Beatrice woke up with strange feelings, and her eyes started to scan the place where she was until she slowly sat and remembered that she lost consciousness.
“Beatrice.” Nate greeted her immediately and hugged her tightly.
“Where am I?” Beatrice asked, but Nate didn’t answer her, and she felt that he started crying, so her forehead frowned at Nate’s actions.
“Where am I, Nate?” Beatrice asked, so Nate looked at her face, crying, and couldn’t speak.
“Why are you crying, Nate?” Beatrice asked. Nate didn’t answer her, so she felt something wrong again until her eyes captured her belly.
“Why does… why does my belly become small?” Beatrice asked, and her heart started to rise, she looked at Nate, who was crying, so tears began to form in her eyes while looking at her tiny belly.
“What happened to my son Nate?” Beatrice asked, and her tears dropped to her eyes. Nate hugged her, and she started crying because of the idea that her baby was dead.
“What happened to my son?” Beatrice asked, crying and heartbroken.
“The doctor said that the baby didn’t make it,” Nate said, hurting to it’s own words. Beatrice became aggressive because of what she heard.
“No, You’re telling a lie again, Nate,” Beatrice said, shaking her head.
“I am not Beatrice. The doctor told me that because of stress, the baby didn’t make it, and he even told me that he had already removed our dead baby inside your womb because if he didn’t do that, then it may harm your health,” Nate said, but Beatrice doesn’t want to accept his explanation.
“Stop telling lies, Nate, where’s the doctor? I want to talk to the doctor, not to you, Nate.” Beatrice said so. Celestine, who was watching them, called the doctor from the nurse station.
“I fucking swear that if something happened to my son, I will not forgive you, Nate,” Beatrice said to Nate, who became more broken because of what she said.
Minutes after Celestine went to the nurse station, she was back with the doctor who talked to them earlier.
“Doctor, how’s my son?” Beatrice asked as soon as the doctor came closer to her. He is with his assistant nurse. The doctor looked at Nate, who wiped the tears from his eyes and looked back to Beatrice, who was waiting for his answer.
“Ma’am, I am sorry the baby didn’t make it.” The doctor said, so Beatrice laughed and shook her head.
“That’s impossible, and you are also telling lies to me, aren’t you?” Beatrice asked, so the doctor took a deep breath. “You’re just making a story for me to believe, right? Stop fooling me because you can’t fool me.” Beatrice said so, and the doctor signaled his assistant to inject a liquid medicine to make Beatrice sleep again.
“Don’t fucking touch me!” Beatrice shouts as the nurse tries to approach her. Nate helped the nurse calm her down until the nurse successfully injected the liquid into Beatrice, making her dizzy until she lost consciousness.
“As of now, Mr. Vowell, we need to understand her feelings, and at the same time, she needs to rest. We also called some psychologists to treat her mentally because what she’s experiencing now is difficult.” The doctor said so. Nate nodded and looked at Beatrice again, who was peacefully sleeping now. He is hurting seeing Beatrice like this; he can’t blame her for her actions because Nate knows that this all started. After all, he lied to her.
“Let her rest for now, Nate. It would be best if you also rested,” Celestine said after the doctor and nurse left them. Nate shook his head and looked at his mom.
“No, Mom, I will stay here and wait for Beatrice to wake up,” Nate said, so Celestine took a deep breath and held his son’s arms.
“Nate, you need to rest. I will be here and look for her; don’t worry.” Celestine said, so Nate looked at his mom and smiled.
“I want to be with her,” Nate said. “I want to look for her because she will leave me again if I don’t. I don’t want to lose her mom.” Nate said, so Celestine looked at Beatrice for a second before she looked at her son.
“We can’t tell that, Nate,” Celestine said. “We can’t force her to stay with us if she wants to let go.” She added, so Nate shook his head.
“No, Mom, I’m willing to give up everything just to let her stay with me,” Nate said, so Celestine watched her son. She knows Nate loves Beatrice so much that he even gives up his pride and ego as the Alpha to beg her not to leave him.
A moment of silence covered the two of them until Nate fell asleep, and Celestine covered him with a blanket. Celestine watched Beatrice and Nate sleeping before she went to sit on the couch beside them.
On the other hand, Rayver stopped the car in front of the hospital where Beatrice admitted. He looked in the side mirror and took a deep breath.
“This will be the first and last help I will give you,” Rayver said while looking at the side mirror. Quiver nodded and smiled at him.
“Thank you,” Quiver said before taking out to Rayver’s car.
Rayver watched him go inside the hospital before he leaned into his seat. This is the first time he helps Quiver as he sees how concerned he is, knowing that Beatrice and Nate are back together. Rayver told Quiver that Beatrice went to the hospital this morning, and Quiver was so concerned knowing that he didn’t update Beatrice about the events until Rayver told Quiver that Nate and Beatrice had gone back together.
At first, Quiver doesn’t believe him and suspects he is doing this because he wants to make a mess between Nate, Beatrice, and Quiver until Rayver gives him evidence to prove that he is telling the truth.
Rayver knows that Quiver is disappointed because of what Beatrice did to him, but at the same time, he is worried about Beatrice. He seeks Rayver’s help to send him where Beatrice is confined.
Rayver believed that everything was a reason why these things were happening, so he thought everything would be alright between Quiver, Nate, and Beatrice.
