Elijah sighed, “…”
He was helpless yet amused, “Why won’t you take any losses?”
Freya smiled, “Learned it from you. Haven’t you heard Orion say I’m becoming more like you now?”
“Okay.” Elijah tugged at her skirt, “I’m jealous.”
Only then did Freya sit down.
Elijah raised his hand, his clean and full fingertips gently brushing her stray hair, his voice low and serious, “Freya, for these few days, don’t go out.”
Freya turned to look at him, “Are you afraid of the dean’s son, harming me? But if he accuses me again, I can’t not show up. The most important thing now is to find out the cause of the dean’s death.”
“I’ll find a coroner…”
“I’ve already found Luna,” Freya interrupted him.
Elijah calmly looked at her for a few seconds, “She agreed?”
Freya nodded, “Yes.”
Elijah pondered for a moment, “Okay, I’ll follow your lead and investigate the cause of death first.”
And then consider a plan.
He originally wanted to use money to silence the dean’s son, to keep him from speaking.
But since Freya had a plan.
Then let’s follow her lead first.
Suddenly Freya stood up, “I need to tidy up the guest room, Luna is coming, she needs a room to stay.”
Elijah said, “Let Linda do it.”
Freya shook her head, “Linda still needs to prepare dinner, I’ll do it. And since you rarely came back early today, go to the room and spend time with your son.”
Elijah made a soft sound of agreement.
…
Freya received a call from Luna.
“I’ll be there in about twenty minutes.”
Freya replied, “I’m leaving now.”
She had been preparing all along, and left immediately upon receiving the call, asking Eagle to drive her to the high-speed rail station.
She arrived at the location, waiting at the exit.
In just a few minutes, she saw Luna walking out from the exit.
She was wearing a floral dress, with a light-colored coat over it.
Unable to hide the bulging belly.
Freya’s gaze flickered deeply.
Luna saw her and greeted with a smile, “Freya.”
Freya walked forward to greet her, “Tired from the journey?”
Luna said, “Not too much.”
Freya didn’t know how to thank her, so she gave her a big hug.
After a moment Luna released her and said, “Let me introduce you to someone.”
Freya’s gaze followed her hand’s direction.
There was a man standing behind Luna.
Carrying a suitcase.
He smiled at Freya.
“He’s my husband, Tyler,” Luna introduced.
Freya reached out her hand, “Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you.”
Tyler shook her hand.
They walked out of the station, Eagle helped with the luggage.
Tyler sat in front.
Freya and Luna sat in the back chatting.
“It’s been a long time since we last met, you’ve changed a lot.” Freya reached out to touch her belly, “How many months now?”
“Eight months,” Luna smiled.
She got along well with Tyler.
Tyler was a good person, very tolerant and caring towards her!
He gave her a sense of security.
Luna had accepted him now.
They hadn’t consummated their marriage yet, because Luna was already far into her pregnancy.
After she gave birth, she and Tyler would probably become a real couple.
Freya could sense that Luna was peaceful now.
She must be living well.
Freya was genuinely happy for Luna!
“If I had known you were pregnant, I wouldn’t have asked you to come.” Freya didn’t want Luna to help now, how could she perform an autopsy with a big belly?
It’s too ominous!
She hadn’t expected Luna to get pregnant so quickly.
Calculating the time, she should have been pregnant before marrying Tyler.
Was it because of the pregnancy that they got married?
Freya quietly whispered in Luna’s ear, “You must really like him, otherwise you wouldn’t have gotten pregnant so soon.”
