Freya already had a guess in her heart. She just wanted to hear it from Wesley Donaldson’s mouth to confirm her thoughts.
Wesley Donaldson said, “It was the former vice principal of the hospital.”
Freya wasn’t surprised.
Her face turned grim.
It seemed that she was dissatisfied with this matter.
She sat down on the sofa.
Wesley Donaldson asked her, “How do you plan to handle this matter?”
Freya replied, “You’ve been in the school for a long time and know everyone well. What’s your opinion?”
Wesley Donaldson sat down on the single sofa next to her.
After thinking for a moment, he said, “The root of the problem does not lie with Neo Miller. He is actually a simple-minded person with good comprehension skills. He was able to enter the school because he scored the highest among the candidates at that time, surpassing the second-place by a significant margin. When he entered the school, he followed the vice principal. However, when Neo Miller entered, his teacher was not the vice principal yet; he was the director and got promoted later on.”
Freya listened quietly.
She didn’t immediately provide a solution.
Wesley Donaldson continued, “He comes from a well-off province and was the top scorer in the college entrance examination. He’s the type of person who excels in academics but lacks the ability to handle interpersonal relationships. The reason for his extreme behavior is partly due to being manipulated by others and partly because the former vice principal had taken a liking to him. His personality is not well-liked in the school, and his family background is not great. The former vice principal treated him well, and this time, he did what he did out of gratitude for the vice principal’s past kindness.”
Pausing for a moment, Wesley Donaldson asked, “Can we give him a lighter punishment? He is actually a talented individual. If we let him leave the school, I feel it would be a great loss. Of course, what he did is unforgivable.”
Upon hearing Wesley Donaldson’s words, Freya hesitated for a moment.
She wasn’t soft-hearted.
It’s just that she didn’t want the school to lose someone worthy of being utilized.
She couldn’t easily forgive someone who had harmed her.
“That way, I’ll go to the vice principal’s house and talk to his family, telling them not to target you and do these little tricks behind your back…”
“No need.” Freya rejected Wesley Donaldson’s suggestion.
Decisions made in an uncalm state of mind are often impulsive.
She didn’t want to make the wrong decision.
When she found out last night that someone was harming her, she was determined not to let it go.
Wesley Donaldson’s words did influence her thoughts.
“I’ll think about it for a day.”
She stood up. “I’ll go to work first.”
“Alright.”
Wesley Donaldson also hoped she would handle things calmly.
Of course, punishment for Neo Miller was also necessary.
…
Evan found the stranger who called Freya.
“It’s not Ronan. After he escaped, he went to Country F, but nobody knows where he’s hiding. It’s too risky to approach him.” He paused for a moment and continued, “Coincidentally, Xander can handle the task of finding him.”
Xander was conveniently available and had a wide network of connections. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find him!
Elijah made a soft sound of agreement.
“The stranger who made the call, I checked. His name is Neo Miller, and he works at the HY Research Center.”
Evan hadn’t figured out why he made that call to Freya. “I guess that call must have been work-related since they both work at the same research institute.”
Elijah didn’t agree with that.
If it was work-related, he wouldn’t have heard his voice and then a hasty hang-up.
Evan asked, “Should I keep investigating?”
“Find out more about this person’s background,” Elijah said.
Evan replied, “Yes, I’ll have someone look into Neo Miller.”
The person he sent out hadn’t come back yet and was still investigating.
Just as he was about to leave, his phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
He took out his phone and answered it.
It was the call from the person he had sent out.
They reported the information they had found.
As Evan listened to what they had discovered, his brow furrowed tighter and tighter. “I see.”
“Do you want us to keep investigating?” the person on the other end asked.
“No need, come back,” Evan said.
The person acknowledged and hung up.
He turned around and walked to Elijah’s desk. “The situation has been clarified.”
Elijah put down the files in his hand and leaned back. “Oh, who is it?”
