The first guy I made eye contact with looked a lot younger than the other one, his eyes a deep blue as they focused on me, his blond hair coming to the front to cover one eye. He’s dressed in a surgical blue garment, a white lab coat covering it as he sat on his char, a pen between his right fingers and his other fingers holding the leaf of a book opened on the table in front of him, as if he were on the process of opening the page before Helen interrupted.
The lady with black hair is standing next to him, bending towards him and looking into the book too. The third guy looks much older, seated at his own desk with a pad in his hand and a touch pen on the other. And now they both had their faces turned towards Helen and I.
“I’d like you all to meet Lexy, our newest intern!” Helen announced.
The lady with the black hair straightens up now to fold her arms across her chest as she watched me, the younger guy seated smiling at me. I had to force myself not to smile back.
“Yo, intern!” He called, standing up to walk out from his office space towards me. He stopped in front of me, his tall height towering over mine as he looked down at me. Pointing out his hand to me, he said “welcome to our specialist hospital, I’m doctor Craig”
I looked at his face, saw how a dimple appeared on his right cheek and smiled back, taking his hand “It’s nice meeting you, Craig”
“Hi,” the lady he was with before walks to us, her hand opened to me too “I’m Katherina”
I took her hand with a smile and replied “it’s nice to meet you” she had the darkest shades of black eyes I’ve ever seen, her lips forming the shape of a heart on her elfin face. She’s wearing a white turtle necked sweater with faded blue high waisted jeans, her white laboratory coat on top, giving her tall, slim figure a beautiful look.
“That’s Drako over there” Craig said, pointing to the other guy who waved at me. I nodded firmly.
“Okay, this would be your office from today,” Helen said, pointing to the empty office right next to Craig’s.
“Thank you” I replied cheerfully.
“If you need anything, don’t hesitate to tell me,” Helen added “I’ll let Craig show you around”
I nodded before watching her walk out. I turned back to see Katherina and Craig still watching me.
“So,” Katherina said, folding her arms across her chest “what’s your major here?”
“Cardiology”
“Ah,” she nodded “you’ll be with Craig then”. She turns around and walks back to Craig’s table, picked up the textbook they’d both been looking at and returned to her seat.
I looked back at Craig who was still smiling at me.
“Come on, I Know where to show you first” he said, starting towards the door. I followed him out
