With the help of online influencers, the trending topics were filled with insults against The Hall Group. In less than half an hour, it affected the group’s stock market, causing losses of over a billion dollars.
Lydia must have been surrounded by the board of directors just now. If things weren’t resolved well, there was a high chance she would be ousted from the board of directors, or even from the company.
Evelyn put down her phone, and her eyes were a bit warm. Even though Lydia was in a precarious situation herself, she still thought to inform her.
After freshening up, Evelyn put on sunglasses and a mask before leaving home. She didn’t plan to stand idly by regarding The Hall family’s situation. She hurried to The Hall Group at the fastest speed.
On the way, she suddenly noticed a car following her. She signaled the driver to stop at a secluded alley.
Entering the alley, she quickly hid.
Soon after, faint footsteps approached her.
Evelyn picked up a wooden stick from the ground and, as the person approached, she swiftly reached out, pressing the stick against the person’s back neck.
“Following me for so long, aren’t you tired?”
The person angrily said, “You meticulously scheme against others, erasing years of their efforts, trampling on their dignity without feeling tired. What do I have to feel tired about?”
The woman’s voice left Evelyn stunned for a long time. The pace, intonation, and even the angry tone were all strikingly similar to hers.”
With a stern face, Evelyn turned the person around and realized it was Zella, the one who married Stephen for Quinn and suffered from domestic violence. She seemed to have found the source of the voice message Quinn used to slander her.
“Still working so hard for Quinn?” Evelyn mocked with a smile.
Zella’s deep-seated sense of inferiority was instantly triggered. She gritted her teeth, glaring fiercely at Evelyn, “Quinn is so good. Why do you have to humiliate her? Do you know how difficult her life has been? She’s the best person to me in this world.”
Evelyn shrugged, “If you’re referring to her excessive use of friends, then Quinn does face quite a dilemma. After all, normal people wouldn’t do so many crazy things, such as what she made you do…”
Zella’s heart skipped a beat, afraid to hear what Evelyn would say next. She looked at Evelyn and questioned, “Are you trying to smear Quinn again?”
“Whether it’s smearing or not, let’s finish watching this video first,” Evelyn replied, pulling out the video she accidentally captured last time.
In the footage, Quinn, after Zella had confided in her about the domestic violence, disdainfully wiped her hand that had just touched her back.
“Disgusting, filthy.”
Zella’s eyes widened, the two words like a sharp blade piercing into her.
“This is impossible. Quinn, how could she treat me like this?” Zella shook her head frantically.
“Believe it or not, it’s up to you,” Evelyn said indifferently.
She took Zella’s phone, sent some information to her, and then walked away.
This was the information she had Gavin find. She felt that she might need it someday, but she didn’t expect to use it so soon.

The Hall Group.
Lydia had been surrounded by a group of shareholders in her office for two hours, and her head was about to explode.
“Miss Hall, the group’s stock has dropped another three points. How do you explain this?”
“If it continues like this, the stock will directly hit the limit down. Who will be responsible for our losses?”
“I said it from the beginning; we shouldn’t have listened to the words of this inexperienced little girl. Now, the entire group is being thrown into chaos.”
Lydia had heard such comments countless times. However, since she was the cause of the problem, she patiently explained, “The public relations team of the group has already provided response measures. Everyone, please rest assured; I will take full responsibility.”
“Responsibility? What do you have to take responsibility with?” Someone challenged.
Lydia frowned, not yet sure how to respond. Suddenly, the office door slammed open with a bang.
Everyone turned in shock.
A woman in a black sportswear, stood at the door. Behind her, security guards tried to approach her.
“Who are you? Do you know this is The Hall Group’s conference room? If you dare to barge in, I can have you sent to the police station immediately,” Terrence, an elder of the company, roared.
Evelyn furrowed her brow and casually cleaned her ear. She cast a cold glance at Terrence.
Lydia, seeing the situation, quickly stepped forward. “She’s my friend, here to help with this matter.”
As Lydia spoke, she subtly signaled Evelyn.
Evelyn looked at her, before she could speak, someone shouted, “She’s Evelyn, I saw her at Mia’s banquet last time.”
