Lance looked unhappy. How was it possible that he married such bitch? He asked her back to the company and arranged for her to work with him as she still knew Lucas well. He also knew that Lucas still cared about her.
He had no intention of marrying her!
He looked awkward and changed the subject of the conversation, “Lucas, you must attend the family banquet tonight!”
Lucas nodded coldly as he knew that the so-called family banquet was just a banquet set up like a trap.
Looking at Lance who had not yet left, his frown deepened, “What else do you want from me?”
Lance coughed dryly and said, “Lucas, you’ve wasted enough time on Ms. Cooper. The elders at home are very unhappy.” He reminded Lucas kindly as the things had already been finalized.
Lucas was not willing to accept his kindness. He frowned and sneered, “Are they unhappy because of me wasting too much time? I thought they are unhappy because I didn’t give them enough money for them to spend.”
“Lance, get out now while I still have some patience. Otherwise, don’t blame me for making you ashamed.”
He looked at Lance fiercely until Lance felt a chill run down his spine. Lance even felt a bit creepy.
He hesitated whether he should continue to make Lucas angry or just go back to wait for him. He thought that Lucas would still be on his knees begging him anyway at night. He thought that he could let him be arrogant for a while longer.
Lance revealed his true colors and he displayed a gloomy look when he glanced at Lucas. He turned around and left.
Isabella quietly looked at Lucas as if she wanted to say something else, but Lucas did not look at her.
She bit her lip and stomped her foot. She could only follow Lance to leave the office.
Keith hurriedly closed the door.
“See, your cousin is thinking that you are definitely hopeless this time. He even revealed his true colors!”
“He is such an evil man. I used to think that this guy was nice, but I never expected he was hiding his true colors!”
Keith gritted his teeth in anger. He thought that Foster Group would not be developed so well without Lucas.
It was ridiculous that both Lyndon and Manfred didn’t care about things in the company. They either enjoyed spending time with women or gambling. The only heirs of the Foster family were Lucas and Lance then. Lance looked smart but he didn’t do anything to develop the company. He never used his power to develop the company. On the other hand, Lucas was the one who strived to develop the company.
Lucas did not care too much about it. After he finished reading the contract in his hand, he said, “Since I’m back, I will not let them have a second chance to live a good life.”
Keith smiled while clapping, “I can witness a drama tonight.”
Lucas smiled faintly and suddenly thought of the time when he and Olivia went back to the old mansion to attend Lyndon’s birthday party many years ago.
How good would it be if they could start all over again?
However, he still felt satisfied with his current life.
…
At night, Lucas drove his black Ferrari and arrived at Fosters’ Mansion.
When Manfred saw his son get out of the car, he went up to him and shouted in a low voice, “You still know you should come back here. Do you want to give up everything just for a woman?”
Lucas pressed his forehead, “She’s your daughter-in-law.”
“You’re already divorced!” Manfred gritted his teeth, “Lucas, there are many elders here today. Don’t be stubborn. Be polite to them and the matter will be over.”
Lucas strode into the mansion, “This matter is not over.”
“You…”
Manfred was no more there. Kinsley Foster, Lucas second uncle, and Hailey Foster, Lucas’ little aunt, were having an intimate conversation with Lance. When they saw Lucas, they displayed a cold look.
“Hey, who’s this? You still know you should come back here!” Hailey initially didn’t care too much about who should be the boss of the Foster family, but she had a closer relationship with Lance. She thought that her son might need help from the Foster family one day, so she should have a good relationship with Lance first.
Lucas greeted her and found a place to sit. Hailey and Kinsley looked at each other and sneered, “Lucas, since you’re back, let’s talk about it openly. If you don’t want to manage the company, then let Lance do it. Then, you can go all over the world to find that woman!”
Manfred shouted angrily, “What are you talking about! Lucas inherited the company from Old Master Foster! Do you guys want to disobey his words?”
When Hailey and Kingsley were about to say something, Lucas simply let them see the documents he had prepared a long time ago, “Lance intends to acquire my shares of the company without me knowing it, but the funds he was using were dirty money.”
He looked at Lance’s pale face and smiled, “I give you all two choices. Either we meet at the police station or you all get out of the Foster family!”
