Chapter 57: Miss Zack

Book:Tell me you love me Published:2024-5-28

Lucas had been abroad for most of the month. However, there was a lot of work that needed him to settle in the company. Even Owen couldn’t tolerate it and he told him to go back first.
Olivia was still unwilling to meet with him.
This was something that made people feel very strange.
It was clear that she had hidden her plan of going back to China from everyone just to meet with Lucas to ask him if he loved her. But all of a sudden, she was unwilling to meet with Lucas, which everyone found strange.
Only Owen guessed something as he knew that his silly sister absolutely still loved Lucas, so she must not be able to forget him.
Then he pitied her more.
“Lucas has left.” He walked towards Olivia and said in a low voice.
Olivia turned her head to look at him, “Owen, do you also think I am wrong?”
Everyone disapproved of her doing this, even her daughter wanted her and Lucas to be together.
Owen leaned down and hugged her, “You’re not wrong.” Everyone could be wrong but you won’t.
“But you must think about it deeply. Maybe if you miss this chance, it is impossible for you and Lucas to get together again.”
“I…” Olivia remembered how determined was she when she returned to China.
She smiled helplessly, “I no longer have the courage.”
She didn’t care if she could live a good life… She just wanted Lucas to be happy.
And she no longer could make him happy. It was time for her to forget him and watch him be together with someone else. Then, he won’t be hurt by her anymore.
The second day after Lucas returned to China, a brightly dressed woman came over and stood in front of his desk.
The woman was Camille Zack and Lucas saw her at the banquet. He didn’t think about her that much at that time but now he started to wonder when did this woman start to approach him.
He closed the file in his hand and looked at her expressionlessly, “Miss Zack, is anything wrong?”
Camille was a beauty, and this was the first time she had seen a man who was so unfeigned towards her.
This made her feel even more interesting, “Mr. Foster, my father asked me to deliver an invitation card to you.”
She placed the red invitation card in her hand on the table. Her white nails were painted with bright nail polish and Lucas didn’t like it much.
He was wondering what kind of invitation card needed to be delivered by the daughter of the rich family. It was just another excuse for her to come and see him.
Lucas looked at her expressionlessly, “I’m afraid I’m not available lately. If Miss Zack has time, you can send this invitation card to my father.”
His words wiped the smile off her face.
She tried to hide her emotions and smiled helplessly again, “My father is going to celebrate his 60th birthday. I hope Mr. Cooper can do me the honor to accept my invitation. As for your father, I think it will be better if you can tell him this yourself.”
The expression on Lucas’s face did not look good. Camille looked at him calmly for a while. Then, she had no choice but to leave first.
But when she was leaving the company, she met someone who was coming to the office.
Isabella who was wearing a hat and large glasses that covered her entire face whispered to Camille, “Miss Zack, I heard that you want to marry Lucas. Is it true?”
Camille narrowed her eyes and sized the woman in front of her up with a wary expression, “Who are you?”
Many women in this city wanted to marry Lucas. Camille didn’t feel ashamed. She was just vigilant as she didn’t know who the woman in front of her was.
“It doesn’t matter who I am. What matters is that I have a way to make Lucas like you.”
Inside the empty car park, Camille felt like she was talking to the devil.
