Edward Ford looked at the empty ward without the familiar man in front of him, and his face grew darker and darker, and his hate-filled eyes fell on Logan Brown questioningly, “What’s going on!”
“Ask me?” Logan Brown’s hands clenched into fists at his sides, “You should be asking yourself , What kind of people did you put by Elena’s side?
“What did you say?”
“Auntie Julie! The woman you put by Elena’s side, the one who was by her side day and night, she was Jacqueline! The Jacqueline who hates to drink Elena’s blood and tear her bones apart! What the hell do you think of people to let her ……”
“Shut up!”
Edward Ford waved his hand wide, “Don’t think you can lie to me with your lies, I guessed you had a plan when the people I planted inside the hotel said you burst out of nowhere and were coming in the direction of the hospital!”
Logan Brown glared at him, gritting his teeth, “You don’t believe me?”
“It’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s that you’re so suspicious that I have to suspect you!”
“Ridiculous!” Logan Brown stepped forward in anger and grabbed him by the collar, “Edward Ford, I haven’t been a straight shooter all my life, but at least I’ve never lied about Elena!”
He said, his hands tightening, “Elena has been taken by Jacqueline, arrange for your men to get her back to me immediately!”
“Ridiculous ……” Edward Ford shook off his hand, “Do you think anyone will believe you if you’re still acting?”
“Damn it!”
Logan Brown cursed lowly, seeing his disbelief coldly he nodded evenly, “Fine, you can not believe it, but if anything happens to Elena I will not let you off the hook!”
“You’re already here, and you want to just walk away?” Edward Ford grinned at him, the dark glint in the bottom of his eyes impossible to ignore.
Logan Brown looked to him with a flash of grim sting, “You want to stop me?”
“You think so?” The latter asked instead of answering.
Logan Brown pulled at the corners of his mouth and swept the two men he had brought with him, not giving them a second thought, “Don’t even think about it!”
“Then you can try.”
Edward Ford had already taken a step back when the two burly men suddenly appeared in his line of sight and threw a punch at him while he was still preparing.
Logan Brown gritted his teeth and dodged sideways.
Aftermath swept the duo’s movements a bend and a direct, surprisingly fast movement.
The hard fist landed hard on the small of one of the men’s back, and the man struck almost felt his internal organs misalign as he fell to the ground in a wail of pain.
Logan Brown glanced at Edward Ford, his voice deep as ice, “No one can stop me, but Edward Ford, you remember this, if anything happens to Elena because of your delay, I won’t let you off the hook!”
“Wait!”
The man’s fist had landed in front of his man’s eyes and he stopped it in time, turning his face to look aside.
Edward Ford stepped forward, his face stony, “What you said, was it all true?”
“You think I’d lie to you?”
“In that case ……” Edward Ford wordlessly reached into his pocket and quickly pulled out his taser and aimed it at the back of his head without him noticing the opening ……
Logan Brown gave a jolt and raised his hand to intercept his movement.
Edward Ford was no fool and immediately gave a look to two of his men behind him, who immediately stepped forward and grabbed his hands, Edward Ford jerked his hands back and then pressed the taser down on him again.
The high voltage electricity coursed through his body, causing Logan Brown to lose his strength for a moment and stars to appear in front of his eyes.
“Get him!” Edward Ford grunted, “Take it back and I’ll ask him where he’s got Elena!”
“Wait!”
A loud voice interrupted several people before they could pull down.
Roger Scott stepped forward and pushed aside the two men who had Logan Brown pinned down, his face stony, “Edward Ford, now that Elena has disappeared into thin air, all you can think about is looking for clues in Logan Brown’s body?”
Edward Ford gave Logan Brown a sidelong glance, “Even if he’s not the one hiding someone, he must know something.”
Roger Scott didn’t bother to listen to him, just pulled Logan Brown up and whispered, “Is everything all right?”
“Yeah.” The man shook his head to keep himself awake.
Edward Ford couldn’t help but snicker, “Logan Brown, that’s a lot of will power for you to not pass out immediately.”
If it had been anyone else, he would have fainted.
Logan Brown grinned, “I only took that as a compliment.”
“It’s a compliment.” Edward Ford responded graciously .
Heh ……
Roger Scott held his somewhat unsteady form and lowered his voice, “We’ll go first.”
Logan Brown nodded, but Edward Ford, as if he had guessed their intentions, immediately blocked the doorway to the ward, “You want to leave? It’s not that easy.”
At that, the man broke free of Roger Scott’s grip, moved his muscles and gritted his teeth, “Then you can try and see if I get out of here or if you get the news of being sent to hospital tomorrow?”
He was not so careless this time, having suffered a loss once before.
Edward Ford’s eyes flashed and he felt something was wrong.
Roger Scott also leapt to his feet, “Edward, you and I have been friends for so many years, you should know that I was a black belt back in the day, and although I haven’t practiced in years, I’m more than capable of taking on these two and you, me and Roger.”

Edward Ford grinded his teeth in anger, only hating himself for bringing so few men with him, but it was already late at night and too late to send that many more.
A moment’s thought made him take a half step back to give up half his body, “Fine, I’ll let you go, but tomorrow I want to see my Elena back in the ward unharmed!”
“Delusional!”
Logan Brown snapped, not backing down.

“What did you say!?” Edward Ford’s eyes widened.
While he was still amazed, Logan Brown had already left, followed by Roger Scott, and they both went to the nursery.
Edward Ford’s heart thumped and he immediately chased after him, but when he caught up, he saw a nurse standing in front of Logan Brown, crying and apologising.
“Yes, I’m sorry, I just walked away for a moment, but when I came back the baby was gone, I …… I really didn’t mean to ……”
