“That witch slapped me! She was about to hurt me earlier, thank God you came to save me.” Clerophine said and hugged Nate, he suddenly felt uncomfortable, and he even rolled his eyes when Clerophine hugged him, Beatrice just watched them with a disgusted expression on her face, she turned her back to them and was about to walk into the kitchen when Clerophine spoke again.
“Where are you going? We’re not yet done, tell Nate what you did to me earlier, you fucking witch!” Clerophine shouted, Nate removed Clerophine’s hands on him and looked at Beatrice, while Beatrice sighed and looked at Nate.
“I slapped your sister because she’s annoying and a sensitive bitch who doesn’t know how to shut the fuck her mouth. I was about to slide her neck earlier because of annoyances, but you suddenly came, so she’s alive.” Beatrice said straight to Nate, which made him stop and laugh.
“Why are you laughing?!” Clerophine asked her brother, she pointed at Beatrice. “Can’t you even hear what she said? She admitted that she hurt me earlier, and you were supposedly mad at her because she hurt your precious sister.” Clerophine said.
Nate just shook his head and looked at Beatrice with amazement.
“She’s really unpredictable.” She said to herself.
“Nate!” Clerophine shouted out of annoyance. Nate looked at her coldly.
“You must respect my wife, especially since you’re inside our territory,” Nate said to his sister. Clerophine was shocked because of what he said.
“And Margarett, you need to have long patience with her. She’s still my blood relative.” Nate said to Beatrice, so she just rolled her eyes and continued to walk towards the kitchen, Nate followed her while Clerophine left alone, looking at his brother.
“What the fuck is that? He really chooses her over me?!” Clerophine couldn’t believe what she had witnessed, so she walked upstairs and went to her room instead.
When Beatrice sat down in her chair and waited for her food, Nate sat beside her, so she looked at him.
“Are you mad?” Nate asked her; Beatrice just looked at him. “What did I do? Did I do something bad?” Nate asked her again.
“Can you please quiet for a little time? I just woke up, and your sister greeted me with harsh words, so my morning is ruined.” Beatrice said, so Nate suddenly shut up. Until her food came, Nate ordered their maid to prepare food for him and watch Beatrice eat.
Nate doesn’t know why he feels like this to her, he feels scared when Margarett is mad, and it makes him weak, but at the same time, he likes it because she’s the only woman who can make him feel that feeling.
Margarett is like a badass for him.
“What do you need?” Beatrice asked him as she bit her food. Nate’s food suddenly arrived.
“Well, I just want to ask if I did something wrong yesterday because you left early,” Nate said, so she suddenly stopped and remembered how she killed her same tribesmen.
“You did nothing,” Beatrice said coldly and continued eating, Nate took a deep breath and leaned on his chair.
“Don’t lie to me, you will not leave me alone there earlier when I didn’t do anything wrong.” He said, so Beatrice looked at him again and put the utensils down.
“To be honest, I don’t like how the ceremonial yesterday happened; well, I know that it is a test, but why would I need to kill someone, especially the one who didn’t do anything wrong to me?” Beatrice asked, her blood was boiling this time, but she kept calming herself down.
“He’s our enemy. He came from another clan.” Nate said, which made her irritated more.
“Did that man do anything wrong to you? Did he even hurt you?” Beatrice asked, so Nate stopped.
“I told you all I want is to live in peace, yet you force me to kill someone for the sake of a test.” She added and suddenly stood up, Nate looked at her.
“I am full now, I also have an appointment today.” She said before she left him alone at the dining table.
Nate watched her walk away from him, and he suddenly lost his appetite.
In the afternoon, Beatrice goes to Darwin’s place and tells them everything that happened yesterday.
“I was forced to do that because he said it is a test, and I need to prove to his clan that I am worth it as their Luna.” She said; Darwin smiled at her and kissed her hand, calming her.
“Calm down, Beatrice, I believe in you,” Darwin said, looking into her eyes.
“Don’t worry, I am not mad at you, and I will tell this to Johnson’s family; we will avenge him and your sister,” Darwin said, which made Beatrice smile, she leaned his head on his chest and looked out the window.
“So what’s our plan? I desperately want to kill him soon as possible.” She said.
“I know, and I want that thing, too,” Darwin said. “So what we’re going to do is to do the plan I made.” He said, so Beatrice looked at him.
Darwin smiled at her and suddenly stood up, Beatrice watched him go to the mini table and get something from there before he returned to her.
“This is the plan,” Darwin said, giving her the small poison bottle.
“Poison?”
“Yes, you were going to put this on Nate’s food or drink, and when he succeeded in swallowing the food, he will die in a few seconds after swallowing the food that contains poison,” Darwin said, so Beatrice slowly got the poison in his hand and looked at it.
“And then, when you successfully kill Nate, we can be together forever with our big clan.” He added with a smile on his lips, Beatrice looked at him.
“We’ll settle after Nate dies and build a big family,” Darwin added, which made her smile. It’s really her dream to become his wife and baby’s mother. And she’s happy hearing those words from him.
At least she knows that, Darwin is willing to be with her for the rest of his life..
