Larry stood atop the dead body of his father, glaring at the discolored face it gave.
He dusted his hands, moving away from the corpse as he proceeded to the room to procure the perfect objects for setting up the scene how he desired.
>KNOCK< >KNOCK< >KNOCK<
Larry froze immediately he heard the sudden knocks on his door. His father's corpse still lay on the floor in the sitting room, making it a very complicated position he was in.
However, Larry was unfazed. He had come too far to lose. Besides, the goddess was on his side.
He gave a smile and walked to the door, realizing who the person was due to his sharp senses. Quickly tilting the knob, he was met with the inspirational smile of Perry, who was with a few other Omegas.
"I didn't know what would happen, so I brought them just in case." Perry said.
Larry's smile widened, moving aside to allow the group to enter the bus home.
"W-Whaoh… Is he really dead?" One of them gasped, looking at Lenard's dead body.
"Of course. He didn't understand no matter how i tried explaining it to him. Sigh, it's fine though. We just need to disguise his death as suicide" Larry groaned.
The other Omegas gulped, slightly nervous by Larry's cold-heartedness.
"You guys… You're not having any second thoughts, are you?" Larry asked with a suspicious glare.
"Eeek!" They squared, realizing that he must have heard their thoughts.
"N-No… W-Well…"
Realizing it was useless to keep anything from their leader, the Omegas decided to spit out their concerns.
"Isn't it too cruel? And you do not even seem to have any remorse!" One of them yelled, tears streaming from her eyes.
Larry gazed at her with a stoic look, keeping his emotions under control. This expression seemed to unhinge the Omega, as well as the others in the house, except a few.
"Peter, you have no idea how I feel currently. It's a shame this Art only works one way… If only you knew what was going on in my thoughts" Larry mumbled, starting calmly at Peter.
"B-But-" Peter tried protesting.
"Everything I do is for the good of the Pack, especially for us Omegas. That's all that matters. Even if this pain eats me up inside, I am not allowed to show any of this to you. There is only one goal… Complete change!" Larry cut in.
This statement moved the younger boy, causing his face to fall.
"I-I'm sorry for challenging you like that…," He mumbled in a genuine apology.
"Ah, it's fine. I understand perfectly, Peter. Literally" Larry smiled.
Even before the big man said anything, he knew what was in his mind.
"His loyalty is shaky, but it solidifies with time. While there are some of them who are hardcore loyal to me, some are unsure. However, one thing will always hold us together… Our desire to change this system" He grinned.
While there were five Omegas in the room currently, Larry knew his forces were more than this. And they were everywhere.
"I've nearly taken control of the Omegas."
All he had to do was hide his time, and everything would fall into place.
"What do we do about the body?"
"Isn't it obvious? Tinker with it… Until it becomes believable that this old man really died of suicide."
Nothing would be traced back to him.
"Now then, I wonder what Rita is up to… I can only guess" Larry grinned as he looked out the windows through the drapes.
Far beyond what he could see, was the Alpha's Peak, Larry's future residence, at least to him, and where Dax currently engaged in a conflicting talk with his wife.
"Rita, no!" Dax spoke in a stern tone.
"Just hear me out, please!" She protested.
"No means no! I already know where this is going. You can't leave the Pack to search for Roxanne." Dax said.
"But, she's our Luna. You know this as well. Why are you stopping me?" Rita asked.
"Because she abandoned the Pack, that's why!" Dax said with an upset tone.
He too had hoped Roxanne would choose them. He was very relieved when he found out that Asher and her we're getting along, and was very excited for them.
However, she left them all.
"She's gone, Rita. If she wants to return, she knows her way here" Dax said dejectedly.
Rita sighed. She knew it was a touchy subject for her husband, since Asher, her brother and his best friend, was badly affected by Roxanne's sudden action.
"I understand how you feel, Dax. But Asher is my brother too… One I haven't seen in nearly a week, since Roxanne left." Rita said calmly, moving closer to Asher.
His body stiffened, refusing to give in to her advances.
"It's pointless. I'm not permitting you to leave this place" Dax said tightly.
Rita ignored his words, shooting him a daring glance as she moved closer.
"Asher is missing, the Pack is confused, there's so many questions and so little answers. I can't have you added to the mix of my worries Rita." Dax continued to spill as his wife kept her face approaching him.
Before long, she was directly in front of him as she wrapped her arms around his body and hugged him softly.
"I understand, babe… I understand everything." Rita whispered.
"Then why… Why do you insist on doing this?" Dax asked, perplexed by her obsession with Roxanne's wellbeing.
"Because… Despite everything, Roxy is still my friend" She spoke slowly, yet confident in her words.
Dax stared at her longing eyes, he knew he couldn't resist for long.
Could he make such a decision? Could he really let go of Rita and become utterly alone in such a turbulent period.
Of course, Dax knew the answer to that.
"I'm just being selfish…" He said to himself.
"Fine. You can go. Perhaps you'll even run into Asher in your quest to reunite with your friend" Dax said, looking away from Rita's bright eyes.
"Really? Oh wow! Thanks so much, Dax. You're the best!" Rita beamed, tightening her arms around her lover.
Dax returned the favor as they shared a fleeting, passionate embrace.
"Be safe, Rita… And hurry back!" Dad whispered.
"I will, I promise… Anything else you want to say?" Rita smiled at Dax, gazing into his deep azure pupils.
"Yeah. Make sure to bring our Alpha and Luna back" Dax added with a smile.
"Aye aye" She grinned.
"And, when you return… I'll be sure to punish you for being such a naughty girl that you are… So prepare yourself" Dax grinned with an evil gleam in his eyes.
This made Rita laugh nervously. She knew he wasn't going around.
"I don't know whether to be happy or a little scared to hear that" She thought to herself.
After all, in bed…When Dax was serious, he was a true beast!
And the sadistic grin he had on at the moment made her doubt he was kidding around.
"Gulp"
