Nate sits in front of Eille, who’s smiling at him widely. A cold aura was just what Nate was giving her. He couldn’t forgive her for what she did to Beatrice. The life of the woman she loves the most has been in the middle of a life-and-death situation earlier.
“Are you coming here to see me?” Eille asked with her flirty voice. Agiggles came from her, but Nate just looked at her like she was a psycho woman.
“Did you miss me? Are you going to ask me to be with you forever?” Eille asked. Nate leans to his seat and crosses his arms.
“Ugh, you’re turning me on for your presence Nate.” Eille tease.
“Are you really that crazy to do things like this?” Nate asked, so Eille smiled at him sweetly. This could be his last conversation with her as Amadeo confirms to him earlier that they will execute Eille after 5 hours.
“You’re driving me crazy, Nate,” Eille said, so Nate took a deep breath to keep his cool for Eille.
“A person like you doesn’t deserve to live here. Imagine you just let your clan die because of your actions?” Nate asked as he learned about what happened to her clan. Amadeo killed everyone from Eille’s tribe; they left no one, even a child.
It is written in the law under their organization that if someone doesn’t follow the organization’s rules Or even betrays one member of the organization. The tribe and the Alpha of the clan will execute and leave no one.
“I didn’t kill my clan. Amadeo killed them,” Eille said.
“They killed them because you betrayed your organization,” Nate said, so Eille smiled bitterly.
“Betraying them took me to be with you even in the shortest period of my life, Nate,” Eille said, so Nate looked into her eyes. From there, he saw sadness hiding behind her psychotic actions, and he knew that he was the reason why she became like that.
“I’m ready to betray my tribe or even my organization just for you, Nate,” Eille said, but Nate took a deep breath.
“Why are you always doing this? Can’t you even think that there is someone or some guy you will meet in the future, and maybe that guy will be the love of your life?” Nate asked. Eille just laughed at him for saying that.
“I’ve already met the guy who I will love the most. And that is you, Nate.” Eille said. Nate just shook his head in disappointment. He couldn’t do anything to make her change her mind.
“I already told you that I am no longer in love with you,” Nate said, so Eille smiled bitterly.
“I know, but I don’t accept it,” Eille said, so Nate looked her in the eyes. It’s clear to him that she’s sad because of what happened to her, yet her actions still remain the same, as she doesn’t want to see Nate feel that she’s sorry. Before they caught Eille, Eille promised not to cry in front of anyone. She already accepted her faith and her end game. She admitted that Beatrice defeated her and even accepted that Nate couldn’t love her back.
“It’s been decades since you promised me, Nate, that you would make me your Luna,” Eille said as she remembered how Nate told her those promises.
“You even told me that in the next 10 years, we will build a family together and be with each other until our last breath,” Eille added and smiled bitterly. Those are the words and promises she’s still holding and can’t get enough of as she’s waiting for him to make those promises into reality.
“Yes, I do betray you, but why can’t you understand my point of doing that?” Eille asked. “I’ve only done that because I wanted to be free with Darwin’s hands. I’ve betrayed you in exchange for my freedom for me to be with you with no one else controlling me, Nate.” Eille said and looked down as she kept her calm.
“I came back for you. I came back to be with you and to continue our relationship. But what just happened now, Nate? I’ve learned that you are already married to someone else, and worst is you marry my friend, Beatrice.” Eille said and looked into Nate’s eyes.
Nate could see the pain by looking back to her eyes.
“I tried to get you and explain what I’ve done for us, but did you listen to me, Nate?” Eille asked and shook her head. “No, because you’ve already closed your ears to my explanations and words,” Eille added, looking in the other direction.
“Then, you’re supposed to move on,” Nate said, so Eille turned to look at him again and laughed unbelievably.
“Move on? How?” Eille asked and shook her head. “You don’t even give me a proper word to move on, Nate. You always choose to hurt me by your words than to give me a word of apologies.” Eille said, and this time, her voice was full of anger.
“So, how could I move on, Nate?” Eille asked. Nate took a deep breath as he knew what she was pointing.
“Sorry,” Nate said, so Eille suddenly stopped and looked into Nate’s eyes. It was all sincere, and she couldn’t feel any force that he only spoke to make her stop.
‘Sorry for hurting you and making you do things like this.” Nate added that Eille’s heart slowly softened, and her mind lightened as she heard his words.
“I know we made promises to each other, and I didn’t let that happen, as faith and destiny had a plan for me. Sorry for breaking the promises I made.” Nate said. Eille holds her tears.
“Sorry for making you a villain. I know you just wanted to be loved, but I am not the right person to give you that.” Nate said. Eille looks down and smiles bitterly.
“After a year of wanting to hear this from you, finally, you let me hear it before I leave,” Eille said and turned to look at him, and this time, her tears fell from her eyes.
“I’m happy now as I already heard what I wanted from you, Nate,” Eille added, smiling at him. A genuine smile from a good Eille.
“Sorry for causing you trouble and ruining your relationship with Beatrice,” Eille said, looking down again.
“At least I will leave this place happily as I already hear what I wanted… Thank you, Nate.”
