“No,” Freya said, seeing Kai laugh so happily. She was also delighted. Leaning against Elijah’s arm, she pinched Kai’s soft and cute face and said, “I want to eat your cotton candy.”
Kai handed it to her. Freya took a bite, and the sticky sugar got on the corners of her mouth. She tried wiping it with a tissue, but it only made it worse with the stuck paper.
She thought to herself, “I shouldn’t have eaten it. Now my mouth is all sticky.”
“Come here,” Elijah said, pouring some mineral water on a cloth to wipe away the sticky sugar from her mouth. With just water, it easily wiped away the sticky residue. He lowered his gaze, looking serious.
Freya looked at his handsome face and felt a slight flutter in her heart. She had become a bit vain and conscious of appearances. She felt that standing beside a man like him, being cared for by him, would surely make others envious. Because she noticed that many girls were casting glances their way.
She smiled and moved closer to him, as if telling others that this man was hers.
Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of their wait. They could finally go inside.
The small train had seats for three people in each row. Luckily, they could sit together.
The small train imitated a steam train, making clattering sounds along the tracks. Kai excitedly leaned on the railing.
Elijah held him, patting his back, “Don’t stick your head out.”
But Kai didn’t listen. He took another bite of cotton candy, his mouth covered in stickiness, and continued leaning over.
Elijah picked him up and brought him inside the train, wiping his mouth clean.
Freya picked up another cotton candy and stuffed it into Elijah’s mouth, saying, “You still haven’t gotten any on your mouth.”
Elijah was taken aback for a moment, then looked at Freya. Because he hadn’t opened his mouth, the white cotton candy stuck to his lips, resembling a beard.
It looked quite funny.
Freya couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Elijah opened his mouth and ate the cotton candy, asking, “Is it that funny?”
Freya nodded vigorously.
Suddenly, Elijah grabbed her head and kissed her on the lips with precision!
Freya was shocked.
This was a public place.
In an instant, she blushed.
She wanted to push him away, but Elijah withdrew his body as if nothing had happened.
The amusement park at night was especially beautiful with its lights.
And there were children’s performances.
By the time they finished playing, it was already 11 o’clock.
Kai was exhausted and fell asleep.
Freya held him in her arms.
He slept deeply and smelled sweet.
Elijah started the car and asked, “Do you want to eat something?”
Freya was also a bit hungry.
She saw a street vendor selling grilled skewers by the roadside and pointed, saying, “Let’s eat that.”
Elijah looked over and frowned slightly.
He seemed a bit disgusted.
“You haven’t tried it, have you? Give it a taste, it’s delicious,” Freya said. “I really want to eat it.”
Elijah was still hesitating.
Finally, he parked the car to the side and took the initiative to carry Kai over.
“Let’s go!” Said he.
Freya smiled, “Isn’t your life boring? You need to experience more to have fun.”
At the food stall, Freya ordered lotus root, squid, green chili, and cauliflower skewers, among others.
She knew that most of the meat wasn’t fresh, so she ordered mostly vegetarian options.
Freya asked him to sit down.
There was smoke here.
So, she gave Kai to Eagle, who held him in the car. He was stiff and didn’t dare to move. He could easily handle the rough stuff like fighting but he wasn’t used to this gentle job.
The skewers were ready, and Freya picked up a lotus root skewer and handed it to Elijah’s lips, saying, “Try it.”
Elijah looked at her.
Freya nodded at him and said, “Trust me.”
Elijah took a bite of the skewer.
He didn’t really like it and said, “You have it.”
Freya said, “Or should we eat something else?”
She couldn’t just eat in front of Elijah.
“It’s fine, you eat.”
Just then, Elijah’s phone rang.
He glanced at it and saw Evan calling.
He stood up, “I’ll take this call.”
Freya replied, “Okay.”
“Evan.”
He walked to the side of the road and answered the call.
Evan’s urgent voice came through.
