Book:Christmas With the Wolves Published:2024-5-1

The Hunters were shocked by the sight before them. Linda was covered with golden energy, displaying her overwhelming radiance to the flustered men.
However, they could do nothing but watch in horror as the savage beast descended upon them.
“A-Aura?!” Melissa gawked in disbelief.
Katrina rushed at the men, instantly initiating the slaughter of Luther and the other Hunters.
The carnage did not last for even a second before it was over. Body parts along with blood flew in all directions, staining the snowy grounds and dried up barks around the area.
Katrina gave a deep sigh, letting out visible breath as she closed her eyes. All around her were the mangled bodies of the Hunters.
“Foolish ones…” She mumbled, partly talking to herself.
Melissa couldn’t believe her sight, seeing such a one-sided massacre happen right before her eyes. She had never seen anyone easily subjugate Hunters, except an Alpha.
“W-who are you…” She mumbled, still laying on her back as she stared hard at the mysterious woman.
Katrina merely smiled at the injured woman, appearing slightly sad by her condition.
“You should rest, Melissa. Your questions will be answered soon. After all…”
Before Katrina could complete her words, and while Melissa was still processing what she was hearing, a strong wing blew their way, drawing their attention eastward.
>WHOOOSHH< In a flash, Roxanne appeared before the two older women, donning her full wolf form. Her fur was brown, coated in a glistening layer of hair, and her size was akin to that of a mature female wolf. Her focused gaze, displaying purpose, tightened even more. "Looks like she's here, your daughter." Katrina gave a wry smile. Melissa was utterly confused. Multiple emotions swirled within her. Still feeling the pain of losing her mother, shocked by the appearance of Katrina and how she instantly killed the Hunters as well as her knowledge of Melissa's name. The most unnerving of all, however, was Roxanne's appearance. "R-Roxanne…?" Melissa mumbled in unbelief. The wolf nodded her head, slowly morphing into the shape of a man. The two women watched as Roxanne took on her human shape, appearing naked with her slender frame. "R-Roxanne!" Melissa yelled as tears welled up in her eyes. Her body ached as she struggled to rise and hug her daughter, but she was still too weak to do anything. "Don't push yourself, mom…" Roxanne said in a low tone. She began to move closer to the two women, her skin exposed to the cold. She didn't seem to mind at all, appearing unfazed by the extreme frost about the woods. "I… I was late, uh?" Roxanne muttered sadly, looking at Linda's dead body a few feet from her. Melissa's eyes clouded up even more a she felt the pain of her loss even more. Katrina appeared stoic, watching silently as Roxanne approached steadily. Her gaze was on the young lady, as though already knowing what she intended. "Don't cry, mom… It's going to be alright!" Upon hearing Roxanne's shaky voice, Melissa felt more pain within her. "H-how can I shamelessly cry like this in front of my daughter. I should be strong for her, yet… yet, I-" "Grandma will be fine!" Roxanne's bold voice shook Melissa. The confidence in her daughter's tone, as well as the strange air filling the area, made Melissa confused by what was going on "W-what are you-?!" Melissa groaned as she tried protest. "Patience, Melissa. You'll see…" Katrina cut her short, her eyes still fixated on the youthful girl who kept advancing. Melissa's eyes, for the first time since her daughter arrived, went to Roxanne's face and saw her expression. Tears streamed from Roxanne's eyes, flowing down her cheeks. But, her expression didn't display any form of sadness. She looked rigid, and her eyes were filled with conviction. Melissa kept quiet, just like Katrina, and watched the naked girl slowly move. Roxanne passed by the two women and approached Linda's freezing corpse. Upon reaching her grandmother's dead body, she fell to her knees and gazed intently at her grandmother. "Haaaa…" She breatehd heavily, closing her eyes. Instantly, the world froze. Once again, Roxanne was within the realm beyond the one everyone knew. Now, with only her in motion, she proceeded to touch the pale skin of her grandmother. "Wake up now, Linda… Please…" Roxanne muttered. The girl sobbed as she said this, and her tears dropped on Linda's body. >SHIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG< As soon as her tears touched her body, Linda began to glow. Slowly, the blood around her began to dry up and her face regained color. The snow regained it's white color and everything's seemed to be reversed in time. "Huuuu…" Roxanne exhaled and opened her eyes. The world returned to it's normal state, and to the shock of everyone… Linda's eyes slowly opened. "M-mum!!!" Melissa yelled in surprise, overjoyed by the impossible sight she experienced. Katrina smiled, having an excited, yet frightened look on her face. "She really… she did it. Amazing…" Linda spoke to herself. She had seen a future where Linda would be alive, and knew Roxanne would be involved. But to think she would cause her own Grandmother's resurrection. Despite how knowledgeable and we'll versed Katrina was in Ancient Werewolf Arts… She had never seen this kind before. Roxanne was truly different! "What a fortunate woman I am… to have my son be fated to such a mate" She said to herself. "Huff…Huff…" "Welcome back, Grandma…" Roxanne spoke tiredly, now struggling to croak out words. Linda gave a small smile as she looked at Roxanne gratefully. "Luna… thank you…" She responded. Upon hearing this, Roxanne finally gave in to the exhaustion that had been gnawing at her and slumped, falling on the snowy grounds with her naked body. "R-Roxanne!!!" Voices called out to her, but she couldn't respond.. It was a miracle she had lasted this long, but Roxanne had gone way beyond her limits. Without knowing when and where she would next wake, Roxanne finally succumbed to a deep sleep.
