“Good afternoon, ladies,” Vince greeted, being welcomed by James and Rosie’s excited squeals…
“Oh my gosh, V! Look, Rossie! Daddy V!”
“DADDY V!!!”
Lucas and Darien were soon yelling “Uncle V” along with the twins, adding to the group’s cheerful chaos.
“Bro, the children love you. You’re like Santa!” whispered Aaron to his Alpha.
“Ho, ho, ho,” chuckled V as they walked towards the happy swimmers.
Both guys got to the edge of the pool and greeted their respective mates with forehead kisses as the kids tried to grasp at them with their small wet fingers. They were only partially successful and were soon jubilantly splashing around in the pool again.
“What are you doing here? I thought you’d be busy,” Diwa said, as she climbed out of the water.
“I missed you too, pumpkin pie,” Aaron said, making her laugh.
“I mean, we thought you guys would be busy, so we didn’t invite you,” she countered with a shy smile while slightly blushing.
“We came to ask you out tonight,” V explained.
“Oh, where are we going?” Siel replied a little too readily.
“To a club. I hope you’d like to dance, beautiful. Wanna go?”
“Oh wow… I’d love that, but I can’t, V.”
“Why not?”
“Because I can’t take the babies to a club, of course.”
Vince was about to mention that the pack had a nursery when his sister eagerly piped in.
“Oh, don’t worry, I’d love to take care of them for a few hours,” Lena said with a bright smile.
“Really?!” V and Siel exclaimed in unison, both with surprised tones.
“Of course,” Lena replied, staring seriously at her brother. She then suddenly turned to Siel.
“When was the last time you had a night off? Without the kids, okay?”
Siel just stared back at her. It was obvious that the poor single mom couldn’t remember a time that she’d been out and about without her twins.
“Exactly. I know, believe me. Just drop the babies at my place, and we’ll have a sleepover. Since your twins know us, it’s best that they stay with us instead of the nursery where they aren’t familiar with anyone yet. And you have to admit, no matter how much you love your babies, you deserve some time off. ”
“Preach!” Di yelled as she laughed aloud. Everyone else eventually joined in, getting into her enthusiasm.
“Thank you, and that’s so nice of you, Lena… I have to admit that you’re right…”
“Of course, I am! Don’t worry, ok? All of them will love it, for sure!”
“Di, what about you? You think you will love it, too?” Aaron asked his mate, holding her close despite getting his business suit all wet with her moist swimsuit rubbing against him.
Don’t worry, Di, some time off will help us feel better, besides, paranoia is usually a problem that we have here. I’ll be extra alert, I promise, OK? Let’s just have some fun.
Yes, Opal, we truly deserve a little break.
“Why shouldn’t I when I’m going to be with people I love?” She said, putting her arms around his neck.
“And people who love you, of course,” her mate assured her as he kissed her passionately in front of everyone.
Meanwhile, someone on one of the balconies was listening to their conversation. She quickly started passing on her information via email to those who needed to know.

“According to our contact, she will be going out with the Beta tonight, along with Alpha and his mate.”
“Perfect! It’s a shame you don’t have any idea who your source is. So far, though, all his input has been very reliable. Hopefully, I can get to meet him someday so we can add him to our warriors.”
“Perhaps, since I haven’t even met him personally. I don’t even know why he’s helping us out, considering our actions are… questionable…”
“Only, for now, my brother. When we have earned our place in Silvercrest, you will see that I’ve been right all along.”

A few hours right after dinner, the gang of four adults showed up at Lena’s door with two exuberant kids in tow. Siel still packed her twins along with their big backpack with a change of clothes, pajamas, snacks, and even some toys that seemed enough for a week’s stay.
“Hello everybody!” Lena greeted, and as soon as the door opened, her own twins ran out, motioning Rosie and James to follow them inside. “You all have a good time now!”
Everyone answered joyfully and affirmatively.
After a twenty-minute ride in a limo – thanks to Antoine, the chauffeur – they arrived at a nice fancy building of at least 20 floors. On the ground floor, a long, eager line of partygoers stood, patiently waiting to be allowed inside the wide silver-hued doors of the club.
A tall, bulky man stood in front of one of the doors with the required chained barriers. As soon as he saw V approaching, he quickly removed the silver chain from one of its short metallic posts.
V offered his hand to him, “Good evening, Tristan.”
“Good afternoon, Alpha. A pleasure to see you here,” greeted the man with the Drax-sized body as he let Vince and Siel inside after the brief handshake.
“Brooo!!! Long time no see!” Aaron yelled while he bro-hugged Tristan. “Great to see you!”
“Hey, bro! Yeah, it’s been a while! Been a lot of women asking for you, by the way!”
“Well tell them all I’m no longer available, and that’s because I finally found my mate!” Aaron said with pride, placing a protective and loving arm around Di.
“Wow! Congratulations man! That’s great news!” Tristan exclaimed back. He then respectfully bowed as he looked at Diwa, smiling genuinely. “Very nice to meet you, Beta-Female.”
Diwa felt herself stiffen at the greeting… Beta-Female… I haven’t even thought of that. Does this mean I will have to take that position in the pack and finally stay at the Packhouse with the Beta? A, please don’t get any ideas… not tonight… please, no…
