Elijah tugged at the corner of his lips, “Why? Why ask like that?”
Freya let go of him, sitting up straight, with a serious expression as she guessed, “You definitely have nothing good to say.”
Elijah was both angry and amused.
What did she think of him?
Why did he have nothing good to say?
“Don’t defame me.”
Freya snorted, “Okay, then tell me, how am I a good wife?”
Elijah earnestly replied, “Four words sum it up, a virtuous wife and loving mother.”
Freya stared at him, “Why do I feel a hint of sarcasm in that?”
“Forget it.” She didn’t pursue further, “I’ll trust you for now.”
Back home.
Linda took care of the household chores, Elowen looked after the children.
They worked together.
Freya felt that she had done too little for her family as a wife, so she took the initiative to take on the kitchen duties.
Occasionally, she should cook for her family too!
During dinner, Kai tried the steamed eggs Freya made, “Mom’s doesn’t taste as good as Grandma’s.”
Freya took a bite and indeed, it was a bit overcooked.
She put the dish in front of Elijah, “You try.”
He raised his gaze, staring at his wife, wondering if she cared for him or saw him as a trash can.
From the looks of it, the latter seemed more fitting.

To make time.
Freya filled her schedule with work for the days before her leave.
Trying to get as much work done as possible.
So as not to accumulate too much.
They had to leave on Thursday for the Friday banquet.
Sitting on the plane, Freya leaned on him, “When we come back, let’s visit Country M, I want to see how Sacha is doing.”
Elijah softly responded, “Hmm.”
Xander was there to pick them up.
“Mr. Silverton, Mrs. Silverton.” Even though Xander was in Country F, he kept up with the domestic affairs through Evan.
So he was up to date on everything.
“The car is outside.” Xander said.
Elijah nodded slightly, “We don’t have much time to spare here, did you handle the things I asked you to?”
Xander replied, “You can rest assured, everything is taken care of.”
“Good.”
As they approached the car outside the airport, Xander opened the door, Elijah escorted Freya to get in first.
Freya was initially a bit drowsy, but now she was wide awake.
She opened the window.
The outside air rushed in.
Her mind cleared up too.
“Are we staying in a hotel?” she asked.
Sometimes Elijah didn’t stay in hotels when he came over.
“I have a house here, do you want to see it?” He didn’t know what Freya had in mind, nor did he indicate not staying in a hotel.
Freya eagerly replied, “Sure.”
Elijah briefly explained, “The house is definitely bigger than our place in Country Z, I had it designed by a professional company.”
Freya quite admired Elijah’s taste.
It shouldn’t be lacking.
Thinking about it, she felt a bit excited.
The exotic scenery outside the window was truly breathtaking, living up to its title as the romantic city, the local atmosphere had a unique charm.
After about forty minutes, the car stopped.
Freya got out of the car.
Looking ahead, there was a large garden, estimated to be at least 2000 square meters, as there was even a golf practice course set up in the garden, one had to walk quite a distance ahead.
“The car usually parks at the side entrance.”
This makes it easier to come and go.
But to show Freya the full view, the car was parked at the main entrance.
This way, the entire estate, actually a manor, can be seen.
As Freya walked and observed, she said, “It seems to have a rustic feel yet exudes a modern touch.”
“I acquired this at an auction, underwent a major renovation, and now it looks like this. The castle used to cover 5000 square meters, but over time, the surrounding land was taken over, leaving only this.”
Elijah was quite pleased with the place.
In front was a circular four-tiered fountain pool.
Each tier resembled a lotus leaf, water cascaded down from each layer, falling into the bottom pool, creating splashes of water.
The exterior of the entire castle was in the Italian Renaissance style, with stone cladding in a calming cream-white color, carefully designed wide and short steps.
Freya thought Elijah was quite meticulous in his design.
This layout was surely considered with the children in mind.
To prevent accidents due to high steps.
“Let’s go inside and take a look.”
Elijah embraced her.
