Tyler asked, “Know what?”
Luna pursed her lips, “You know what I mean.”
Tyler blinked, saying, “I really don’t know what you’re asking me.”
He yawned, “I’m tired.”
He hugged Luna tightly, “Let’s go to sleep!”
Luna was uneasy.
Her emotions were in turmoil.
She firmly said, “If I still had hope for the person from before, I wouldn’t have married you. I hope you can believe me, I see you as my support, you know?”
Tyler kissed her head, “I understand, I misspoke today, made you uncomfortable, I’ll be more careful next time.”
Luna shook her head, “It’s not because of that.”
After much internal deliberation, she finally spoke, “The person we met at the hotel the first day we arrived, he’s my ex-boyfriend.”
Tyler said, “I know.”
Luna wasn’t surprised.
“I should’ve realized earlier, you would have noticed.” She lowered her eyes, “I didn’t want to upset you by not telling you…”
“Don’t talk nonsense.” Tyler held her hand, “When I chose you, didn’t I know you had a past? I don’t care, that’s why I asked you to marry me.”
Luna closed her eyes.
“If only this child didn’t exist, we could have lived happily together.”
Tyler frowned, “What are you saying? I wanted this child to stay, he’s a life. Besides, with this child, we can still live a good life.”
He sighed, “I know you might feel guilty towards me, but I truly don’t mind.”
Luna hoarsely said, “Thank you.”
Tyler hugged her, “No more polite words between a husband and wife, from now on, you know I’m the only one left in my family. With you, I feel like I have a home again. I should thank you.”
Luna said, “Let’s stop thanking each other.”
Tyler said, “Let’s go to sleep.”
“Okay.” Luna nestled in his arms.
Both closed their eyes.
Their thoughts couldn’t dissipate.
Yet, they both pretended to fall asleep.
Morning came.
Luna woke up first.
She gazed at the man’s face so close to her.
He may not be extremely handsome.
But, he was very patient, caring, and protective towards her.
She reached out to touch his face.
Tyler opened his eyes, the grogginess of just waking up in his dark eyes, his husky voice, “You’re awake?”
Luna withdrew her hand, softly murmuring, “Yes.”
Tyler got up, asking, “Hungry? I’ll go buy breakfast for you, what do you want to eat?”
When at home, Tyler would wake up early every day to buy breakfast.
He wasn’t a good cook.
Afraid she wouldn’t like his cooking, he tirelessly bought various snacks every day.
Upon hearing from his colleagues that the roasted cold noodles in Qiaozhen were delicious, he ran forty to fifty kilometers to buy them for her.
Although not something rare or expensive.
But he was willing to do it.
Precious was the fact that he was willing to think of her, willing to do these things for her.
Luna shook her head, “Not hungry yet.”
Tyler got dressed, “Today, let’s go see your friend and inquire about how things are going.”
Luna nodded, “Okay, it’s still early now, I’ll call her in a bit.”
Tyler said, “Alright.”
Luna also got up.
The doorbell rang.
Tyler went to open the door.
It wasn’t usually this early for cleaning.
He opened the door, it was breakfast being delivered.
Tyler let them in.
Luna finished getting ready and came out, seeing the breakfast being brought in, her eyes dimmed.
