Nate looked seriously at Quiver while Beatrice was still occupied with what she heard.
“I know this dinner was supposed to be your romantic time with your beautiful wife, but I just wanna be sure that the information I gathered is legit,” Quiver said to Nate.
Nate took a deep breath and looked at Beatrice.
“Can we talk about this the other time?” Nate said while looking at his wife. Beatrice suddenly looked at Nate.
“Why?” Quiver asked. “Is your wife didn’t know about the clan war?” He added.
“Nope.”
“I wanna hear it too,” Beatrice said immediately. She wanna know how Nate killed her sister.
“I mean, as your wife, I should know my Husband’s background, right?” Beatrice said, so Quiver’s lips formed a smirk.
“She’s right, Nate. She is your wife and has the right to know her husband.” Quiver said. Nate looked at them before he drank the wine in front of him.
“Well, it all started when my Ex-girlfriend betrayed my clan,” Nate said, which made Beatrice stop.
“Ex-girlfriend? His only ex is Eille, right? So Eille betray him?” Beatrice asked herself, her gaze not taking off to Nate.
“Eille?” She suddenly asked, so Nate looked at her and nodded in response. Beatrice was stunned even more as Nate confirmed it.
“She told the deepest secret of our clan to your clan, which made you mad, and ordered your clan to attack my clan,” Nate said. “And as a leader, I’m just trying to protect my clan from your people, so what I did is fight back, although I didn’t know why your clan attacked us,” Nate added.
“In addition to that, there was the news from the Clan Org. that you are trying to make a partnership with Wuna Clan, so it gives me the idea that you’re really betraying me and our relationship,” Nate said. “After the clan war, a rumor spread saying that I’ve killed someone significant to your pack, which I am confused about because I know from the very first start that I didn’t kill someone and I didn’t want to hurt someone, what I did is only to protect my clan,” Nate added, which made Beatrice to stopped.
She looked at Nate seriously.
“So the information I gathered is all true, huh,” Quiver said with a smile on his face, Beatrice looked at him.
“First of all, what secret are you referring to about Von High’s business?” Quiver asked, Nate nodded, which made Quiver smile.
“I already know that, Nate, from the start,” Quiver said, which stunned Nate. “From the beginning of our friendship, I already knew about that,” Quiver added.
“Second of all, just what I said earlier, I didn’t give an order to my beta to attack your clan,” Quiver added with a serious voice.
“And about the news about Wuna Clan partnership, the truth is they offer me a high price to have a good relationship with them and betray your clan,” Quiver said. “But the thing is, I never accepted their offer because I knew that betraying you would make a big mess in my name and my clan,” Quiver added, which stunned Nate even more.
All this time, he thinks that Quiver accepted the offer and that his friend betrayed him, but what Quiver says to him makes him stunned because all that he thinks is entirely different from what Quiver did.
“And regarding the rumor you referred to, I heard that too,” Quiver said, which made Beatrice more serious, she knew that they were referring to her sister.
“The rumor said that you stabbed my Beta.” Beatrice’s hands are under the table, and she is finching them right now as she hears the description of her sister.
“Nate, my Beta, is significant to my clan and me because she holds so much important information about my clan and private information about me,” Quiver said. “And honestly, She was supposed to be the Luna of my pack,” Quiver added, which made Beatrice stop.
“Margarett was supposed to be his Luna? Then it means they have a relationship?” Beatrice asked herself as she was looking at Quiver.
On the other hand, Nate didn’t speak as he was shocked to know that Quiver, supposed to be Luna died during that war, but he knew that he didn’t kill anyone during the war.
“And honestly, it makes me mad, I came back here hoping to see my supposed to be Luna again, but what I only see is her name engraved on a cold tombstone,” Quiver said.
“I knew I didn’t kill anyone during the clan war.”
“Then who killed my Beta, Nate?” Quiver asked solemnly, he was holding back because he didn’t want to start a fight.
Nate looked at Quiver seriously, he knew that Quiver was mad. But he really doesn’t know who killed his Luna.
“I… don’t know,” Nate answered, which made Beatrice mad.
Beatrice was quiet, she was also holding herself because she didn’t want to ruin her plan.
She’s mad at the moment because they’re talking about her sister, and just like Quiver, Beatrice is also angry about what happened to her sister. And she didn’t believe Nate that he was not the one who killed her sister. She didn’t believe what Nate said because she was blind by the idea that Nate killed her sister, even though she had no evidence to support her.
“Quiver, look, I knew you were mad because of what happened to your Luna. But trust me, I never killed someone during the war.” Nate said.
“Did you bury your Luna already?” Nate asked.
“Yeah, her family buried her already.”
“If you want, we can request her family to give us permission to dig in her grave and examine her body, the power of science will surely trace the true killer of your Luna,” Nate said, which made Beatrice to looked at him.
“No. No. No. If his request happened, I am sure my plan would be ruined, and he will know the truth about me.” Beatrice said to herself while she was looking at Nate.
“Why would he even do that when the very first start? He is really the one who killed my sister!” Beatrice added. She holds her spoon tightly as she looks at Nate.
“No need,” Quiver said, and she looked at him, and a comfort to her suddenly passed in her body.
“I think I already knew who’s the one who killed her,” Quiver said, which made Beatrice look at him even more.
“What is he trying to say? Nate is the only one who killed Margarett.”
