Author’s Note: As 3rd Person’s POV, I will address the FL as Cindy but call her Clover when the other characters speak to her.
Third Person
“You could have told me that you’re back,” the woman said as soon as she arrived.
‘Sh** Clover will definitely say that she was right.’ Alder thought.
“What are you doing here, and how many times do I need to tell you that you are not allowed to enter my office without asking my permission?” He asked angrily.
“Come on, I missed you, and this is how you talked to me the moment we saw each other? You would have been here two days ago, and I should have been mad at you for coming back late.” The woman replied. She was smiling sweetly as though they had a relationship.
“Your Highness, we will leave now and work on what you asked,” Charles said, grinning. He knew Alder would be having difficulty talking to the woman.
“Stay here and don’t leave. We are not done talking yet,” Alder replied.
Charles creased his forehead. Usually, Alder would let him leave, so he didn’t understand why he didn’t want that this time. He looked at Lance curiously.
“Just stay. He didn’t want to be alone with any female now.” He replied and went back to his seat.
“Why are you two not leaving?” The woman asked.
“You better leave now, Mitch,” Alder said, which made her look at him.
“No!” She exclaimed. I miss you, and I want us to be alone together.” She added as she put her arms around his neck, smiling sweetly.
Alder started to lose his patience and was about to push her away, but Mitch was fast at catching his mouth and kissing him. He didn’t know that the woman would do that and couldn’t react immediately. He pushed him when he suddenly smelled something. When he looked at the door, he found Clover leaning on the door frame, smirking.
He pushed Mitch immediately as Charles and Lance followed his gaze. And just like Alder, they were both shocked as well.
“Go on, why did you stop? Did I disturb you?” Cindy asked as she walked in and took a chair to sit on. She had her elbows on the table with her hands on her chin.
“It’s not what you think,” Alder said,
“Do you know what the funny thing is?” She asked and waited for them to answer. “Men always have the same answer when they get caught,” she added, leaning back. Charles was looking at her in amusement. He never saw anyone talk to them like her. Well, maybe because she was their queen. But he thought that it wasn’t the case either.
“Your Highness speaks the truth,” Lance went on to support Alder’s claim.
“Wow, even best friends say the same thing all the time.” she replied, “Next, you will be telling me that he didn’t let you leave because he didn’t want to be alone with the woman,” she added, and they all had their mouths opened, which made her laugh. “Fantastic, just fantastic.”
“Just who the hell are you?” Mitch asked angrily. She didn’t like the idea that they were talking in front of her as if she was not there. “Alder, who is that b****?”
“Shut up, Mitch!” Alder yelled, looking at Cindy, who was sitting pretty, smirking at him.
“I am the bitch that will be bitching you, bitch.” she replied, which made Charles laugh really loud, which made Alder and Lance glare at him,
“What? I like her already. I mean, she’s perfect. Very queen material.” Charles said in amazement.
“What do you mean queen material? I am going to be your queen!” Mitch shouted. “Alder, tell that gamma of yours who am I to you,” she said, looking at Alder, whose eyes were still locked on Cindy.
“I wouldn’t be doing that if I were you, Mitch,” Lance told her instead.
“You shut the fu** up; you’re so arrogant that you think you can command me with everything. You have to wait until I become your queen, and I will make sure to remove you from your position.” Mitch replied and Cindy laughed. “What are you laughing at, b****?” the woman asked her angrily.
“You, b****. I’m laughing at you, b****.” Cindy replied, laughing. Then she turned severe before she looked at Alder,
“Leave now, or I am going to put you in the dungeon,” he said, not leaving her eyes. Mitch thought he was referring to Cindy, so she laughed loudly, making Lance and Charles smirk at her.
“Mitch,” Alder added and looked at her. He seems serious that, scares her,
“Alder,” she said,
“Leave now!!!” Alder shouted. She knew she needed to follow him immediately as she felt his anger. Lance and Charles also decided to leave, so they stood up and were ready to go, but Cindy stopped them.
“Oh, you can stay here,” she said. Mitch was surprised that she was not bothered by Alder’s anger at all. She looked at her intently and noticed something on her neck. She sniffed the air, and her eyes widened before she looked at Alder,
“Yes, Mitch. She’s my mate and your queen,” he told her, and she shook her head in disbelief. She glared at Cindy before she totally got out of the King’s Office. “Now, what do you want, and how did you find me here?”
“What, are you expecting that I will be needing a tour guide just to find you? Well, I’m sorry, Your Highness, to disappoint you and disturb you in your merry moment,” she replied.
“Can’t you just answer the fu***** questions? Do you have to be sarcastic?”
“Oh, what can I do? I am a very curious person.”
“You’re a werewolf CLOVER,” he replied, stressing her name as the two other than they were watching them bickering at each other. They enjoyed how they talked back at each other and how their king was trying to extend his patience.
“Whatever,” she said, “Anyway, I need my phone.”
“Why?”
“Because I am hungry, and I am going to eat it,” she replied. Lance and Charles couldn’t hold it anymore and burst out laughing.
“Do you still want to live?” Alder asked them, and they both kept quiet. “Just answer the da** question, Clover.”
“For once, can you please use your brain?” she replied, and the two on the sideline laughed again.
“You two get out!” Alder yelled,
“You two stay there,” Cindy said, looking at him.
“Yeah, we wanted to stay,” Charles said, which earned him a glare from his King.
“Can I get my phone or a laptop now? You have the internet here, right?” she asked, and Alder motioned Lance to get it.
“Thank you very much,” she replied after he put the laptop in front of her. She went to a site that none of the three knew about, which directed her to a new site that enabled her to video call. It was not the usual video calling app, and the three who were watching her were all confused.
“Hi, Cinds.” they hear a man’s voice on the other line.
“Are you done with what I asked you?”
“I already told you that I would only give you what you wanted if you let me see you, right?” the man said, and Cindy understood him. He knew that she was dead, so he was cautious.
“You accept the video invitation, idiot!” she exclaimed,
“Sorry, my bad.” he replied, “What the—, is that you? You’re good at choosing faces, and you look beautiful.”
“Shut up and show me what you got.” Alder was so curious that he let his face be shown on the camera and looked at the man his mate was talking to. “Wow, you already got another boyfriend?”
“Did I already tell you to shut up?”
“Why didn’t you change your attitude as well?” the man said, pouting his lips.
“I guess her highness is really feisty for him to say that,” Charles told Lance, which made Cindy glare at him. He smiled and showed her his forefinger and middle finger as a peace sign.
“Send it to me now, Lincoln.”
“Fine! Fine! You don’t have to threaten me,” the man said and typed into his keyboard. “There, send it already,” he said, then his face sank, “Cindy, I’m sorry, but I saw what had happened and, believe it or not, I wanted to kill them myself. But I know that they deserve more than death, right?”
“You are starting to use your brain now, I guess.”
“I always use it. I even told you not to trust those two, and yet you give them your heart!” Lincoln exclaimed. “You are mean, tough, and aloof with everyone. But with those two, you easily open up to them. I feel guilty that I was not with you when they got you and Uncle; he was the kindest person I know.” he said sadly. “Make them pay Cindy; don’t let them get away with what they did to Uncle Dennis,” he added,
“You don’t need to remind me of that.” she replied, “See you when I see you, Linc.”
“Yes, keep me posted, Cinds.” and the call ended. Cindy’s face was now hardened as she started downloading the files Lincoln had sent her. Alder, Lance, and Charles watch her. For Alder, it was the first time that he was speechless. Looking at what Cindy looked like, he felt anger in her heart.
The video in Cindy’s apartment starts to play, and the three men’s eyes widen. They also looked at her, watching the whole thing when she was in the video. “Do you have a printer connected to this laptop?” she asked,
“Yes, Your Highness. You can print it, and I am going to get it.” Lance replied. Then they heard the printer had started to do its job. Lance went and got the copies and handed them to Alder, who also looked at the files.
When everything was done, Alder handed her the printed copies and said, “You know you needed the original for this.”
“I am using my brain, Alder.”
“I was just reminding you because your friend didn’t tell you where you could get it.”
“He told me everything,” she replied, “When are we going to L. A.?”
“Next week,” Alder replied, “I need to do something here first, so be patient.”
“That’s something I don’t have.”
“I can see that,” he replied, and she glared at him.
“Keep a copy on the flash drive, and I will need that. Are you using this laptop here?” she asked,
“Yes, for the entire kingdom’s matters.”
“Get me a new one that I can use while trying to be patient,” she replied and got up. The three men were left, looking at each other, and Alder knew that he had to explain to them what was happening. They all sat down and told his beta and gamma about Cindy.
