Lance stood by the door on the second floor of the mansion. He put his finger on his lips and asked Olivia to keep quiet.
Olivia nodded. She stepped into the room carefully after Lance opened the door.
The room was dark, and it didn’t look like there was anyone here. Olivia frowned, then she heard the door shut behind her before she could react.
Olivia turned around. She could only hear her own breath in the dark room.
Everything made sense now.
Olivia rushed over and knocked on the door, “What are you doing, Lance? Open the door!”
“Lance!”
Lance laughed from the other side of the door, “You’re silly, Olivia.”
“Once I captured you, Lucas will have to listen to me and follow my order. Now, the Foster Group belongs to me!”
The Lord heard Lance prayers. He sent Olivia to Lance when Lance was about to leave.
As long as Lance had Olivia with him, Lucas would be cautious and wouldn’t send Lance away anymore. This time, Lance will make Lucas kneeled before him.
Lance looked malicious. He felt joyous when he thought about how obsequious would Lucas from now on.
Olivia kept knocking hard on the door. She felt difficulty in breathing after a while, so she tried to calm herself down and looked for the switch.
The light turned on, and Olivia saw everything in the door.
Lucas was never in the room. It was just an empty room.
Olivia leaned by the wall. There wasn’t any movement from the other side of the door. Olivia knew Lance had left. She smiled bitterly and accepted the fact that she was tricked by Lance.
What should I do?
Olivia never told anyone, even Janet, about her return.
Nobody would come to rescue her.
Olivia leaned by the wall and looked panic. At the same time, Lucas felt like his heart skipped a beat.
Lucas walked out of the Fosters’ Mansion. He got a call from Lance before he arrived at the office.
“Lucas, do you know who I met at the airport today?”
Lucas was sitting in the emotionlessly. He asked, “Who?”
“Olivia.”
Lucas clearly felt his heart skipped a beat.
“Wh…What?”
Lucas gritted his teeth and asked.
Lance laughed contentedly, “Didn’t you want me to leave, Lucas? The Lord was standing by my side! Olivia returned, and I met her. Now, I have her in my hand.”
Lucas was hands were shaking.
Lance had the woman Lucas loved deeply as a hostage.
Lucas took a deep breath and calmed himself down. However, he was still frowning, “What do you want?”
Lance sneered, “Prepare an Equity Transfer Agreement. I want the Foster Group!”
Lucas didn’t turn Lance down. There wasn’t anything more important than Olivia, “I want to see Olivia.”
“Prepare what I want, and I will return her to you after we signed the agreement.”
“Prove to me that she’s with you.”
Lance snorted in disgust, “Let’s hear her voice.”
“Let me out, Lance!”
It was Olivia’s voice. Lucas gritted his teeth and he panicked. He treasured Olivia so much that he didn’t even dare to speak aloud to her or made her unhappy. How dare Lance locked Olivia up now?
Lucas wanted to kill Lance so much, but Lance had already ended the call.
Lucas stared at the phone and looked worried.
The most important thing was to rescue Olivia, no matter what cost it took.
However, Lucas was confident that he could do it alone. Lucas never believed a single thing in Lance’s promise to let Olivia go.
Lucas won’t give Lance such a chance if it was him.
Now he had to find out where Lance kept Olivia.
Lucas struggled as he stared at the phone. Then, he made up his mind and called Owen up.
What was the use of him staying alive if he couldn’t find Olivia when both of Foster family and the Cooper family joined forces?
