are allowing to meet the other brands?!” I angrily told him.
I can’t help myself from getting angry with him. I feel like he is betraying me.
‘Easy baby girl.’ The he chuckled.
“Easy your face! You meet Janet this week!” I command him.
‘Why? Are you joining the meeting?’ He asked me.
“I am not available. I’m busy.” I told him.
‘Sorry baby girl but I’m also not available.’
“BRYAN JAMES LEE WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING NOW?!” I shouted at him.
He then laughed so loud. ‘I am not doing anything baby girl.’
“Bry why are you making this hard on me?” I asked him.
‘I am making things hard for you? That is the least thing I want to do with you baby girl.’ He said in a serious voice.
I then sighed. “Then why can’t you meet Janet?”
‘I can meet her as long as you will also join the meeting.’ He explained.
“I said I am not available.”
‘Then I am not also available.’
Patience Alex patience. Again I count myself from 1 to 10 to calm myself down.
‘Hello baby girl are you still there?’
“If I will join the meeting, will you be available now?” I said trying to control my patience.
He chuckled. ‘Oh yes baby girl! If you want I can cancel my meeting today for you!’
I close my fist. Alex Inhale exhale…
I then sighed. I gave up. “Okay Bryan let’s have a meeting tomorrow morning at your office.”
‘Sure its a date.’ He said in a teasing tone.
I chose to ignore his teasing.
“Okay. Bye.”
After our talked I sent a message to Janet informing her about our meeting tomorrow morning.

BRYAN’S POV
I can finally meet Alex tomorrow! I can’t wait to see her.
Well no matter what happen in their presentation I only have one answer and that is YES.
Because if we close that deal, I have an excuse to meet her anytime since I am now their client.

My auntie has been telling me about her plans to go back to Korea. Because our main branch or head office of SK Telecom is located in Seoul, my cousins were the one in charge in Korea when my aunt thought of opening a branch here in the Philippines because of some of their businesses were here.
It has been successful here in fact we are the number one cellphone dealer nationwide. That’s why all brands are talking and trying to win us.
But of course we have an image that we need to maintain, we are not like other cellphone dealers or store that looks so cluttered because they carry almost all cellphone brands.
We only chose 5 brands catering the Class A, B and mid C. And our store is very different from other stores, due to the space and designs. Plus we have commercial samples of all the latest and high end units of the brands that we are carrying.
I am so excited to meet Alex! Its almost a week since I seen her. I can just let the purchasing head to talk to them but of course I will not let that to happen.
I will personally handle this account because it will serves as an excuse to meet her.
It’s my first time to stay in the mirror this long and make an effort to look good. Because even if I don’t comb or fix my hair, the girls will still chase me.
I never did this kind of efforts to anyone even to the girls I courted before. Alex is the only one who made me do this much effort.
I honestly want to go to the office earlier but of course a VIP like me should have a late entrance to make it more dramatic. Our agreed time is 10am, it will only took me 15 minutes to arrived but I went out of my pad at exactly 10am.
As soon as I arrived at the office, my assistant Chad immediately went to me to inform me that Alex and her team is already waiting for me in the conference room.
“Tell them that to just meet me here in my office.” I told him in a formal business tone.
“Copy Sir.” Chad said and he immediately went to Alex.
