“Does Adam like you?” Lila stared at Freya, asking.
Freya furrowed her brow, “You’re thinking too much…”
“I’m not thinking too much. He came to Z country to escape marriage. I checked all the women he had contact with, and you’re the only one.” Lila approached Freya, her main goal not really about Adam being injured.
The real purpose was to figure out Freya’s relationship with Adam!
Freya’s eye twitched. If she didn’t explain this clearly, there might be misunderstandings.
“I didn’t know at first why he returned to the country because of avoiding marriage. Him and I were only neighbors before, so we knew each other. After he emigrated, we never saw each other again, and there was no contact in between. You can investigate this. I met him not because he sought me out, but because I needed to undergo cosmetic surgery, and he happened to be the one performing it, so we met a few times.”
Lila indeed found no evidence of Adam contacting her before.
“So, did you hit him?” She asked again.
Freya answered, “Because he’s really annoying.”
“Just because of that?” Lila found this hard to believe.
“Yes, that’s it. Adam and I aren’t even friends, so please don’t worry about our relationship. I’m already married, and the man who came with me is my husband.”
“That man is your husband?” Lila was surprised.
Now she felt much more at ease.
She laughed, “You hit him good. Let’s see if he runs away.”
Freya said, “Can you leave now?”
“Okay.” Lila turned around and took a few steps before stopping. “You won’t see my fiancé again in the future, right?”
“I won’t. You take care of him, don’t let him run around. If he still refuses to marry you properly, cripple him, put him in a wheelchair, then he won’t dare to run.” Freya jokingly and seriously gave her a suggestion.
She really wanted Adam to marry quickly, of course, for self-interest as well.
One is to avoid Adam lingering around her.
Secondly, because of what Ronan and Adam did to her, it was a thorn in her heart.
She would always resent Ronan and Adam!
Adam probably ran away from marriage because he didn’t like his fiancée. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have eloped.
Living with someone you don’t like must be torturous, right?
Lila’s eyes twitched.
Freya was so ruthless.
It looks like, she really has no relationship with Adam!
“Isn’t that a bit cruel?” She had never thought that such an extreme method could be used. “I definitely wouldn’t do that, but I’ll keep an eye on him. When he’s better, I’ll take him back to Country M and get married.”
After Lila left, Freya asked Eagle, “How did she get in?”
She knew Eagle’s capabilities.
If he didn’t allow it, Lila wouldn’t have been able to enter.
Eagle truthfully answered, “Mr. Silverton let her in.”
“You’re sure?” Freya couldn’t understand for a moment.
Eagle confirmed, “Yes.”
Why did Elijah let Lila in?
Lila looked tough at the door.
If Elijah let her in, wasn’t he afraid she would harm herself?
What was Elijah thinking?
“Miss Stone.” The doctor found her.
Freya couldn’t understand, so she stopped thinking about it. “Eagle, you can go out now.”
“Okay.”
Freya walked towards the doctor.
The doctor said, “I think we can try this…”

Luna and Tyler finished breakfast.
He said, “I’ll take you back.”
Luna felt embarrassed, “Where I live isn’t far from the base. I can walk back; you haven’t slept all night, better go back early.”
“Alright, take care of yourself then.”
Tyler left in his car.
Luna stood by the roadside, the morning air still fresh.
She took a deep breath.
After a night of busyness, she did feel sleepy now.
She walked along the roadside.
