“Please, Jude. Don’t do this to me.” I plead with him, kneeling in front of him.
He squats to level up with my position, and he glares at me. He shuts his eyes, and opens it again.
“I loved you, Isabella.” He says as I sob.
“Why did you go on with Dylan?” He rants on. “Even if five hundred Werewolves mark you, I, as a complete Vampire, can take away the mark.” He says. “Do you know that?” I nod, and he smirks.
“Now, will you get mated to me?” He asks, raising his brows.
“Getting mated to a Vampire?” I retort, and he grins.
“Oh no! You are not ready.” He replies, smirking. “You’re not interested.”
He stands to his feet and he shuts the door, rolling the keys. He’s locked the door, what is he up to?
He comes near me, and pushes me on the bed. He joins me on the bed and cuddles me. I jerk away his hands but he overpowers me. He loosens the buttons on his shirt, and unbuckles his belt as the trousers drop on the bed. He comes nearer, and draws down my final undies.
Gunshot.
The door opens at once and I see Sophia with a Vamp-wolf and Dylan. I see Greg too, Dylan’s Beta but I can’t see Karl. I use the bedsheet to cover up my half nakedness as Jude drops unconsciously on the ground.
“Mum, you okay?” Sophia comes running after noticing the fall of Jude.
“Yes, dear. I am.” I nod repeatedly as others come to me too.
“Did he touch you?” Dylan says, as he pats the parts a man would touch.
“No. Not at all.” I say, and they stare at Jude’s naked body. The body starts to mould into a different body, and I point at him.
“See.” The Vamp-wolf and Greg looks at him first, then Dylan and Sophia. His backbones start to crunch and snap.
“He’s shifting!” I exclaim. Sophia stands up at once as she opens the wardrobe and picks few clothes. She gives it to me as she guides me to wear them in another room. I do, and we join others who were waiting for us at the doorstep leading to our sitting room.
I see only Dylan and Greg. Greg seems so impatient as he cares a lot about the Vamp-wolf. We move to meet then, and soon, we run away. While panting as we run, I ask Greg: “Where is the Vamp-wolf?” I ask him.
“She will catch up with us, ma’am!” He bows his head as we run.
“I hope she’s safe.” I breathe out.
“Yes, she is. Thanks for the concern.” I reply as we take a downward route leading to the thick wilderness.
“Do you know her?” Sophia asks Greg, then me.
“No I don’t.” I reply. Sophia points at Greg.
“Yes, I do know her.” He replies.
“How?” I and Sophia question him. Dylan sighs, and says at once: “If not for Sophia and you, we would have gotten farther than this.”
I shake my head, and we continue to halt, our feet not reaching the ground. Immediately, a feet joins us, and I look back.
Lo, it is the Vampire. She faces here and there, growling. She immediately wrecks her back and shifts back into a human. We all notice that but who cares? We keep running as though we are being pursued. Yes actually, we’re. The Vampire soon joins us, and clutch onto Greg. Sophia sighs as she does but keeps running. We all do. I’m actually getting out of breath. We halt as we reach a dark spot and rivers in front of us. Yes, rivers. We disperse ourselves as we behold the nook and crannies of where we landed into. Greg doesn’t drop the Vamp-wolf as he inspects.
“Come over here.” An husky voice calls. Sophia hears that first, and tells me.
“Dylan.” I call out to him in the slurriest tone. He comes at once, and we keep quiet.
“Come over here.” I can hear chucklings in the direction. Immediately, a mermaid rises up out of the Ocean. It isn’t river actually. I brush my face, and I can see others in a relaxed mood. I only hallucinated. Damn.
“Over here.” This one isn’t an hallucination. Who is calling us to come?
“Come.” The voice draws near. “Over here!”
