Beatrice took a deep breath as she put down the flower she was holding on her sister’s tombstone. She read the name printed on the monument and smiled.
“I miss you,” Beatrice said while looking at her sister’s tombstone. “I miss you and wish you
were with me now because I need your comforting hugs,” Beatrice said, and her tears suddenly fell as she said those words.
She really missed Margarett, and right now, she needed Margarett the most as everything that happens to her is all suck.
Beatrice is drained and knows she can’t stress herself because it might affect the baby. Beatrice suddenly remembers her conversation with Nate at their party.
“Who is the father of the child?” Nate asked. That made Beatrice stunned; she knew who the father was, and that was Nate. At that moment she was scared and didn’t know what to do.
Is she going to tell Nate the truth? Or pretend that he is not the father of the Child? Beatrice’s eyes are scared, looking at Nate’s calm and cold eyes.
“Answer me, Beatrice,” Nate said. Beatrice laughed sarcastically and stood straight, facing Nate powerfully.
“Of course it’s Quiver, why are you asking?” Beatrice asked. Nate’s heart shuttered into pieces as he heard her answer.
“Don’t make me fool Beatrice. We had sex during the time that we were okay. I count the number of months you’re pregnant, and it gives me the idea that I am the father of that Child.” Nate said earnestly and desperately.
Beatrice’s heart beats fast, knowing that Nate is right. But she doesn’t want to tell the truth to Nate. She’s still hurt by how Nate ignored her when she needed someone to listen to her and believe in her.
“So tell me the truth, Beatrice, who is the father or that child in your womb?” Nate asked again. Beatrice watched him for a second and then laughed bitterly.
She knows Nate won’t stop bugging her, so she needs to hurt him to stop annoying her. “You know the truth, huh?” Beatrice said seriously while looking at Nate’s eyes.
“The truth is. Me and Quiver have a relationship while we’re married. We fucked each other behind your back Nate.” Beatrice lied, and she was hurt when she said those words.
But she has no choice but to do this. She doesn’t want to come back to Nate again, even if she still loves him and cares for him.
“That’s the truth, Nate,” Beatrice said. Nate is stunned for a second as he’s looking at Beatrice. Her words are still processing in his mind, and it hurts him so much knowing that she betrayed him not once, not twice, but thrice.
“That’s not true…” Nate said, looking at her with disappointed eyes.
“That’s the truth, Nate, I’m fucking Quiver while we are in a relationship!”
“LIAR!” Nate shouted in pain. He couldn’t stop his tears as they flowed automatically from his eyes.
“I know you’re just lying to me, Beatrice. You’re just telling me this fucking lie because you want to hurt me!”
“No, Nate, I’m telling this because that’s the truth!” Beatrice said, stopping herself from crying. She was hurting while saying those lies. She had no option but to do this as she thought it was right.
“No… you can’t do that. I know you can’t do such a thing…” Nate said while shaking his head. “But I did,” Beatrice said. Seeing Nate crying makes her heartbreak as she can’t stand seeing him sad.
Nate fell silent for a moment before he asked another question. “Did you… did you love me… Beatrice?” Nate asked in pain.
Beatrice said yes in her mind, knowing she did love him until now.
“No,” Beatrice said coldly. Her heart breaks when she says that word. Beatrice wants to hug him, apologize, and tell the truth about their baby. But she stopped herself because she didn’t want to go back to his house again and his life as Beatrice thought that she only ruined Nate’s life and he deserved much better than her.
“I didn’t love you from the beginning… Nate.” Beatrice said directly into his eyes, making him feel sad, broken, and hopeless.
“I lied to him… even though I know from the bottom of my heart that I still love him until now, and forcing myself to love someone to forget him,” Beatrice said to her sister’s grave.
“I’m just fooling myself…” Beatrice said and wiped her tears.
On the other hand, Rayver is looking at the paper he’s holding and the picture of Clerophine, his main suspect in killing Gastov. A smirk on his lips formed as he already knew the truth behind the death of Gastov.
“I need to tell this to Mr. Nate,” Rayver said and put the paper back in the envelope before he stood up and walked to exit his room.
While in Eille’s office, Eille looks at the file on her desk before she looks at Nate, who is very mad at her.
“I’m telling you, I didn’t get that file. I don’t know how that file got here on my desk,” Eille said to Nate.
“Really? Then what happened? The file walk itself and get here?” Nate asked angrily.
“I don’t know! I was with you last night. Why would I even do this? and how would I even do this thing?” Eille asked madly, knowing she had not put the file on her desk.
“One more thing, how will I even know about this stuff when, in the first place, I don’t even know that this thing exists,” Eille added, making Nate stop for a second.
“Believed me, I don’t have any idea about this file existing, and I also have no intention to betray you or to steal this file of yours,” Eille said.
Nate thinks about something, as Eille said she didn’t know this file existed. He only knew one person who knew about the file, Clerophine.
“It’s Clerophine,” Nate said suddenly, which made Eille stop. “What?”
“She’s the only one who knew about the file,” Nate said, boiling Eille’s blood. Her anger rose to her body, knowing that Clerophine wanted to war on her.
“That wicked witch!” Eille said madly and went out to her office first to find Clerophine. Nate followed her, knowing a later war between Clerophine and Eille would happen.
