Nate put the last flower in Clerophine’s Coffin and watched the three men bury the coffin; he took a deep breath and remembered all their happy memories when they were both children. They had many good times back then, and now those good-time memories will only last in Nate’s memory as Clerophine is already dead.
Nate couldn’t imagine that Clerophine could do such a thing. He knows that Clerophine only
wants love, but he guessed no one gave it to her, and he is so sorry, knowing that he was one of those people who didn’t provide them with the love she wanted.
“I’m now happy, knowing she took her own life before me because she’s scared of going to jail.” Nate looks at Celestine, who has no emotion on her face while watching the man bury Clerophine’s coffin.
“She deserves to die after what she has done to your father,” Celestine added. Nate keeps silent, knowing his mother is still hurting even though she said his words.
“She gave so much drama and shame in our family’s name.” Nate took a deep breath and looked at the sky; the sun was bright and blue, like the ocean.
“We can start our family again, Mom,” Nate said while looking into the sky, thinking about something.
“I can’t start knowing that your father is gone,” Celestine said, so Nate looked at her.
“Dad will be mad at you if he sees you like that, Mom,” Nate said, so Celestine looked at him and smiled bitterly.
“I really love your dad, Nate, and even though I have anger issues, he’s the only one who understands me and still chooses me even though I’m a mess,” Celestine said while she
remembered how Gastov always chose her and understood her.
“He’s the only love of my life, and I am so happy that I choose to fight for him.” Nate smiled
while listening to his mom. He immediately imagines what if he had fought for Beatrice at a time when everything was a mess.
“Your dad fought for me until his last breath, your dad fought for me whenever the situation is… and that thing what I love the most about him. So I don’t know where and how to start if my man is not on my side.” Celestine said. Nate’s smile fades as he imagines how Beatrice starts without him.
He still remembers how Beatrice said to him that night at their party that she never loved him, and that hurts him so much knowing that Beatrice never loved him, even once.
“So son… I want you to fight for your love just as your dad fought for me.” Celestine said that made Nate stop.
Nate looks at his mother’s face and scans it, knowing his mother had never told this to him before. And as far as he remembers, Celestine doesn’t like Beatrice.
“What are you talking about, mom?” Nate asked. Celestine smiles and holds his son’s hand. “I know you know what I am talking about, son,” Celestine said, looking at his son’s eyes. “I want you to fight for your love once, just like your dad fought for me,” Celestine added, looking at the grass.
“Fight for Beatrice until you win her back to you again,” Celestine said, which stunned Nate. “But Mom, I thought you don’t like her?” Nate asked while watching his mother’s reaction.
“Yes, I don’t like her. But you love her. Your heart does not depend on me, Nate, and I’ve realized your dad was right that you’re already a grown-up man.” Celestine said with a smile on her face. “And just like your dad said to me the night that you left our mansion with Beatrice, he said that you have the right to choose who woman you want to love and be with in the future,” Celestine
added and looked at her son.
“That’s why I’m giving you and Beatrice my permission to be together. And I promise I won’t interfere again.” Celestine said that made Nate’s heart happy.
Nate is so happy knowing that his mom permits them, but Nate suddenly remembers that Beatrice is already engaged with his friend, Quiver.
“I am so happy to hear this, Mom,” Nate said, but his smile faded.
“But Beatrice is now happy with Quiver. She’s engaged with him already, and they will have a family soon.” Nate said, which made Celestine’s forehead frown.
“What do you mean?” Celestine asked.
“Quiver invited me to their engagement party and their baby’s gender reveal,” Nate said. Celestine worried about her son, knowing she was at fault for their breakup.
“I am so confused about who is the father of that child, and I asked her about that because I have this feeling that I am the father of the child she’s bearing, but then she told me that Quiver is the father of that child and told me that she never loves me, not even once,” Nate said, so Celestine took a deep breath, knowing Beatrice loved Nate.
Celestine has the power to read people’s feelings, and the first time she sees Beatrice, Celestine already knows that Beatrice loves Nate. And same with Nate as she reads it’s feeling now.
Celestine watched her son’s expression and thought about something she would do to see her son’s smile again.
“You know what, if you don’t fight for her, you will regret it.” Celestine’s advice to her son so Nate could look at her once again.
“That’s your dad always saying. It’s better to have risk than never.” Celestine said that made Nate smile.
“But I don’t want to ruin their relationship, Mom,” Naye said, so Celestine smiled. “You’re not going to ruin their relationship, son. You’re just bringing back what’s yours,” Celestine said, which made Nate’s mind play in imagination again.
Beatrice is in their garden the next day, showering the flowers and plants. This is her routine every morning when Quiver leaves her alone with maids to go to the business.
She also likes to see plants, especially flowers, because looking at them gives her a chill. “Ma’am Beatrice, your breakfast is ready.” The maid said, so Beatrice turned to look at the maid and smiled at her.
“Okay, can you please put it on the table? I want to eat here in the garden.” Beatrice said, so the maid nodded and put her food on the garden table.
Beatrice started eating her food after a few minutes of showering the plants.
The surroundings are too silent, and it gives her a chill moment. “Ms. Beatrice.” Beatrice looked at the maid again as it called her.
“Someone is looking for you outside the gate. The woman said she’s your friend.” The maid said that made Beatrice’s forehead frown.
“Friend?” Beatrice asked in her mind. She’s not expecting someone to visit her today, and she has no friends.
“Did she give her name?” Beatrice asked. The made shocked its head in answer.
Beatrice stood from her seat and walked towards the gate to see who the maid was referring to. As Beatrice opened the gate, she suddenly stopped as she saw who is her visitor.
“Hello, Beatrice,” Celestine said with a smile that made Beatrice nervous.
