“Where is the rest room?” I sit on a chair, and breathe out since Mike won’t stop following me around.
“What do you want to do in the rest room?” He asks. “You should not be walking here just freely.”
“If not for the fact that you saved the Alpha, you would have been in chains now.” He adds.
“Okay. Pardon me. Lead me to any toilet room then!” I slightly yell at him.
“Okay. I’ll wait for you ten inches away.” He says, and helps me up.
“Over there.” He points to a building. “After field two, you’ll get to see where vampires are being trained, screw that. Branch left and you’ll clearly see the encryption.” He explains with his palms.
“Okay, thank you.” I say, and without much Ado, I start to march towards the rest room. I’m a smart guy, I get it just in few minutes. I brush past the vampires who are being trained but I notice two different beings. The two beings are not vampires, seems they were bitten. As a clone, I can detect things more than real vampires or werewolves can. I stare at them for a long while, almost pointing at them but someone approaches.
“Hey, who are you? And what is wrong?” He suddenly asks, jerking me out of my reverie.
“Alpha Jude… Alpha Jude sent me on a mission.” I stutter, and start to move.
“Stop right there.” He says and expects me to stop but rather I take to my heels, get to the restroom, and I shut the door tight at once.
“Order all pack members to be on guard, Mike. There’s an intruder here.” He suddenly mind links Mike not knowing that I hear mind links just like normal hearing maybe because I’m the clone – I’m the mind link itself.
“No, not an intruder. Going to the restroom, right?” Mike replies in his mind link. I do not wait to hear his reply, I start to shift to mind link Ben so as to pick up the map. My eyes turn dark green and illuminate the rest room. I drag down the curtains to hinder it from reflecting outside.
“Hey Spark, you are needed.” My mouth goes bluntly sharp. Yes. Bluntly sharp and poof an object appears and disappears. It reappears and disappears, and in thirty seconds, it remain normal.
“What do you want me for?” Sparks asks.
“Help me mind link Ben. To take the map Jude left behind, please.” I go on my knees but it tells me not to.
“I’ll do just that. Let me go into you.” He says, and suddenly possesses me. This time, with a loud noise. I try to melt the noise down to stifles but I can’t. After Spark possesses me and I start to mind link Ben, I thought I’d see pack members gathered at the doorstep and knocking hard on the door or worse still, breaking in through their wolf fists. But no, I don’t see anyone. In California, few wolves or vampires have the ability of hearing voices or noise from a distant journey.
“Hey Ben, you good?” I say but I don’t get any response. I need violence.
“Hey Ben! You good?” I scream in the mind link and Spark shuts his one eye, waning in his energy.
“Yes, kind of. We are back at my abode.” He replies.
“Oh, great. Both of you, right?” I ask, chuckling Inwardly but Spark nudges me to go straight to the point.
“Yes. We are both here. You’re at the back of the bark tree?” He asks.
“No. At Jude’s pent house. I got a plan. Always mind link me, okay? And if I don’t pick up twice, don’t try to until after three hours. Alright?”
“Alrighty! Be safe.”
“I’m surprised. You didn’t even ask after the map. Did you get it already?” I ask in confusion and Spark starts to warn.
“We thought you took it along while rescuing Jude!!?” They both yell at me.
“No, I didn’t!” I yell in return.
“How do we…” He stutters, and Spark drops to the ground and wanes in the thin air. They thought I got the map, why should they? The Fuck.
I have noticed three things. I pointed out one of them to Ben – maybe now four. Ben needs the map to track down Sophia so as to get mated to her before the next five days. Jude also needs the map to track Sophia down so as to get mated to her – oh, I forgot, the pack members must have been ordered to pick up the map.
A thought, scary as it approaches, drops into my heart and my heart gets weighed down.
“Jude and Ben are fighting to get mated to Sophia so they will be a great Alpha and the Ruler of all packs in California and America but what if others like Robert and Maxwell has marked her already? Who knows her whereabouts?”
Before I can think of a response, Spark return with his feet thudding on the tiles.
“Welcome Back. It’s good to have you here. I hope…” I start to splutter, too confused to think of what to do.
“I’m here to help with the map.” He says.
“Oh, that’s cool. Mind linking Ben again?” I reply.
“No. Ben has left the arena. My power didn’t run out the other time…” He says. “… I deliberately stopped it to check where the map is at that moment.”
My hands go to my head and my lips curves into a round shape.
“Really?” Is all I can say.
“Other pack members are returning already. Mike has mind linked them not to forget the map. I guess you’ll have to go meet them…”
“Fight them.”
“Retrieve your map.” And he disappears.
“Spark! Help me! I gat nothing to do!” I yell, punching the walls hard until they start to separate and break into tiny molecules.
Then a knock is heard on the door. My face switch to the direction and all other parts of my body follow suit.
“Who is it?” I ask, marching towards the door.
“It’s Mike. You’re taking too long. I hope there’s nothing.” He says.
“Oh, there’s nothing.” I fake some chuckles. “I’ll be right there with you.”
“Well, do quick since the pack members are almost here with the map.” He adds.
“Oh! Where are they right now?” I ask.
“They will be here soon. Calm down.” He replies.
“I SAID WHERE ARE THEY!” I instruct in my paranormal being. Vampiric tone.
“They are where they are. Get the fuck out and meet us at his room.” He says. For someone to be able to act or do against my vampire-wolf-witch tone, that shows the person either has same power or more. He leaves the doorstep and the thud his feet make, recede.
SPARK drops to the ground with full force, and he stares at me.
“What… What is it?” I ask.
“Forget about retrieving the map. The pack members are here already.” He says and my heart leaps in its socket.
“So, what do I do?” I ask, in a teary tone. If Ben or Rose dies, then I’m dead.
“Make sure you, your real self and Ben are empowered with the witch or wizard power.”
“How?” I shudder.
“Through the undead.” He clips, and disappears.
“Undead.” I repeat, and jerk the door open. As I do, I bump into Mike and he guides me to Jude’s official room.
