“Lord Travis died in your twin’s hand. I’ve seen with my all eyes how he beheaded Lord Travis and how he trampled the torso of Lord Travis.” Atom said and looked to Rayver, whose aura was unreadable. Rayver couldn’t believe what his twin did to Travis. Atom told Rayver that Travis knew during that time that what he was facing was not him but his twin, Danver. As for Atom’s statement, Travis handed him something before he died in Danver’s hands, which Atom still keeping now. He is waiting to see Rayver; Atom is waiting for this time.
“You told us earlier that Travis handed you something before he started to fight with Denver; what is that?” Axel asked. Atom looked at Rayver and smiled bitterly, then stood from his seat and strolled until he got something from his cabinet.
Rayver watched Atom walk back to his seat until it handed him an envelope, so he looked at Atom’s face and back to the envelope in front of him.
“What is this?” Rayver asked as he accepted the envelope that Atom was giving to him.
“That’s what Lord Travis gave to me. He told me to give it to you.” Atom answered and gave a signal to Rayver. “Open it so you may know what’s inside.” He added. Rayver slowly opened the envelope and saw the white paper from inside.
He took it and saw what was written on the paper. He had goosebumps after reading what was inside the paper.
“Take back the thrown to him.” That’s what was written in the paper. Rayver looked at Atom and saw the eyes watching and waiting for him.
“What’s written on the paper?” Axel asked. Rayver looked at him and handed him the paper. Axle, get it, and read what’s written there.
“Travis knew that Denver would come to kill him that time?” Axel asked and looked to Atom, who was watching them.
“Yeah, All those times that he’s been with Danver, he knew that he’s not the real Rayver as Lord Travis already met Rayver when you were still young.” Atom said to Rayver, so Rayver looked down and couldn’t feel anything but anger toward his twin.
“Still, Lord Travis, treat him like a brother, and I know during the day that your brother came to kill him, Lord Travis was hurt as he was betrayed by the person he’s treating like a brother.” Atom said.
“In this case, Maybe Danver is related to what is happening to their organization. Maybe he’s the mastermind behind the important person in their organization gone.” Axel said, so Rayver turned to look at him and took a deep breath.
“We never knew, but I hope Danver is not the one who did that, as I will be forced to fight him,” Rayver said. Atom took a deep breath and smiled bitterly.
“Are you here to gather information about the organization where your brother is a member?” Atom asked, so the two looked at him.
“Yeah, to be honest, I wanted to see Danver ask him personally, yet hearing what happened in the past makes me think twice,” Rayver said, so Atom laughed a little and leaned to his seat.
“I recommend you to see him personally and talk to him, as I know where he is now.” Atom said, so Rayver and Axle looked at each other before they looked at Atom.
“Rayver, your twin has already changed. Yes, he did bad things in the past, yet he’s changed now, and I know he realizes something from what he did in the past.” Atom added, so Rayver fell quiet.
“Your father told me how Danver fools them. After working with Danver for three decades, he confirmed it to me. Yet he said one thing to me before I left him and resigned.” Atom said and looked thoughtfully at Rayver.
“What is that?” Rayver asked.
“He wanted to see you and talk to you before he dies,” Atom answered, which caused Rayver to stop. Meanwhile, Nate and Beatrice return to her mansion together. Nate decides to stay with her and will leave her when Axel returns with Rayver.
“Are you sure you’re free? Nate, you can leave me alone here if you’re busy.” Beatrice said, so Nate turned to look at her and smiled.
“I told you I am not busy. I’m on leave, and mom will handle anything while I’m away.” Nate said, so Beatrice sighed and nodded at him.
“Then, change your clothes. I will cook our dinner.” Beatrice said and walked to her kitchen. Nate follows her, so Beatrice turns to look at him and frowns.
“Why? I told you to change your clothes.” Beatrice said.
“I will. I just wanted to check the house first to see if someone secretly entered the house.” Nate said as he started to check the house. Beatrice laughs a little and continues what she’s doing.
After a few minutes of checking, Nate follows what Beatrice tells him; he changes his clothes and walks downstairs to join Beatrice in her kitchen.
“Do you need help or something?” Nate asked her. Beatrice didn’t look at him as she focused on cooking for their dinner.
“No, I can handle everything here. Just take a rest.” Beatrice said without looking at him. Nate watched her and secretly smiled while looking at her.
This thing has already happened to them in the past, where Beatrice always cooks for him, and he always tastes what she cooks.
“Can you taste this?” Beatrice said, got a little soup in the spoon, blew it, and then gave it to Nate.
“It’s good,” Nate commented, so Beatrice’s brows narrowed while looking at him.
“Don’t tease me here,” Beatrice said, looking back at what she was cooking.
“I’m not teasing you. I’m just telling the truth.’ Nate said and smiled. “You always cook good. It always tastes delicious.” Nate added, so Beatrice rolled her eyes.
“Okay, Mr. Vowell, please prepare the table. We’re gonna eat now,” Beatrice said, turning off the stove.
“Okay, Mrs. Vowell,” Nate said, which caused Beatrice to stop and look at him. Nate suddenly realizes what he said, clears his throat, and smiles awkwardly.
“Sorry,” Nate said and started to follow what Beatrice said.
