The woman’s complaining voice spat out at once and Kent visibly froze for a moment before bursting out laughing the next second, “Hahahaha ……”
He stared at Blanche’s ugly face and snickered at the birth, “Blanche, so you can get angry too, huh?”
She was so peaceful that he couldn’t help but tease her and see more expressions on her face, and today he really couldn’t help but be surprised.
Blanche gave him a blank look, her heart pounding, and the next moment she simply lay back down on the bed and lifted the covers to cover herself, “Sir Lewis, I’m going to rest, please go out and let me recuperate!”
Kent nodded, but couldn’t say a word to the contrary, so he retreated.
As the night wore on, Kent finished packing up and got ready for work before going to the lounge to call her out, but to his surprise, Blanche had already come out.
Blanche tightened her grip and spoke slowly, “Sir Lewis, it’s closing time, so if there’s nothing else, I’ll be going home.”
“You haven’t taken your medication yet!” Kent said, only then remembering the medicine he had forgotten to put aside.
Blanche quickly took it with a slight nod and a forced smile, “Yes, thank you sir Lewis.”
Kent nodded as he picked up the car keys and then looked over at her with a wink, “Let’s go.”
“Go?” Blanche was momentarily confused, “Where to? Is there something else going on in the evening?”
“No, take you to dinner.” He said, the man already walking up to her.
Blanche blinked and subconsciously took a few steps back and waved her hand, “That’s better not to bother Mister Lewis, I’ll finish taking care of dinner at home myself.”
“Do it yourself?” Kent frowned and then relaxed, “I wouldn’t mind eating your cooking at your house.”
“……”
Blanche barely knew how to communicate with the man in front of her, she stroked her forehead and tried desperately to suppress the emotion in her mind, “Sir Lewis, what do you mean by that?”
“To make up for my apology.” Kent said matter-of-factly, “I’ve been quite a nuisance to you for a while so I feel embarrassed and would like to treat you to a meal, but it would be better if you made it yourself or if I cooked ……”
“Stop!”
Blanche stopped her sentence just in time, “Sir Lewis, I don’t know exactly what you misunderstood, but I really don’t need you to apologize to me or make up for anything.”
“How would that work, I can’t afford to have a guilty conscience.”
“But have you thought about Miss Burne in doing so ?” Blanche reminded her in a stern voice, “Sir Lewis, you should know better than anyone else how Miss Burne feels about you, and how she will know whatever you do, aren’t you afraid she will worry ……”
“What am I afraid of if I do what is right?” Because of the mention of Abbie, Kent’s face was a little ugly, “Besides, I’m not so scared by a woman!”
What’s more, Abbie wasn’t so free to do anything with him!
Blanche looked at him and blinked her eyes, in response she couldn’t help but wonder, did he and Abbie not seem to have as good a relationship as she thought?
Blanche was still hesitating when Kent pushed her straight out the door.
When she realized that she had somehow gotten into his car, Blanche said with a jolt, “Sir Lewis, you can just take me home.”
“So you were planning to cook at your house?”
“No no no, that’s not what I meant, I was thinking I’d just go home by myself, as for dinner, let’s work it out separately ……”
“Why?” Kent took a moment to look at her, not seeming to understand her words.
Blanche said patiently, “I personally prefer quiet, plus it’s too messy at home and I’d have a hard time if Mr Lewis went suddenly!”
“So that’s it ……” He looked puzzled, then couldn’t help but add, “So you mean you’re afraid there’s something for me to see?”
“…… No.”
Blanche just felt her head hurt even more, even more so when she didn’t know how to explain to him that the man in front of her was as dead in the head as he was in the head, and no matter what he said, he just didn’t listen.
Kent swept her a glance, but saw her face difficult look, then the corner of the lips in the corner she can not see slowly hooked up a wry smile, and then a hammer said, “Well, this matter no matter what it is so agreed!”
“Sir Lewis ……”
“Well, you can rest for a while if you’re tired, just leave the rest to me, you don’t have to worry.”
The man’s words blocked all the words she wanted to say no to, and in the end she couldn’t convince him, so she just sighed and leaned against the car window and squinted her eyes.
Kent stopped at the supermarket near her house and bought all the food for her dinner in no time at all, so that she didn’t even realize how fast the man in front of her was moving.
As Kent got into the car, he said, “I don’t suppose you’re picky about anything?”
Blanche ran out of things to say to stop him from being full of enthusiasm and nodded meekly, “Yeah, I don’t think so.”
“That’s fine then.” Kent said, starting the car again and driving towards her flat.
Blanche still had a headache, Kent was always saying one thing and doing another, if he was really afraid of her picky eating, he should have asked before he bought the food.
As if the latter hadn’t noticed anything, he continued to mutter, “I don’t think you’ll be making soup if you live by yourself, so I’ll make you a chicken soup tonight, and two more dishes should be enough for two people.”
“Mister Lewis,” Blanche couldn’t help but be a little curious at his words, even though she didn’t want to ask, “Do you cook?”
“Yes.”
Kent smiled, after all these years, if he didn’t know how to cook he would have starved to death.
Blanche looked at the slightly feminine side of his face, she couldn’t really imagine what the man in front of her looked like when he cooked, let alone when he was at home.
No, no, no!
Blanche gave her head a quick shake to stop herself from thinking about that!
When Kent finished parking the car, he saw her sitting in the car with a pensive look on her face, so he reached out and waved his hand in front of her face, “Blanche?”
“I’m here!” Blanche quickly snapped back to her senses, coldly bumping into a pair of teasing eyes, and froze in her movements once again.
