“Ah, Liliana. Stop running!” Roxanne shouted, chasing after a little girl that scurried around the room like a mouse.
The child zig zagged, always managing to evade her mother’s grasp at the last second. This made the flustered Roxanne even more frantic.
“How is it that I’ve outrun cars and stuff, but still can’t handle a little girl like you.” She cried, feeling powerless before the might of the little girl.
“Mama iz tuu shloo! Hihihi!” The girl giggled, clearly enjoying herself and the expression her mother made.
Roxanne couldn’t exert herself too much, since her belly wasn’t exactly in a fit condition. Perhaps this was why she struggled with the two-year-old child that seemed to best her.
“Oh, the moment I catch you, young lady!” Roxanne tried threats, but both her and the girl knew they were empty.
As this continued for some time, with the young girl taking the lead, Roxanne gave up hope that she would ever win. However…
>SWOOOSH!!!<
A sudden gust of wind swept across the room and a pair of strong arms gripped the mischievous child. This caused the girl to squirm in vain, now feeling as powerless as her mother. The one who held her was a more tasking opponent, after all.
"Daddyyy, you're cheating. Not fair!!!" She said, trying to escape, all to no avail.
"Liliana, are you still making trouble for your mother?" The man's voice sounded for the first time since he entered the house.
Roxanne beamed the minute she heard Asher's voice, felt his presence, and saw that he had caught their troublesome child.
"Ah, your back, Asher. Thank goodness. This child won't give me a break." Roxanne said, smiling at her knight in shining armour.
Asher smiled. He stroked his cleanly cut beard with one hand, while holding his child with the second.
"I'm back, babe. You missed me that much, uh?"
Smiling at each other, they drew nearer and kissed. This action of love caused their two-year-old child to show signs of disgust.
"Eeewww! Mummy and Daddy are doing it again. Let me down!!!" She cried, struggling.
However, this only caused Roxanne and Asher to burst out in more laughter.
"Consider this your punishment for stressing your mummy. You know she's carrying your little brother." Asher said, shaking the struggling child in his arms.
"Well, I think that's enough torture for today." Roxanne smiled, carrying Liliana off Asher's arms.
"As long as our dear Liliana promises to be good."
Liliana eagerly nodded, not wanting any more of Asher's so called 'torture.'
"You spoil her too much. No wonder she gives you trouble." Asher sighed.
He tried showing displeasure, but he was actually happy about the whole thing. Liliana was placed on the ground, and as soon as her feet touched it, she raced away from her parents, energetically zooming off.
"This girl…" Roxanne sighed.
"Looks like our daughter inherited your energetic personality. I clearly remember how you tried running away from me when we first met." Asher grinned, drawing closer to Roxanne now that their child was not present to witness anything.
"Oh, please. Let's just pray this one won't take on any of your rough personality." Roxanne laughed.
Asher couldn't argue with that. It would be a disaster if their kid picked up girls the way Asher did in the past.
The couple walked to their room, leaving Liliana to play with the countless toys she had to keep her company in the living room. Roxanne and Asher had their own business to attend to in the bedroom. On their way there, the two passed the hallway where Roxanne's picture was framed. She was clearly depicted carrying the victory belt of an international wrestling contest.
No, there wasn't just one… a few pictures, showing different occasions, with Roxanne being the clear winner. The couple saw this and laughed, making Roxanne remember how she had rushed to meet Daniel at the airport before they missed their flight.
[Luna's wish] was indeed very useful. In the wrestling matches, she made sure to use her base skills and strength, coming out top as a result of honing her skills and constant practice.
A lot has happened since then.
"Ah, Rita said she's visiting next week." Asher said, suddenly remembering his sister.
"Oh, is she coming with Dax like last time?" Roxanne asked.
"Na. Dax is too busy to come to California right now. The last time he visited, we were closer to Oregon. His Alpha duties won't let him have such luxuries. Hehe, so glad I left that to him." Asher laughed.
Roxanne jabbed him, making him cease his amusement instantly.
"Heyy…" He weakly protested, stifling his chuckles.
"Well, let's not forget that your Wolf King Status was restored to you, so you still have obligations to Oregon Woods. The only reason you're not stuck there is because there's really nothing for you to do at the moment." Roxanne said.
"Exactly. Which is why I get to spend time travelling the world with my beautiful wife. Hehehe." Asher gave a naughty laugh as he and Roxanne entered the room.
Roxanne was strangely filled with nostalgia, remembering layers of memories. Her success in the wrestling industry, introducing Asher to Rei Daniel… she could still remember Daniel's flustered reaction. She remembered the adventures she had with the Werewolves and even beyond that.
Her mother, Melissa, was living with the Rockwood Pack with Damien, who had been promoted to Beta. Linda was also in the Pack, living a quiet life in a more comfortable cottage, surrounded by people, compared to her previous residence.
The other Packs had new Alpha's selected, while the old ones were banished. The same fate was given to all of Larry's followers, and a reform was held within the Rockwood Pack and the entire Werewolf community as a whole, to prevent another 'Larry' from being born.
Camilla was forgiven, given a second chance to pick herself up and start over. With Benson no longer in her life, and a welcome member of the Rockwood Pack, she found love and was actually pregnant with her first child.
Roxanne still didn't like her very much, but Rita hadn't given up hope that both Camilla and her best friend, Roxanne would become close one day.
It was strange how everything worked out perfectly. Just like how fate was a funny concept, Roxanne had managed to weave it to give her the perfect end she hoped for. She couldn't thank Lara and Kyron enough for all they had given her. The training, the time they spent together, the wisdom they shared… and the courage to move on in life, taking the bold step she needed to actualize her dreams.
And so, as Asher shut the door to their bedroom and locked it, Roxanne could feel her heartbeat as she undressed alongside her mate. Crazy things had happened, crazy things were happening, and crazy things would happen.
"I love you, Roxanne…" Asher whispered, crashing upon the bed with Roxanne.
As she felt his body on her and their skin merge, her lips moved, curled up in a smile and responded.
"I love you too, Asher… I love you."
And so as both of them became one Roxanne and Asher found themselves lost in pleasure. Moaning and throbbing, Roxanne had few fading thoughts before being further submerged into ecstasy.
She had wrestled longer than she could remember, with her purpose, her fate, love… with Asher. However, at this moment, everything was now clear to her. She had stopped fighting entirely.
There was only one life for her now… and Roxanne was living it to the fullest.
[THE END]
