“What are you talking about, Rayver?” Nate said, looking at his beta with his serious eyes. Rayver looked toward Clerophine, who was looking at him with her eyes full of anger, and her tears were about to drop.
“What is the meaning of all of this?” They were all looking at the door when someone entered. Clerophine’s office.
It’s Celestine with her strong aura.
“Mom…” Clerophine called her, walked near her, and hugged Celestine. Celestine looked at Nate and Eille.
“What happened?” Celestine asked Clerophine, who was crying on her shoulder. “What did you do to your sister, Nate?” Celestine asked and hugged Clerophine.
“I didn’t do anything to her.” Nate said coldly while looking at Clerophine/”She’s the one who did something terrible that even your mom will be mad at her.” Nate said, so Celestine’s forehead
frowned.
“What did they do to you?” Celestine asked Clerophine.
“They’re all humiliating me, Mom,” Clerophine said, so Celestine looked at Nate again. “They’re saying stuff I don’t even know,” Clerophine added.
“Like what?”
“They’re all saying that I am the one who killed Dad,” Clerophine said, boiling Celestine’s blood. “Who told you that?” Celestine asked in anger.
“Nate’s beta and that witch,” Clerophine said, pointing to Eille. Celestine looked at Eille.
“What are you saying about my daughter?” Celestine asked Eille in her mad tone of voice. “I’m just telling the truth that she’s the one who killed their dad,” Eille said. That made Celestine’s blood boil, and he was about to slap Eille when Nate stopped his mom.
“Don’t hurt her,” Nate said to Celestine.
“Why would I not? That garbage is making some drama in our lives. She even suspected your sister about your dad’s death. We all know that Beatrice is the one who killed your dad.” As he heard Beatrice’s name, Celestine said that made Nate’s blood boil.
“Don’t put Beatrice’s name here,” Nate said coldly to his mom, which made Celestine laugh. “Why would I not? She’s a killer, a garbage and useless Ex-luna of yours.” Celestine said. Nate keeps himself calm. He doesn’t want to start some arguments with his mom, and he still respects Celestine as his mom.
“Ms. Beatrice is innocent, Ma’am.” Celestine and Nate turn their head to Rayver. “And Eille is telling the truth about Clerophine killing Mr. Gastov.” He added.
“What makes you think I will believe in your stupid words, trash? You’re just a lowly beta of my son, so stop middling in our conversation.” Celestine said.
Rayver shook his head as he waved the envelope in the air.
“I have the evidence to prove our allegation to Ms. Clerophine,” Rayver said. Clerophine looked at the envelope and looked back to Rayver.
Clerophine knows that any minute or second now, Rayver can reveal her secret by pulling out what is on that envelope, so Clerophine immediately goes to Rayver and is about to get the
envelope when Eille stops her by pushing her away from Rayver, makes her sit on the floor. “OH MY GOODNESS!” Celestine shouted as she saw how Eille pushed her stepdaughter. Celestine immediately helped Clerophine and looked at Eille as soon as Clerophine stood up. “How dare you hurt my daughter?!” Celestine asked and slapped Eille hard in her face.
“Mom!” Nate stopped his mom, but Celestine looked at her badly, and Nate knew that Celestine was furious now.
“She wanted to get the evidence Rayver holding so that her sin can’t be revealed,” Eille said. “You have no right to hurt her,” Celestine said.
“Then she had no right to attack my beta,” Nate said, so Celestine looked at him. “Why does Clerophine want to get the envelope to Rayver if she’s not guilty?” Nate asked.
“Is this what you adopt to this trashy woman?” Celestine asked Nate. “You just letting them hurt your little sister?” She added.
“Because Clerophine is the one who created this drama, Mom,” Nate said, looking at Clerophine. “She put the L’una Muanavara file on Eille’s desk to frame Eille,” Nate said, making Celestine look at Clerophine.
“No, mom. I didn’t do that.” Clerophine said.
“Rayver tells us that she framed Beatrice for Dad’s death,” Nate added. “I didn’t do that!” Clerophine said while crying.
“I can’t do that to dad.” She added and looked at Celestine.
“Maybe…maybe Rayver is siding with Beatrice, and Beatrice orders him to create this mess so I will look like the villain,” Clerophine said and held her mother’s hand.
“Mom… you know me, I can’t hurt someone, even Dad,” Clerophine said.
Celestine didn’t answer her as she remembered what Gastov told her a year ago when Gastov caught Clerophine about to stab her while sleeping.
“Mom…” Celestine looks at Clerophine.
“There is one thing to stop this mess,” Celestine said, looking at Rayver. “Tell us what’s inside that envelope,” Celestine said. Clerophine is stunned and looking at Rayver.
“Mom… no…” Celestine turns her head to Clerophine, who is scared while looking at Rayver. “Why are you scared, Clerophine? It’s just an envelope.” Celestine said, so Clerophine looked at her.
“Are you also accusing me mom?” Clerophine asked.
“No, but this is the only way to stop this mess,” Celestine said, looking back at Rayver.
“Now, tell us what is inside the envelope,” Celestine said. Rayver looked at Clerophine, who was looking at her.
Clerophine knows that once they all know the truth, they will hurt her and put her in jail, so the only way to stop this is to kill Rayver.
“No one should know the truth…” Clerophine said in her mind and slowly grabbed the gun behind her back
“These are the photos taken from the hidden camera of Sir Gastov’s room…” Rayver said and opened the envelope. Rayver suddenly stopped when the loud sound of the gun echoed in the room.
Clerophine immediately shoots Rayver, which causes a loud noise inside her office.
Nate looked in the direction of Rayver, who was stunned while looking at Clerophine, who shot him in the chest.
“Rayver!” Nate shouted and looked at Clerophine, who was shocked after what she did to Rayver.
“WHAT DID YOU DO?!” Nate yelled and turned to his werewolf form and attacked Clerophine, which caused them to drop on the floor while Nate was on top of Clerophine and pointed his sharp claws at Clerophine’s neck.
“Nate, stop!” Celestine stopped him, but Nate didn’t listen. “NATE!”
