In the morning, Beatrice returns to Quiver’s mansion as she can’t stand seeing herself hurting Quiver. She already told this to Nate, and even Nate doesn’t want to bring her back. He has no choice but to follow her.
Of course, Nate is hurting knowing that Beatrice still chooses to be with Quiver after she admits to him last night that she loves him. He wants to fight for her, but Beatrice is the only one who makes him feel he can’t win with Quiver now that she’s engaged to him and there will be a baby soon.
The only chance Nate sees is the truth behind who is the father of the baby, and he is hoping that Rayver will find out who the father is as soon as possible before anything else comes late.
Nate took a deep breath and looked at Beatrice, who was silent and looking in one direction only.
“Are you sure about this?” Nate asked, so Beatrice slowly turned her head and looked at him. She nodded and smiled.
Nate’s chest seems broken because of her answer. He swallows and starts his car engine before driving to Quiver’s mansion.
On their trip, the both of them are not talking, and they’re both thinking of each other. Of course, they’re hurting inside, but Nate can’t do anything; if this is what she wants, he will give it.
Beatrice was watching from the window, thinking about what would happen to Nate after. She is stopping herself from caring about him, but of course, she can’t as she is so concerned about Nate, knowing that Nate is hurting because of her decision.
“I need to do this because this is the only way I’ve seen to stop hurting Nate. He will probably have another girl in the future…” Beatrice said in her mind.
After 30 minutes, they arrived in front of Quiver’s mansion. Beatrice and Nate didn’t move as soon as the car engine turned off. The both of them didn’t want to get out of the car, but Beatrice forced herself to look at Nate and smile at him.
“Thank you,” Beatrice said; Nate looked at her and said no words.
“Thank you for caring for me and bringing me back here.” She added.
Tears formed in her eyes, knowing that any minute, Nate would leave her alone because of her decision. Her heart is breaking while thinking what will be the possible outcome of her decision.
“Please take care of yourself.” She said and looked down as her tears fell to her eyes. Nate saw that. That’s why he slowly grabbed her face and faced him, and then he wiped her tears using her fingers.
Beatrice burst into tears when she looked at Nate, and she saw how sad his face was and how sorry his eyes were trying not to cry while looking at her.
Nate doesn’t know what to say, and he can’t think straight at this moment, knowing that he needs to stay away from Beatrice and start his life without her in the future.
“Don’t cry, you don’t have to cry…” Nate said with his solemn voice.
“Take care…” he added and looked at Beatrice once more before grabbing and kissing her on her forehead. Nate closed his eyes the moment he kissed her forehead. His tears finally dropped from his eyes as he heard Beatrice cry.
They can’t leave each other, and they’re both hurting and don’t want to leave each other.
“I’m sorry…” Beatrice said while crying. Nate hugged her even more, knowing that Beatrice couldn’t leave him. “I’m sorry if I have to do this. I’m sorry if I’m so selfish knowing that I’m hurting you, yet I’m still doing this thing for the sake of others.” Beatrice added while hugging Nate.
This time, she will admit that she can’t leave without him, and her love for him never fades. She was trying to love someone else to forget about Nate, to forget her feelings for Nate.
But the faith plays foul as it still gives way to Beatrice and Nate seeing each other and playing for their feelings again.
“I’m sorry for doing this… I’m sorry for hurting you…” Beatrice said and looked at Nate, who is also crying right now.
“I told you, Beatrice, I am willing to fight for you, to take care of you and your baby, to be with you again. Give me one chance, and I’ll prove it to you.” Nate said and wiped Beatrice’s tears.
“I’m willing to sacrifice anything for you just to prove how much I regret not listening to you in the past, to prove how much I love you.” He added and looked at Beatrice’s eyes.
“All you have to do is to be with me, to trust me. That’s all, Beatrice.”
“I’m sorry…” Beatrice whispered and kissed Nate on his lips, which hurt Nate, knowing that this would be the last kiss he would get from her.
“I’m sorry…” Beatrice said again and hugged him.
“I’m sorry I’m so selfish…”
“I told you that we can start a new beginning and new life together… let’s forget about what happened in the past,” Nate said and wiped his tears.
“We can be together, Beatrice, if you want. Just tell me you want to be with me for the rest of your life.” He added.
Beatrice thinks first before answering him. She will become selfish for herself now and greedy for her child.
She knew that she had a promise to Quiver, but this was the calling that she needed to follow her heart instead of her mind.
“I… I want to be with you for the rest of my life.” Beatrice said so. Nate was stunned for a second after hearing her words. He first looks at her eyes, and Beatrice laughs, knowing she shocked Nate.
“I want to be with you, Nate… for the rest of my life.” A smile slowly formed on Nate’s lips, and kissed her lips. Beatrice kissed him back with so much love.
“I love you…” Beatrice whispered, so Nate wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.
“I love you too,” Nate said and hugged her. He even closed his eyes, knowing that the things he feared didn’t happen, and he was pleased knowing that Beatrice would not leave him anymore.
“Let’s start again. Let’s leave this town and start again.” Nate said while hugging her.
“I will take care of you and your baby…” he added, and the moment that Nate told him, Beatrice looked at him and smiled. This time, she is ready to tell Nate the truth about their child.
“I need to tell you something,” Beatrice said and held his hand. Nate looked at her, feeling uneasy with her expression.
“What is that?” He asked while his heart was beating so fast. Beatrice smiled at her and looked at her belly before looking at Nate again.
“Please don’t be mad.” She said, knowing that there was a chance Nate would get mad at her for hiding the truth from him.
“Of course, I will not,” Nate said, so Beatrice looked him in the eye before she took a deep breath and smiled at him.
“You’re the father of the child I’m bearing now.” She said that made Nate stunned.
