Upon hearing the voice, Freya looked up.
And she saw the person standing in the hallway.
He had a towering figure, an air of dominance honed through hardships, and as he walked towards her, it seemed like he brought a gust of wind with him.
After the initial sense of reliance she felt upon seeing him, Freya also felt a tinge of sadness.

She took a deep breath. “How did you come here?”
Elijah didn’t say a word, but his piercing gaze swept over Lane Glover.
Although Wesley Donaldson was angry at Lane Glover, he didn’t actually want to kick her out of the research institute.
