Even Lucas himself also did not know what was he going to do.
The reason he rushed to the Cooper family like a madman was just to find out the identity of this girl? What could be done after he found out? If she was really Owen’s child, what could he do?
Lucas searched his heart and felt that his behaviours were really not sensible. But, the little covert expectation at the bottom of his heart made him unable to ignore this.
What if, with 0. 0001 probability, this child was Olivia’s?
If this was her child, what should he do?
He certainly could not tolerate his and Olivia’s child to be not in the right place. She should enjoy the best things in this world and more importantly, perhaps, this child knew something about Olivia.
Lucas desperately wanted to know that in the last period of Olivia’s life, did she live in agony and did she ever miss him.
Like how he missed her now.
He stared at Janet oppressively. Being stared like this, the little girl did not dare to look up. Owen, who was ignored, gritted his teeth and glared at him angrily, “Lucas, I don’t care what you want to do but this is in the Cooper family, not the Foster family. You better get farther away from me, otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude!”
Lucas’s face also became cold, “I just want to say a few words to this child!”
“She is my daughter. Don’t ever think to harm her!” Owen wrapped his arm around Janet and let out an angry roar.
Janet, however, secretly raised her eyes to look at Lucas.
Although her uncle did not admit that this person was her father, his attitude had revealed everything. Adults always thought that children did not understand anything. But in fact, she had long understood that she was different from others.
Her mother and father did not live together. Her mother’s health was not good. Her uncle always hated a man but her mother always defended that man. Janet subconsciously felt that that man was her father.
She had once heard them mention this name, Lucas Foster.
And now, the man in front of her was Lucas Foster.
She cautiously raised her eyes to look over. She was unaware that her eyes were full of love that one had for one’s parents as she looked at him.
It was just nice that Lucas also noticed her eyes. It was not considered just nice since he had always been looking at her.
His heart throbbed violently. An indefinable feeling filled every corner of his heart.
His throat slightly moved and then he stretched out his arms to her, “Can I talk to you? Just a few words?”
Owen hugged Janet tightly. Then, he lifted his legs, wanting to leave. He really did not want to entangle with this person again…But then, Janet pulled his sleeve, “I want to talk to him.”
She looked at him pleadingly.
Owen stopped his pace. His sanity told him that he should refuse but the person in front of him was Janet. He failed to say no.
Janet had been very obedient and she rarely asked for anything and seldom cried either. Compared to the other children of her age, she was simply a little angel that could make one feel sorry for her!
But now, her big sparkling eyes were staring at him. Owen remembered her question in the car just now, was the person…her father?
Did she…know already?
That was why she wanted to talk to Lucas?
Janet pulled his sleeve again and said very softly, “Please…Dad.”
She called him Dad.
Owen turned his head woefully, not letting her see his reddened eyes.
“Okay, but only for a while. I’ll be on the side. If something happens, call me,” he put Janet down and instructed in a low voice.
This child was so understanding that she made others feel sympathetic for her. Owen felt that he was unable to refuse her request. She would leave this country latest by tomorrow. Perhaps, this was the last time she would talk to her biological father, which was also the only time.
