Blanche slapped his cheek to sober him up, “I was just trying to find out why you wanted to see her today, whether it was by chance or by appointment.”

Blanche was depressed, but Kent was deliberately trying to sell it like it was nothing, leaving her irritated, but helpless.

Blanche pouted.
The man took her hand in his and grabbed it against his lips and dropped a kiss, “I’ve proven over time that I won’t fall in love with her, and that you’re becoming more and more important to me.”

Besides, she was just afraid that Harvey would come in and she would be embarrassed if she was not fully clothed.
