Harvey listened to Logan Brown and went back to his room, only to be restless and finally unable to resist immediately calling Zach Stone and Sophia Mckinley for help!
Inside the master bedroom …..
Logan Brown nudged open a doorway and Elena Bush was lying on the bed, her tiny body curled up there.
Hearing a movement behind her, Elena Bush immediately wiped her face and scrambled up to look in the direction of the door.
The little woman’s eyes were red and she looked as if she had just cried.
Logan Brown’s heart ached slightly, “Why are you still angry with a child, isn’t that what you used to say about me? Why are you being serious today?”
He took a big step forward and silently swept her up into his arms.
Elena Bush puffed out her face and said sullenly, “I’m not angry with him, I’m angry with myself!”
“Hmm?”
“Harvey is still young and doesn’t know anything and is at an age where he needs to learn, but we’ve hardly taught him anything either, and when he couldn’t find anyone today I even wondered what he would do if he did lose it then.”
He was never taught to remember his mother’s phone number or his home address ……
The thought of not having someone to turn to even if Harvey got out of danger made her fearful and self-conscious.
Logan Brown then vaguely understood what was going on and patted her back soothingly, “That’s you thinking too much, Harvey’s a lot smarter than you think, he’d know what to do even if you didn’t say anything.”
“But ……”
“Well.”
Logan Brown interrupted her ramblings just in time, “You were angry with him and he saw it all. He’s probably thinking of ways to get you to forgive him.”
“Actually he didn’t do anything wrong, I was just thinking about it too much ……”
Elena Bush leaned into his arms, quickly sorting out all her emotions before she withdrew from his embrace.
She looked at him, “Did I just really scare the little one?”
“You scared even me, let alone him.”
“I didn’t mean to ……”
“I know.”
The man lowered his head and dropped a soft kiss on her forehead, “I know what’s going through your mind, so no one would blame you.”
“Really?” Elena Bush looked doubtful, always feeling as if the words were coming out of her mouth as if they were a lie.
Logan Brown raised an eyebrow and glanced at her, “False.”
“……”
Elena Bush laughed in exasperation and slapped him right across the face in frustration, “I’m serious with you, don’t lie to me!”
“Hmm.”
Logan Brown nodded, “Actually what’s the harm in doing that, at least it’ll give the little guy a good chance to reflect on what he’s done wrong.”
“Why?”
“You’ve never been angry with him before, and after this one, you’ve learned your lesson, so naturally you won’t dare next time.”
If she had gone up and hugged him at that moment, full of worry, the little one would have known that Elena Bush was worried about him and knew that she wouldn’t blame him ……
Elena Bush thought carefully before she understood the meaning of his words.
Then it was clear, and a nice smile slowly lifted up on her little face, “According to you, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with that ……”
More importantly, they can use this as an opportunity to make the little one learn a good lesson!
“So don’t be too pessimistic, instead of being angry with you at the moment, I’m afraid the little one is even thinking of ways to coax you.”
Elena Bush raised a light smile under her eyes, “Hmm.”
The little woman said with a quick wry glint in her eyes, “Logan Brown, would you be interested in coming along to peek at Harvey’s reaction?”
Elena Bush’s heart couldn’t help but thrill at the thought of how anxious the little man looked because of her, a look of delight all over her little face.
Logan Brown stared at her for a moment before finally nodding indulgently, “Yes.”
The door to Harvey’s bedroom was not completely closed and through the crack, Harvey’s every movement inside the house fell into the eyes of the pair.
Logan Brown leaned against the wall watching helplessly at the small woman’s look of interest and just shook his head and went with her.
Inside, Harvey was on the phone with Zach Stone, and in a couple of sentences he was able to tell her the whole story.
When he was done, the little man cried, “Godfather, now Mommy doesn’t even care about me anymore, what do you think I should do!”
Zach Stone was in a quandary, “Have you misunderstood? I’ve never seen Elena Bush lose her temper before.”
“But mommy is really angry.”
The little man puffed out his face as if he was upset by his questioning.
Zach Stone couldn’t resist after a moment’s thought, “Well then, you go and see if your mummy is still angry now.”
Elena Bush’s heart thudded and she immediately glanced up subconsciously at the man standing upright.
The latter patted her on the shoulder and smoothed her down, as if he had already guessed Harvey’s answer.
As expected Harvey immediately shook his head, “No, no, no, Mummy is still angry and would be even angrier if she knew I was sneaking a peek at her and not reflecting properly in her room!”
“So you’re saying that Elena Bush is really angry?”
“Yes!”
The little one nodded immediately, “She hasn’t looked at me since she got back, you know I’m her sweetheart, she won’t even look at me and she’s cold-faced, what do you think she is if she’s not angry?”
The words ‘sweetheart’ spilled out of Harvey’s mouth so smoothly that Elena Bush almost burst out laughing.
What kind of person calls themselves that?
Zach Stone’s scalp tingled as he thought about it for a moment and sighed, “This Elena Bush is really angry at the moment.”
“Godfather, whether it’s real or not, what do you think I should do?”
Zach Stone tipped his chin and thought carefully for a moment, then said, “I’ll go over there now, I’m there, she can’t be mad at me!”
“Is that really okay?” Harvey was a little worried, “Will Mummy think more of it and think I asked you to come?”
“Who knows if I don’t say anything! Besides, I don’t know how to give you any ideas without going to see the situation.”
Zach Stone spoke cryptically and Harvey listened in, nodding his head in unison.
Seeing this, Elena Bush got up and immediately grabbed Logan Brown and went back inside to wait peacefully for Harvey to come over and admit his mistake.
Logan Brown laughed at the little woman’s energetic manner, “Are you really trying to scare him?”
“Just like you said, how are we going to get him to remember otherwise?” Elena Bush smiled at him, then reached out and wrapped her arms around him, “I’m telling you, you have to cooperate with me, no tearing me down!”
