Freya hurriedly grabbed Orion’s arm and whispered softly, “Don’t do anything reckless, don’t say nonsense. Luna is living peacefully now, I don’t want her tranquil life to be disrupted because of you.”
Orion looked down at her, his voice low, “Freya, you didn’t lie to me, she’s married.”
Freya tightened her grip on his arm, reminding him with some force, “Consider it my plea.”
Orion glanced at her and then chuckled lightly, his voice transitioning from low to high, dripping with sarcasm.
Mocking himself, perhaps.
To think he was so delusional!
“Don’t worry, I won’t disturb her happiness.” His voice gradually calmed down. “Let go of me.”
Freya still hesitated, not daring to release him easily.
“Brother, why don’t you trust me?” Orion laughed.
Freya slowly released her grip.
Orion’s gaze lifted and landed on Luna’s face.
She remained motionless.
Her body as heavy as lead, burdened with a thousand pounds!
Tyler sensed her stiffness and asked softly, “Are you uncomfortable?”
Luna quickly lowered her head, avoiding Orion’s gaze. “No, it’s just suddenly a bit cold.”
“I told you to wear more clothes when you came, but you didn’t listen.” With that, he adjusted Luna’s clothes and took off his own coat, draping it over her shoulders.
His warmth still lingering in the coat.
Lost in her thoughts, Luna murmured softly, “You gave it to me, aren’t you cold?”
“I’m a man, I don’t get cold,” Tyler replied.
Orion couldn’t bear to watch.
Were they showing affection in front of him?
“Luna?” he intentionally raised his voice.
Drawing all eyes towards them.
Freya nudged him and whispered, “What are you doing?”
“I and Luna are old acquaintances. We have to greet each other.” He put his hands in his pockets, taking a step towards Luna.
Stopping a step away from her, he stood still. “You still recognize me, right?”
Luna softly replied, “Yes,” with a subtle hoarseness that was hard to notice.
Orion clenched his fist in his pocket, his face indifferent. “Married? And yet, you didn’t send me a wedding invitation? How thoughtless.”
Luna kept her eyes lowered, silent.
Tyler asked, “Are you also Luna’s friend?”
Orion nodded and pointed at Freya. “Freya and I were very good friends with her before. We knew each other in college, we were even in the same year. Didn’t Luna mention me to you?”
Tyler shook his head. “She only mentioned Freya to me, saying she was her best friend.”
Orion added, “I was also her best friend. I used to pursue her, but unfortunately, she didn’t fancy me…”
“Alright, I have something to do that requires Luna’s help.” Freya interrupted Orion, glaring at him with a warning in her eyes. “Aren’t you busy with something? Why don’t you leave now?”
Orion didn’t intend to make things worse.
Smirking, he said, “Alright, you guys carry on.”
Then he turned to Tyler and said, “You’re a man, make sure to replenish the alcohol at the wedding.”
Tyler replied, “When the opportunity arises, I’ll treat you.”
“Alright.” Freya pushed Orion a little.
Orion glanced back at Freya. “Look at how scared you are.”
Freya was genuinely angry. “Are you never going to stop?”
Orion didn’t continue with his sarcastic remarks, instead he looked deeply at Luna before stepping out.
Freya smiled and said, “The room is ready, let’s go in.”
Once inside the room, Freya pretended to have a private conversation with Luna and led her into the bedroom.
Tyler glanced at the bedroom door but didn’t say anything.
From the moment Orion appeared, his professional sensitivity told him that there was more to Orion and Luna’s relationship in the past.
But he didn’t show anything.
In the following moments, if Luna didn’t bring it up, he wouldn’t inquire.
He would pretend not to know anything.
In the bedroom!
