Rayver toasts a wine to Quiver, who has a fake smile right now, and he doesn’t understand why Rayver is without Nate. One more thing: Quiver is wondering if Nate knows about this.
“Is Nate not gonna find Rayver?” Quiver asked himself while drinking his wine.
There is a part of him that feels something strange, and he wants to know what that part is, as he can’t stand this feeling.
“Are you planning something against Nate?” Quiver asked suddenly. That’s why Rayver laughed and put down the table the wine glass he was holding.
“What kind of question is that?” Rayver asked and shook his head.
“Of course not. I am loyal to my Alpha, and I treat my Alpha as part of my family after all the good things he did for me.” Rayver said, so Quiver put the wine glass on the table and crossed his arms.
The two are left on the table as Simone entertains some of his family’s guests.
“Well, this is my first time encountering a Beta with a business,” Quiver said. Rayver knows his point, but the only reason he is here is because of the mission that Nate gave to him.
To find out who is the baby’s father in Beatrice’s womb. Rayver knows Nate wants to know this to get Beatrice in his life.
If Nate finds out the truth that he is the father of the child, then he will fight for his right as the child’s father and fight to win back Beatrice again.
The point is that his mission and the business he runs coincidentally have been happening. For Rayver, this is an excellent opportunity to take, especially if he wants to know something about Quiver.
“Mr. Nate supposedly be the one who will manage this business, but when he learned something about Hansell, he told me to be seated in his place as the co-founder of this business,” Rayver explained, so Quiver suddenly enlightened because of what he said.
“I see…” Quiver said and got his drink in front of him and drank it.
“Then why is he not here?” Quiver asked again. Rayver smiled, knowing what and where Nate was and what he was doing now.
“I think he’s minding his own business.” Rayver said and smile at Quiver.
There’s a long silence covering the two of them, and from that time, Rayver is thinking of how he will find the truth using Quiver there. An idea pops into his mind while watching the magician guy in front doing his own business to entertain the guests.
A smirk formed on Rayver’s lips while thinking about the plan he made.
“I’m sure this will work,” Rayver said in his mind.
On the other hand, Beatrice opened her eyes in the middle of the night and immediately saw Nate, who was sleeping beside her; his long eyelashes immediately caught her attention next to his angelic face. Beatrice watched Nate sleep and start thinking of something.
“What if Papa didn’t die? Are we still a happy couple now?” Beatrice asked in her mind and suddenly touched his face.
“I hope you find a girl who will love you just how you love her…” Beatrice added and then made her cry for thinking that someone would replace her in Nate’s heart.
She knew that Nate deserved someone who would love him for the rest of his life, but it makes her sad knowing that Nate could meet and love another girl.
“What if I go back with him and inform him the truth about our baby?” Beatrice suddenly shook her head and put her hands down.
“Quiver will be sad because of me, and I don’t want to hurt him,” Beatrice said and sobbed.
“Beatrice…are you crying?” Nate asked as he felt that she was crying. Beatrice immediately wiped her tears.
“No….” Beatrice denied. Nate immediately sat on their bed and grabbed her to face him.
“What happened?” Nate asked and wiped her tears.
“Nothing…” Beatrice answered and smiled at him. Nate looked at her eyes seriously and took a deep breath.
“Is something hurt in you?” Nate asked, and Beatrice shook her head in answer.
“Then what’s wrong?” Nate asked. Beatrice took a deep breath.
“I just realized something.” She said and looked at Nate’s eyes.
“I just realized that what we are doing is wrong… Quiver might hurt because of what we are doing.” Beatrice said. Nate looked into her eyes and saw that she was telling the truth, so Nate smiled at him and held her hands.
“He won’t know about this… promise,” Nate said and held her two hands. “Just let me take care of you, Beatrice, after this week, I will not bother you again,” Nate said, which made Beatrice stop, knowing that Nate would do what he said.
“Why can’t you just let me go, Nate?” Beatrice asked so Nate could look her in the eye.
“Because I love you.” Nate answer.
“Then why didn’t you listen when I told you the truth? Why you didn’t believe me when I told you the truth?”Beatrice asked, so Nate looked down.
“Because I’m a coward.” He answered and closed his eyes. “And that’s the biggest thing I regret about,” he added.
“I just wished I could turn back the time.”Nate looks at Beatrice.
“I’m sorry if I’m doing this, but if it’s against your will to be with me… then I don’t have a choice but to bring you back to Quiver’s mansion and let you go,” Nate added, so Beatrice’s tears fell.
“I love you….” Beatrice whispered, which made Nate stunned for a second. “I love you, but I can’t be with you anymore… Quiver needs me, and I promise him I will not leave him no matter what happens.” Beatrice added.
“Beatrice… why can’t you choose me? It already came from your mouth that you love me. Why… why are you still choosing Quiver?” Nate asked.
“Because he is the only one who believed in me when no one did,” Beatrice answered, so Nate grabbed her to kiss her on her lips.
Beatrice kissed him back, but her tears couldn’t stop falling from her eyes as she knew that what they were doing was wrong.
Beatrice pushes Nate away from her and starts sobbing. Nate grabbed her to hug her tight.
“Let’s return to what we used to be, Beatrice… please return to me,” Nate said while hugging her. Beatrice didn’t say anything.
She is hurting, and they’re both hurting, but Beatrice still chooses to be with Quiver even though she knows he doesn’t love him.
“I love you, Beatrice… please come back to me..” Nate whispered in her ears.
“I love you too, Nate….” Beatrice said and looked at him. “But I can’t… We can’t be together anymore.” She added.
