The following day, Nate woke up early to prepare food for Beatrice, the moment he stepped into the kitchen, he saw his mom talking to their headmaid. So Nate frowned and walked closer to his mom.
“Mom? What are you doing here?” Nate asked the moment he approached his mom, so Celestine looked at him and smiled.
“Nate, good morning.” Celestine greeted and kissed him. Nate’s eyes rolled when she kissed him.
“What are you doing here? Did you sleep here?” Nate asked. Celestine nodded to his question.
“Yes, I sleep in the guest room,” Celestine said and hooked her hands to Nate’s arm.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Nate asked, so Celestine’s eyes rolled.
“You were busy with Beatrice last night, so I didn’t bother you anymore.” Celestine answered, and the both of them walked towards the table.” Why did you wake up so early?” Celestine asks and sits on the chair. Nate faces her.
“I will cook Beatrice breakfast, and I will also cook food for us, Mom,” Nate said, so Celestine smiled as she watched her son. She can’t believe Nate inherited Gatov’s gentlemanliness and is proud to know that her son is a grown-up gentleman. He and his Father, Gastov, are both gentlemen. What Nate’s doing to Beatrice is what Gastov always does to her.
“So what is your news, son?” Celestine asks ass she remembers that Nate has news for her, but they didn’t mention it yesterday because Eille is here.
“Where is Eille’s mom?” Nate asked, so Celestine leaned on her chair.
“She went home yesterday night after we finished eating our dinner,” Celestine answered, so Nate nodded and sat on the chair before Celestine.
“So tell me what’s the news,” Celestine said as soon as Nate was sitting on the chair before her. Nate watched his mother’s reaction first before he spoke.
“The news is… Me and Beatrice are back together.” Nate said, so Celestine was stunned for a second before she smiled.
“Really?” Celestine asked and took a deep breath.”
“Yes, Mom, we decided to go far away from this town to start over again,” Nate said, so Celestine smiled at her son before her aura became severe.
“But how about Quiver, son?” Celestine asked as she knew that Beatrice was Quiver’s fiancee, and as a woman, she knew that man had feelings too. Once Quiver finds out about their relationship and their plan, Quiver will hurt knowing that Beatrice chooses Nate.
Nate doesn’t answer his mom’s question as he can’t answer it, knowing that they decide quickly and not thinking about other people’s feelings.
“Are you sure about this son?” Celestine asked once more. “Quiver is your friend, and you know he loves Beatrice…”
“But I love Beatrice too, Mom, and Beatrice confesses her feelings for me,” Nate said, knowing that Beatrice chooses him now over Quiver and that Beatrice’s confession and revealing the truth about their baby give him more strength to fight for his right for the baby and his love for Beatrice.
“I know, son, but how about Quiver?” Celestine asked. She was not siding with Quiver and basing it on how Quiver would feel about this.
“He also loves Beatrice, and the fact that he is your friend, he will surely be mad and sad about this, Nate,” Celestine said.
“But I can’t just let her go to the person she didn’t love to move. It’s already come to you that I need to fight for the person I love,” Nate said, so Celestine smiled at him.
“You just like your father,” Celestine said, laughing as she remembered how Nate resembled his father.
“I’m so proud of you because you grew up like your dad. You get his personality,” Celestine said, tears slowly forming in her eyes as she remembered her husband.
Nate came close to her to comfort her and hug her.
“Mom, don’t cry,” Nate said, so Celestine laughed a little and looked at Nate.
“Just do what makes you happy. I will support you,” Celestine said, so Nate nodded. Celestine hugged him and closed her eyes when she hugged her son.
Nate feels that his mom misses his dad, so to make her stop crying, Nate looks at her and smiles.
“Don’t cry., I have another news for you,” Nate said, so Celestine wiped her tears and laughed.
“What is it?” Celestine asked so Nate smiled at her and took a deep breath before he spoke.
“You’re gonna be a grandmother,” Nate said, so Celestine slowly frowned as she didn’t get what he said.
“I am what?”
“You’re going to be a grandmother, Mom. Beatrice is pregnant.” Nate said, so Celestine laughed as she knew Beatrice was pregnant.
“I know that, but what do you mean?” Celestine asked.
“Beatrice confesses to me that I am the real father of the child she’s bearing now,” Nate said. Celestine was stunned for a second as she couldn’t process the information she had heard, but after a few moments, her tears dropped again because of happiness. She can’t believe that Nate will be a father soon.
“Is this real?” Celestine asked and looked at her son’s eyes. Nate nodded, so Celestine hugged him.
“Congratulations, son,” Celestine said that she was pleased to know that she would soon have a grandchild. This is the first time that she will have a grandchild.
Celestine didn’t even imagine that thing and never saw herself that she would be a grandmother soon in the future, and now Nate said the news. It warms her heart; simultaneously, she feels so excited knowing that Nate is now a father.
“Your dad is surely happy for you, son,” Celestine said, wiping her tears.
“I am so happy for the both of you.” She added and laughed as Nate smiled. “Time flies so fast. I’m still in the comfort of you being my small baby boy in the past, and now, you will have a baby soon.” She said and held her son’s hand.
“I am so happy for the both of you.” She said.
“I want to see Beatrice and talk to her. Is she already awake?” She asked, so Nate shook his head.
“She’s still sleeping, mom.” Nate answer.
“I will talk to her later when she’s awake, and I wanna know what kind of potion you used to get her back to you,” Celestine said, so Nate laughed.
