Chapter 51: UNINVITED GUESTS

Book:Mated To A Vampire Published:2024-6-4

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I know who this is.” Ben rubs his eyes, and waves at Dylan. I remain quiet as I watch him asking who he is over and over again.
“Okay, since you won’t tell me who you are…” He finalizes but hiccups. “… then, let me have Sophia.” As soon as he said this, Dylan looks down at Sophia and then at him. Ben nods as he does, to affirm his suggestion. After few seconds of Dylan standing still and remaining mute, Ben tiptoes to lift Sophia off of the ground. As he moves with each steps, he looks up at Dylan and sighs. Suddenly, a shriek erupts like a volcano from behind and we both look back but Dylan and Sophia don’t move.
“Sophia” Ben calls her after finally getting to her. “Can I have you now?”
Sophia sighs, and looks up. I squint my eyes to be sure of what I’m seeing, and that helps me to confirm it. Sophia’s eyes are unbelievably red and her lips are pale. I use that medium of Ben checking up on Sophia to converse with Dylan. I wave at Dylan but my hand forms shadow and Ben looks back. I act as though I didn’t do anything but now, wink should help. I wink at Dylan and he smirks. My mind rejoices, at least he’s responded.
“Can you hear me?” I say in my mind, hoping Dylan would hear but no he doesn’t.
“Oops! Ben, we gotta go.” I speak up, and help Sophia up.
“Man, thank you for saving my mate!” Ben exclaims, and clasps his hands in appreciation. Then we start to move into the forest.
“Won’t you take him with us?” I ask Ben, and he stops in his tracks.
“Do you think we should?” He asks, and sighs.
“After all, he saved your mate. I hope you are aware that Jude is near here and he can claim your…” I shut my lips, and my eyeballs dart forwards and backwards in its sockets, I have mentioned Jude again.
“Well, he couldn’t have claimed her. He surely can’t.” He affirms, and clicks his tongue.
“Let’s take him along. Ben? Huh?” I pout my lips and he nods. I beckon to Dylan to come over to escape this dangerous area. He walks shabbily and soon we get to Ben’s abode.
“So, finally, Sophia, we are here.” Ben says, and Dylan stares at him straight into his eyes. The stares read all kinds of emotion in this life. So vampires do get scared too?
“Rose” Ben shuts his eyes and his lips shiver. “I’m not convenient about how this man is with us.”
“Ben” I shut my eyes too. “I’m not convenient about how you treat who saved your mate!” I rather bark at him but the man (Dylan) stops us.
“It is okay.” Dylan clips.
“What…” Ben stutters.
“Don’t say anything.” Dylan adds, and walks out.
“No, wait! Wait, man!” I try to drag him back in but poof, he’s gone.
“Come here, Rose! Don’t be a fool.” Ben chuckles as he tells me. “Do you know who he is?”
“And what if I don’t?” I retort but gently.
“He has a mark. He’s surely an Alpha of a pack, maybe a Brave Beta though.” Ben says.
“Yes, he’s got a mark and he’s a Beta.” I yell at him.
“Do you know what pack he is from?”
“Yes, I do.”
“What… What the… What’s the name?”
“Moon…” I say, and the door flings open.
“Alpha Ben!” The three intruder hail with their hands on their foreheads as a sign of respect.
“And what is that?” Ben asks. “Why would you barge into my house uninvited?”
“Do not vex, please.” They plead for mercy and then one of them starts to speak.
“We notice a change in the sign.” He clips.
“Andrew, why didn’t you mind link me?” Ben fumes. “Why all this embarrassment?”
“We are sorry sir but your mind link didn’t work.”
“What do you mean by that?” I ask instead.
“I mean, it is no longer working.” Another says.
“Ben? Can we talk?” I face him, and he nods.
“You can all leave now.” I tell them and drag Ben to a side.
“Thank you.” They chorus and jerk the door open. Ben suddenly leaves the corner I dragged him to, and he shifts to his vampire. With his horns, he hit them and they land on the ground with a loud thud.
“Ben!” I yell at him but he only gets more furious. He tears their flesh apart, and blood oozes out of all painful opening in their body. I try to give my vampire the control but Cate appears instead. A wolf can’t fight a vampire alone, chapter 23 verse 12 of the diaries of vampires.
With his claws, he gouges out the eyes of the three men, and dumps them inside their torn flesh. His sharp teeth go straight to the claws and he breaks it and they break bit by bit till they became powder and ashes. Ben staggers to his feet and looks at me. His claws are filled with blood, his mouth and jaw, his horns and his feet with all the hair that filled his skin. All stained with blood. I watch the three men and sob.
“But what did they do?” I think in my mind, and place my left hand on my chin, waiting for Ben to shift back to his human form again. With much more loud growl, he shrieks, yells and cries out as his vampire departs from him and now we have naked Ben. Though a torn boxer is strapped to his waist, we can still call him naked since what needs to be covered is not covered.
“Ben, why did you do that?” I ask him, questioningly.
“No qualms. Screw that.” He snaps, and walks into the room again. Noticing he’s naked and right in front of Sophia, his so-called mate, he rushes inside one of the rooms and sighs in embarrassment.
“Did you like that? I hope it’s not oversize or undersize.” I wink at Sophia and she nods.
“Talk to me, Sophia. Will that fit into yours?”
“How?” She replies, and Ben comes out of the room.
“So, Ben, your mate asked why you killed the three men.” I lie to him and he sighs.
“She can’t ask. I know she didn’t.” He replies, but I frown at him.
“She did, for real. She’s amazed that her mate can kill three other superhumans with just shifting.”
“Humans, not superhumans.” He corrects.
“Oh, so they were humans?” I ask him. “Why did you kill them? Can we know why?”
“I just felt like.” He shrugs his shoulders.
“You just felt like?” Sophia speaks up and I smirk at Ben.
“Do not come to the house of a vampire uninvited.” He clarifies. “If you do, you’re signing a death contract.”
“Oh, wow!” I exclaim. “But this men have only come to warn you about something.”
“Why didn’t they mind link me instead?”
“The last time I checked, you said they are humans and not superhumans.” Sophia retorts, and I clap my palms together.
“Humans can also mind link us.”
“Us? You mean the three of us?”
“Yeah.”
“How?”
“Let’s start with the first chapter in the diary. You’ll get to know how.” Ben replies, and flips the sheet in the diary.
