Eagle paused for a moment, “Anti-investigation skills, good marksmanship, I am pretty sharp…”
“Enough.” Freya interrupted him, “I understand.”
Eagle calmly asked, “Are you not satisfied with my work abilities?”
Freya quickly explained, “No, I was just asking.”
“Oh.” Eagle visibly relaxed.
After some thought, Freya continued, “Do you know any hackers? Or are there people in your line of work who have such talents?”
“Do you have a need for that?” Eagle inquired.
Freya replied, “Yes.”
“I can help you, we do have people with those skills in our team.” Eagle said.
Freya was delighted, “Really? Then thank you in advance.”
“Madam, you’re too kind. In fact, as long as you have a need, you can always give me orders.” Eagle respectfully stated.
Freya didn’t like to command others in a superior tone, she believed in equality among people.
Freya briefed Eagle on the basic information of Ono Pharmaceutical, “I want you to gather not their business information, but some personal details, some photos. I think they shouldn’t be heavily encrypted and should be easy to find.”
After all, it wasn’t any trade secret.
“Alright, I understand. Give me a day, I will have someone find what you’re looking for as soon as possible.” Eagle said.
Freya acknowledged with a nod.
As they spoke, the car arrived at her residence and Freya got out of the car.
As soon as she entered, Kai rushed into her arms, clinging to her legs.
Looking up with his big eyes flickering, “Mom.”
His soft voice melted her heart.
Freya bent down to pick him up, kissing his cheek, “Missed mommy, didn’t you?”
Kai nodded, “And where’s dad?”
“Dad has something to do. He might be back later.” Freya replied.
Kai looked a bit disappointed, “Oh.”
Freya carried him to his little brother’s room, asking him along the way, “Is grandma helping to take care of your little brother?”
“Yes.” Kai pouted, complaining, “The little brother always cries, he’s a crybaby.”
Elowen, overhearing Kai’s words, remarked, “You used to cry a lot when you were little.”
Kai denied, “I’m not a crybaby, the little brother is.”
Elowen, with a smile, replied, “Alright, he’s a crybaby then.”
Freya ruffled her son’s head, “My son is a little man now.”
Kai felt proud of himself, tilting his head with a look of arrogance.
Entering the room, Freya put Kai down and checked on the peacefully sleeping little baby.
Kai extended a finger, poking the baby’s cheek, “It would have been nice if he were a little sister.”
Freya, puzzled, asked her son, “Isn’t your little brother good enough?”
Kai tilted his head, “I prefer a little sister.”
Freya, however, felt that the little baby was special.
She saw it as a blessing from above.
In the twins, she lost one, but with the little baby, she felt like that child had returned.
“Your brother is also cute and needs your protection.” Freya tenderly told Kai.
Feeling needed, Kai asked, “I protect my brother?”
Freya affirmed, “Yes, your brother is so small, doesn’t speak or walk, he needs his big brother to protect him.”
Kai grinned, showing his row of tiny white teeth.
…
The group led by the man with a scarred face couldn’t contain themselves after seeing the news.
“They have already arrested someone, are we safe now?”
“They are fools to have arrested the wrong person.”
“Fools indeed, their idiocy ensures our safety.”
“In that case, can we go out now?”
They discussed among themselves.
The scarred man said, “Didn’t our masked employer ask us to wait for his message? If we go out without his permission and something goes wrong, what then?”
“Boss, when did you become so cautious? Besides, we are already safe now that they have arrested someone. We have been hiding here for so long, almost going crazy.”
“Exactly.”
People agreed, feeling that they were safe now and no longer needed to hide.
The tall, thin man with the scar thought for a moment, “Let’s still be cautious, go out for a bit of fresh air, and come back as soon as possible.”
“Alright.”
Excited at the prospect of going out, they exclaimed, “Let’s go to the bar and have some fun.”
