Chapter 561 Good Luck to You!

Nobody showed up at the meeting room on time.
Freya wasn’t surprised at all.
If they had obediently and unquestioningly gone to the meeting room, that would have been strange.
Suddenly, the office door swung open. Neo Miller came in panting, “It’s done.” He had managed to finish it just in time.
Freya said, “Thank you for your hard work. Take a rest for now. I’ll let you know when to send it to the meeting room.”
Neo Miller nodded, “Okay. By the way… ”
As he was about to leave, he turned back and asked, “When will you forgive me? I really don’t want to be your assistant anymore. I don’t mind working hard and enduring any hardships if it’s work-related, but everything you ask me to do is your personal matter.”
Freya put down the files in her hand, “Don’t worry, your time will come.”
“And when will that be?” Neo Miller pressed.
Freya glanced at the clock on the wall, “The meeting is about to start. Take a break.”
“A meeting?” Neo Miller said coldly, “When I passed by the meeting room, there wasn’t a single person inside. They don’t listen to you at all. What meeting are you going to have? Are you going to have a meeting with yourself?”
“You talk too much, you know that?” Freya’s face tightened.
Neo Miller shrugged, “I’m just stating the facts. If you weren’t so unlikeable, people wouldn’t say anything…”
“That’s enough,” Freya grew impatient.
Neo Miller glanced at her, “Good luck to you!”
With that, he closed the door.
Freya pressed her throbbing temple.
None of them were easy to deal with.
She straightened her wrinkled clothes from sitting for too long and headed towards the meeting room, standing tall.
There was no one inside.
She entered first.
It was three-thirty.
Everyone started coming in. They were half an hour late. None of them were in a meeting-ready state. They resisted her with silence and carelessness.
Freya didn’t rush to say anything either. She sat down like them, “It’s about time for everyone to be hungry, right? I’ve prepared afternoon tea.”
She sent a message to Neo Miller to bring it in.
Neo Miller followed Freya’s instructions and distributed food and drinks to everyone.
It took him the whole day to arrange this.
Because each person had different preferences.
Different drinks too.
He bought them specifically according to each person’s taste.
Sometimes Neo Miller had to go far to get them.
He worked like a delivery guy, running around the city all day, even harder than a takeout delivery guy.
Everyone looked at the food in front of them, not daring to say a word.
There was a feeling of being controlled.
“I took the time to understand your preferences. I wonder, are you satisfied with these?” Freya asked.
No one spoke.
They exchanged glances, seemingly wondering just how much she knew about them.
Did she really investigate what they liked to eat and drink?
“Isn’t this invading our privacy?” someone spoke up.
“Exactly.”
Someone chimed in, and more followed suit.
“You investigated us without our consent. Can we hold you responsible for that?”
Freya remained calm, “Do you have any evidence that I investigated you?”
There was a moment of silence.
“You have been here for quite some time. Your preferences are known to many. I don’t need to investigate much. Just by paying a little more attention to you all, it’s easy to know. For example, Trina likes espresso. Espresso is made by forcing steam through coffee grounds, resulting in a pure coffee taste and strong flavor.”
Her gaze fell on the woman sitting to her right, occupying the fourth seat, “Am I right?”
Many times, she was the one who opposed her the most.
Trina was the one who just accused her of invading privacy.
So, Freya called her out first.
Freya’s gaze was calm, devoid of any anger or joy, but it still gave off a sense of pressure.
Inside the entire meeting room, there was complete silence.
All eyes were on Trina.
The woman called Trina lowered her gaze slightly. She had said those words to a colleague last month, explaining how espresso was made.
Being singled out by Freya now made her feel awkward.
Freya didn’t push aggressively.
Instead, she smiled and said, “Do you all know what flavor of coffee I like?”
