Kent pulled the door open and the little one was standing just outside the door, Harvey took a cautious glance at the bed, only to see Blanche looking over curiously as well, their eyes colliding with each other.
Inexplicably, the little one was not shy, but Blanche was.
Harvey withdrew his gaze without a moment’s hesitation, and his eyes fell on Kent’s with a look of contempt.
The look was as if it was saying how he was so useless.
Kent immediately picked him up and carried him silently out the door, “What are you doing here so early in the morning?”
“I came to see if you were with aunt! I didn’t expect the result ……”
“……”
Kent’s mouth twitched and he pinched his nose, “Who did you hear that from?”
“Godfather!”
Harvey didn’t even think twice about selling Zach Stone out straight away again.
Kent gave him a suspicious look, “Are you sure he taught you that?”
Harvey hesitated and smiled immediately curtly, “Hey, actually Mum asked me to come and see how you guys were getting on.”
“Since when did Elena Bush get so attached to me?” Kent was a little taken aback.
Harvey immediately said righteously, “Mummy always cares about you, you just don’t know it.”
Kent’s heart warmed and he carried the little one outside, saying as he went, “Today is an exception, but next time don’t knock on the door in such a hurry!”
“Why?”
“You’ll understand when you’re older.”
Right now he and Blanche hadn’t taken the final step, but who knew if it was going to happen just a few days after that, or a few months after that ……
So if he were to keep being so reckless, not only would he have heart palpitations, but even Blanche would be scared.
Instead of dwelling on the fact that he was a child this time, Harvey said softly, “Uncle, will you marry aunt?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Kent suddenly froze and responded before he knew what he meant by the question.
“Because I love her.” The light under the man’s eyes was so extraordinarily clear that Harvey could barely take his eyes off of it.
He looked at him for a moment before he withdrew his gaze and looked down, picking at his fingers and wondering, “Uncle, what is love?”
“You’re so young, you wouldn’t understand if you told me!”
“Why don’t I understand, I’m just …… not sure yet and I don’t know what to do about it.”
Harvey had a rare dilemma?
Kent was incredibly surprised, “Harvey, did you …… have a crush on someone in mind at some point?”
Harvey nodded and then shook his head with a confused look, “I don’t know.”
Kent curiously hooked his lips and couldn’t help but pursue the question, “So tell me about the person you’re not sure about.”
“I like Monica, but I don’t know if I love her.”
The little one had a confused look on his face and all his reactions fell into Kent’s eyes making him more and more curious, “So what do you feel inside when you think of her?”
“Happy!”
He was almost overjoyed! As if life was complete just by thinking of her.
“And?”
“There’s ……”
The little man suddenly paused in his words, unsure how he should continue.
Kent nodded, “I’m sure it’s not just happiness that comes back to me.”
Even though he knew he was only a child, Kent couldn’t help but feel that he would be able to grasp the feelings or emotions involved.
Harvey shrugged his head for a moment before speaking slowly, “Besides being happy, there was actually sadness …… because although Godfather liked me, he was always afraid that I would abduct Monica, so he was extra strict with me and always watched out for me.”
Every time he thought of it, he felt bad, his heart felt like it was blocked by a stone.
Kent laughed and rubbed the top of his head, “Harvey, that’s what I like. I don’t know much about relationships between men and women, but I do understand that a lot of the time, if you take a moment and ask yourself, you’ll understand.”
Harvey suddenly fell silent, and only after half a second did he lower his voice to the man’s ear and say in a voice that only he could hear, “Uncle, don’t tell Daddy or Mummy what I’ve told you!”
“Why?”
“Because …… Mummy says it’s not good to fall in love early!”
And Daddy, if he knew he had a sweetheart he would surely keep pep-talking himself into trying desperately to win Monica’s affection and subsequently trying to dominate Mummy!
Harvey had weighed up the pros and cons of everything in a flash, and was smart as a whip.
Kent’s eyes twitched and he gave the little brat in front of him a complicated look.
Harvey was keenly aware of what was going on and quickly looked up and grinned at him.
“Little brat.” Kent sighed softly before setting him down, “Stay and play by yourself for a while, I’m going to go and wash up first, then aunt and uncle will take you to the amusement park later!”
Harvey immediately lifted his spirits, a burst of joy, then couldn’t help but look stiffened on his face immediately afterwards, “What about daddy and mummy?”
“Do you want to go with them?”
Harvey hesitated for a moment, he wanted to take Mummy with him, but once he thought of how Daddy would surely follow he was upset again.
Seeing the look on her face, Kent shook his head helplessly and pinched his cheeks, “Why are you so jealous of your daddy all the time?”
“Because I like Mummy!”
“Then you don’t like daddy?”
“Not really. ……”
He was just used to going against Logan Brown, but if he was offered a different daddy or something, he would have just shaken his head.
Kent clapped his hands together and said matter-of-factly, “So that’s the end of it, isn’t it? Besides, this is a separate reward from your uncle, not just a daddy and a mommy!”
“Really?”
Harvey looked dubious.
Kent immediately nodded his head.
Harvey hesitated for a moment, then only looked up nonchalantly and nodded reluctantly, “Okay then.”
“What do you mean okay, so reluctantly?”
“No no!”
The little one shook his head repeatedly, smiled cheekily at him, and then urged him, “Then hurry up and wash me up, and then make sure you take me to the amusement park! I want to ride the roller coaster!”
Kent sucked in a cold breath, “You can play?”
“Yes, there’s a roller coaster for kids.”
Harvey nodded and Kent half-expected it, then nodded after all.
When Harvey saw that he still hadn’t moved, he was a little impatient and urged again, “Come on, let’s go! Or it will be too late!”
