Chapter 639 Don’t Run into Trouble

Book:You Are My Mr Right Published:2024-6-4

“What do you think this is?” Elowen handed her something she had received today.
Freya took it and opened it, looking calm, “It’s just a delivery.”
Actually, it was a court summons.
She pretended to be calm, not wanting Elowen to worry.
Walking upstairs with it, halfway through she stopped and turned to Elowen, “Mom.”
“Yes?” Elowen responded.
“It’s nothing, I just wanted to thank you. Without you taking care of my two children, how could I be this free?” Freya said.
Elowen gave her a look, “Why be polite with me?”
Freya bit her lip, “Mom, when I finish my work, I want to resign.”
Elowen hoped she would keep working.
But she also didn’t want to interfere too much.
“You think about it.” Elowen said.
Freya nodded.
She went upstairs to her room.
Sitting on the couch, she looked at the books and the court summons beside her.
Lost in thought.
For the first time, she questioned her choices.
To say there were no ripples in her heart would be a lie.
She wanted to resolve this matter quickly.
She didn’t want her family and Elijah to worry about her.
After much thinking, she decided to meet with the former dean’s son and talk to him.
She got up and went downstairs, Elowen saw her and asked, “You just got back and you’re going out?”
Freya said, “Yes, I have something to do.”
Elowen nodded.
As Freya walked to the door, Elowen stopped her, “Freya, whatever decision you make, Mom will support you.”
With family around, there’s always a backup.
Freya smiled, “I know.”
“Go.” Elowen said, then went back to being busy.
Freya went out and got in the car.
She called Neo on her phone for the dean’s son’s contact information.
Neo was surprised, “What are you doing? You’re looking for him now? He’s looking for you! You better avoid him, don’t run into trouble!”
Freya said, “Give me the contact, I know what I’m doing. I won’t clash with him…”
“It’s not about whether you clash with him or not, it’s whether he’s willing to let you go!” Neo continued to persuade, “It’s better for you to stay away from him.”
Already feeling upset because of this, Freya’s emotions gradually became irritated by Neo’s hesitations, “Just give it to me, less talk!”
Neo rarely saw Freya get angry, so he was stunned!
Realizing that, he didn’t say anything more this time, and just sent the contact to her phone.
Freya knew Neo meant well, so she explained, “I’ll avoid him. Avoiding the problem won’t solve it. If he sues me, I must see him.”
Neo asked, “Do you need me to accompany you? I’m afraid he might act impulsively towards you.”
Freya said, “No need.”
She had Eagle by her side.
“Okay then.” Neo said.
The call ended, and Freya immediately looked at the contact information.
She dialed the dean’s son’s number.
The call was answered quickly.
“Hello?”
The voice on the other end sounded tired.
Probably because of the dean’s situation.
Freya spoke, “I’m Freya, I want to meet with you.”
There was a noticeable pause on the other end, seeming surprised, followed by a sarcastic tone, “Now you want to talk? Why didn’t you do it earlier? I’m telling you, I won’t meet you, whatever it is, tell the judge.”
With that, the call was abruptly ended.
Freya held the phone, looking at the disconnected call, she took a deep breath!
She dialed again.
After a while, it connected, and the tone on the other end was clearly irritable, “What are you doing? Didn’t I say it? Go tell the judge, I won’t meet with you!”
A strong attitude!
