Chapter 18 Meeting Madam Lucas

Book:The CEO Alpha King Published:2024-5-1

Writer’s POV
After Elena left the king’s chambers, she went to seek out Grandma Felicia and was taken to her room at the mini mansion.
When Grandma Felicia saw her she couldn’t help the surprise look that clouded her features.
“Good morning Alpha Elena.” Grandma Felicia greeted, bowing a little in submission to the female Alpha.
Elena smiled, fondling with her fingers. “How have you been, Felicia?” Elena asked before taking a seat at the sitting room sofa.
“I’ve been very good, Alpha Elena. So what brings you here?” The older woman inquired.
“It’s the king. He brought me here and it’s quite serious. It’s happening, everything that was written down is currently taking place.” Elena grimaced, looking away for a moment before turning to Grandma Felicia.
“Where is the half breed?”
“Oh, she is at the castle, Alpha Elena. Do you want to speak with her?” Grandma Felicia asked, surprised the female Alpha knew about their latest slave.
“Of course, I’ll love to speak with her later. So, you’ll have to keep a closer eye on his Highness. We can’t be too sure he won’t kill her. His dislike for the female species is driving in the kill force. His dislike might take over and he’ll end up harming her so you need to make sure she stays safe here.” Elena said.
“Yes of course, Alpha Elena. That’s the reason why I’m still here, I’ll do the best I can do. Of course she is going to obtain some physical damage that can’t be avoided. You know the king is naturally hot headed, he can also be quite stubborn but she is the opposite of him.
It pisses him off a lot. The moon goddess surely knows what she is doing by pairing the two together.” Grandma Felicia smiled, thinking for a moment before continuing.
“You know when I saw her at the company. When she told me her name, I wasn’t so sure, but then I made her see the king at a closer range, it all started on its own accord.
I wasn’t really even sure that the prophecy was going to come through. I am very glad it’s happening.” Elena smiled also, a pinch of joy setting off in her heart.
“You are a good friend, Alpha Elena. To believe in the king’s redemption is one thing, to hold onto it is another. He is really going to thank you so much after all this.” Grandma Felicia added.
“Thank me? The king? That won’t happen. Don’t even count on it, the king is too proud and self centered to thank anyone.” Elena scoffed, rolling her eyes.
Grandma Felicia chuckled softly.
“Alright then, tell her that I’m waiting for her at the garage. Tell her to meet me there now.” Elena instructed, standing to her feet, her aura bled of poise and power as she stepped towards the door.
“Alright, Alpha Elena. Do enjoy the rest of your day.”
“You too, Felicia.” She said before walking away, a small happy smile on her face.
************
“Wow! My new room is beautiful, Isaac. Were you the one who picked it?” Serena asked, looking around the bigger and more beautiful room.
There was a huge queen size bed at the center with a canopy above it. A closet room to the right, and huge sparkling white drapes hanging off from the ceiling, shielding the sunlight from the room.
“Nope. I think the king’s Beta, Adam did. It’s closer to his room so be careful of him. Well, until I get you out of here.” Isaac scoffed, not pleased with the room being so close to the Alpha’s.
“Yes.” Serena nodded absently, walking to the bed to sit on it. It was the softest bed ever and she almost moaned in delight.
There was a huge chandelier hanging over her head and she looked to the left, there was a bathroom door there. And a dressing table just before it.
She laid her back against the bed and this time couldn’t stop the moan from escaping her lips
“Do you like the room that much?” Isaac asked, looking around irritatedly before coming to sit beside her.
Serena nodded looking around excitedly.
“Maybe we should forget our plans of escaping here.” Isaac teased, eyeing her suspiciously.
“Of course not. We should, I can’t keep up with the king’s temper. He might really kill all of us, so we are going to prevent that from happening.” Serena said, turning to pin him with a glare.
Isaac sighed, resting his back against the bed, his eyes fixed on the white ceiling above him
“I can’t help but feel nervous. We are about to trick the King. What if it doesn’t work out well? Though I have confidence it will.” He said after a while, worry laced his voice.
Serena turned to him, she could feel the fear creeping up her spine too.
Yes. What if the king found out? What will he do? Since Isaac is gonna be coming to him after taking me out of the castle to ask him to let him go then he might sense that something is amiss with him.
I know the king is very smart. And he also reads minds. Yes! He hears people’s thoughts, he just pretends he doesn’t. Isaac would get bursted when he comes back to seek permission to stop working for him. The king will hear all his inner thoughts, and will know all he feels.
That is so bad. That is really bad. Once the king finds out that he has been tricked he is not going to take it lightly with Isaac. He might turn Isaac to his slave or at worst kill him.
No. No. That is so bad. I can’t allow that to happen to my brother. For my freedom, I won’t allow him to die. It seems like they all don’t know about his ability to hear people’s thoughts. We will all be busted and his friend, Kendrick might serve the same punishment as him.
What should I do? What should I do? I can’t allow my brother to get killed. I can’t allow the one person that cares too much for me to die because of me. I won’t be able to live with the guilt. It’s enough guilt that my mother died birthing me. Isaac can’t die either. He can’t die.
What should I really do? How should I go about this without putting Isaac and his friend in trouble. Even if I get caught, I want to serve my punishment alone.
I don’t want them getting punished with me. I just need to think of something, anything. Surely staying here is not an option for either Isaac or me.
Staying here will mean he’ll also have to spend the rest of his life here. I really need a good plan. I need a plan that won’t put them in trouble.
“Serena! Serena!” She heard Isaac’s voice break Serena out of her train of thought.
“Yes.” She blinked, turning to face him.
“What were you thinking about so deeply that you didn’t hear me call you the first time? What are you thinking of?” Isaac asked, sitting up beside her as he released her shoulders he had been shaking.
She couldn’t tell him. He had been so good to her but he might not agree to the plan she had in mind. He would risk it all for her. She needed to plan this and execute it all on her own.
“No… nothing.” She answered, not meeting his gaze when he turned worriedly to her.
“Nothing? Come on, S. You don’t need to lie to me, I’m on your side in everything. I don’t need you to keep secrets from me.” Isaac said.
“Yes, I’m not. I’m just thinking about the reason why Kate hasn’t called me since I became the king’s slave.” Serena lied through gritted teeth, avoiding her brother’s eyes.
But deep down it bothered her that her sister hadn’t called. But also she kept thinking about what Isaac said earlier in the cell. Maybe Kate was truly glad that she was a slave now.
“Is that your other half sister?” Isaac asked.
“Yes.”
“If she doesn’t care about you then you don’t need to worry about her. From what you told me she is a bïtch and I won’t fück her if I come across her.” Isaac huffed.
Serena burst out in laughter and slapped his chest to calm down.
“Come on, Isaac.” She said, covering her lips with her mouth.
“It’s the truth though. She is only a bitch and you don’t need to worry about her because you’ve got me now. And she is also a mere human, she will age and die before you know it while you’ll live much longer than her on earth.” Isaac said nonchalantly before resting back on the bed.
Serena watched him and smiled. She was always her best when her brother was around. She was happy and never felt down or worried about anything in the world. She rested beside him before engulfing him in a hug, crushing his inside.
“Woah, that was unexpected.” Isaac chuckled, hugging her back.
“Thank you for everything, Isaac. I don’t know how I could have survived staying here without you.”
“Come on, you deserve it, love.” Isaac mouthed before planting a kiss on her forehead.
He suddenly stopped moving, and Serena looked up at him. He looked like he was in some sort of trance but the way he focused was like he was listening to something.
Someone was speaking telepathically to him and Serena sighed.
“What is it?” Serena asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.
“There is a lady, Madam Elena is actually waiting for you at the lot. Why on earth does she wanna speak with you?” Isaac frowned standing up and dusting off his clothes as if to look prepared.
“Madam Elena?” Serena asked, frowning, the name sounded foreign to her.
“Yes, she is the vice president of his company and also let’s say the king’s longest friend. She is as strict and tough as him. I wonder what she wants with you.” Isaac said, looking through the window at the parking lot outside.
“In that case, I should really go see her now,” Serena said, standing up and heading for the door.
“Whatever it is, I’ll find out once I speak with her.” She said, hearing Isaac stand beside her.
“Wait, I’ll follow you. I don’t trust her, she doesn’t even know you.” He said as he pulled open the door.
They both left Serena’s new room and went out to the garage to seek out Madam Elena. All the while Serena’s heart thumped loudly in her chest.
She knew it was her before they talked. The woman was tall, beautiful and everything Serena was not. Her blonde hair sparkled under the bright sun and every part of her bled of power and elegance.
With Isaac behind her, she went closer to her. Her mouth flew open when Elena turned to face her.
“Madam Lucas!” she exclaimed. As the woman turned to her. Of course she wasn’t expecting the vice president from the office to be her!
“Hello there, Serena Williams.” Elena chuckled.
She is laughing. The strict woman was actually laughing with her. Isaac exchanged confused looks with her guards but said nothing.
How is this possible? She is the fierce and tough lady from Williams Zee fashion company.
How is she here? Serena thought. Confusion flashing across her face.
“Morning madam, Elena.” Isaac said, and the vice president turned to her.
“Morning.” Elena responded, confusion also flying across her features when she met his gaze.
Serena noticed the confused look on her face and quickly spoke, smiling proudly.
“He is my brother, madam. He followed me because he was afraid that I was in trouble with you.” She said sharply.
“Your brother?” Elena frowned.
“I thought you had only one sibling, a female who works at the king’s empire.”
“I thought so too but it happened that I have a lovely brother too, from my father’s side.” Serena corrected, folding her arms behind her.
“Okay. Understandable, so I wanna have a few minutes to chat with you over breakfast. You haven’t had breakfast yet right?” Elena inquired.
“No madam, I haven’t but..” She paused.
Madam Lucas wasn’t a friendly woman and suddenly she was being all smiley and close to her. It was unpredictable and it made her confused, even though she felt safe around the woman.
“But what?” Elena asked.
“But will the king allow me to follow you? I’m now his slave.” Her eyes downcast in shame
“I’m sure his Highness won’t mind. Get into the car.”
“Uhm, I’m sorry to interrupt you madam Elena but I’ll have to follow you guys. You know, to bring her back to the castle and ensure her safety along the way,” Issac chipped into their conversation.
Serena smiled softly, of course Isaac wasn’t going to be comfortable letting her go anywhere without him.
Elena paused, glancing between the siblings before groaning and rolling her eyes tiredly.
“Of course.”
“I’ll get the truck and follow you from behind then. Come here.” Isaac pulled his sister closer, giving space between her and Elena.
“Wait here let me get the keys. Don’t go with her, I don’t trust her.” He murmured into her ears before dashing out to get the car keys.
