[Orion Woods, Rockwood Pack]
“We’re back, Lord Dax” Larry said tiredly as he approached the Beta of the Rockwood Pack.
The group of Omegas who had just arrived from their journey in the human settlement arrived, bringing with them the supplies they went to collect.
Dax stood on the hill, backing the group as he was lost in deep thought. He sighed as he turned to look at the exhausted party.
“Well done. Take the goods to the storehouse, you should know what to do from there.” He said calmly.
They nodded, understanding his words perfectly.
In no time at all, the Werewolves dispersed to fulfill their obligations. As Larry descended off the cliff, he sensed a familiar presence and smiled slightly to himself.
“Larry, a moment?” A sonorous voice called out for him.
He turned to see the woman and his eyes instantly met Rita’s clear amber eyes.
“O-Oh… Lady Rita… It’s a pleasure to see you” Larry said with a forced smile.
Rita’s face darkened a little upon seeing this expression of his.
“No need to play pretend, Larry. My husband is too preoccupied with more important matters, so he won’t overhear us.” Rita said.
“A-Ah, I see,” Larry muttered.
“Lets walk, we can talk as we go. You need to deliver those to the storehouse, right?” She added, pointing to the sac Larry held tightly.
Larry nodded, resuming his walk as she moved beside him, maintaining his pace.
“So, about the favor I asked from you… Did you carry it out?” Rita asked.
Larry looked to her side and nodded.
“And?” She further inquired.
“I found her… Roxanne…” Larry stated.
Immediately, Rita’s eyes widened and a look of relief permeated her face.
She had asked Larry to help search for Roxanne in the event that he made it to the human society. However, that was merely a desperate means she resorted to. Even though she most certainly wished for it, Rita never expected he would actually succeed in finding her friend.
“Really? Where? How? Tell me everything!” She said excitedly.
Larry laughed nervously as he began his tale of half-truths and deceit.
[Moments Later]
Larry was alone now, deep in his own thoughts as he smiled. He was pleased with the way everything had been moving all according to his expectations, even the conversation he just concluded with Rita.
She had asked him prior to him leaving the village with the other Omegas, giving him his ‘Secret Mission’ to achieve.
He knew she would pull off something like this, and anticipated the outcome.
“She’ll most likely leave to find Roxanne herself. Perfect, one less variable I need to worry about” He mumbled to himself.
Finding Roxanne wasn’t hard, since he knew all about her underground wrestling career. After his encounter with her Coach, also overhearing their conversation, he pinpointed the location of the Arena Roxanna fought in.
This was the location he sent Rita to.
“With Asher gone, Dax overwhelmed, Rita distracted… All that’s left now is Damien.” Larry thought.
And that wouldn’t be a problem. He would be tying up that loose end soon.
“Everything is looking good. In exactly 7 days… This entire Pack will crumble, and be reborn under my rule. Then those arrogant bastards who think nothing of the Omegas will realize it once one has become their new ruler.”
“They will all realize it! The superiority of our kind!” He grinned.
After some minutes, he reached his abode. His father was bound to be at home at this time, making him grit his teeth to endure the company of the old fool he called his father.
“I’m home, dad” He spoke tiredly as he entered his home.
Usually at this point, his father would come greet him with his usual tired smile.
He used to love it as a kid, but as he grew older, such an excessive display of paternal love disgusted him. His weak father was a sight for sore eyes, but he endured it nonetheless.
Because, despite everything… His grand conquest, and all his plans, began with his father.
“Larry, you’re back…” His father’s voice echoed in the room.
Larry’s expression changed in surprise.
“He’s different,” He thought to himself.
He moved further within the room and entered the parlor of their very small home. It was a two bedroom place, with tiny windows on a few areas. The house smelled musty, full of age and boredom. It sickened Larry. Still… He endured.
He saw his father sitting on one of the two large sofas in the parlor, with a dreary look in his eyes.
“What’s wrong? No cheerful greeting today?” Larry asked sarcastically.
His father knew, to an extent, how he hated the way Omegas were treated, including him. Of course, his more sinister urges were kept under wraps, but at least one of the saving graces of being with the old man was that he didn’t have to pretend much.
“Larry… Where have you been?” Lenard, his father, asked.
“What do you mean, where have I been? I went to the city to get supplies for the Pack and-” Larry sighed as he spoke.
“Is that really all?” Lenard’s voice cut him short.
His father’s voice shocked him, making him begin to raise his guard.
“I know about it all, Larry… What you’ve been up to, what your plan is…” Lenard mumbled as he turned his face to look at Larry.
Larry’s eyes widened in shock as he observed his father’s bloodshot eyes, reddened by several moments of tears. His father’s face no longer had any semblance of cheerfulness. Only sadness remained.
“W-What are you talking about?” Larry asked, flustered by his father’s revelation.
“I had my suspicions at first, but I didn’t realize it was to this scale. It took me a while to figure it out, how everything was unfolding, even up till the recent situation… Where you poisoned one of our own, I know Perry’s illness was as a result of your interference! You made sure he fell sick so you could take his place among the expedition team!” Lenard spoke, raising his voice as he stared at his son.
“I don’t understand… Do you have any proof? What are you even saying?” Larry asked.
“Don’t use that act with me! You can’t fool me with that false veil you put around yourself, Larry. I’m your father… I raised you all these years. You thought you could hide this from me?!”
“Father, I-”
“I also know that the Hunters attacking our Pack is your doing, most likely you’re involved with the disappearance of our Alpha. Larry, do you still intend on denying it? The wicked acts you’ve been doing ?” Lenard asked with a furrowed eyebrow.
“Y-You… You…” Larry’s voice shook as he uttered a response.
He couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“Hahahahahahahaha” Larry burst out in sick laughter, filling the room with noises of his amusement.
Lenard, who sadly looked at his son with disbelief, slowly widened his eyes in shock. As he watched in horror as his son’s face warped into an abominable grin, Lenard trembled.
“Ah, you’re such a fool, Lenard. Just how much do you know?” Larry muttered, looking at his father with a sadistic expression.
It had finally come to this.
