“Luna?” Freya walked quickly towards her.
She had noticed that Luna had become distant towards her after her amnesia.
So it surprised her that Luna would actively seek her out.
Smiling, Freya said, “Come inside!”
Luna fell silent for a moment before speaking, “Let’s go to a restaurant. I’ll treat you.”
Freya replied, “Dinner should be ready at home…”
“I want to talk to you alone,” Luna looked at her intently.
Freya quickly understood and nodded, “Alright, let’s go outside.”
“Let the driver take us,” Luna agreed.
She had come by taxi.
It would be difficult to find a taxi from here.
They would have to wait for a rideshare.
Freya asked the driver to take them to a quieter restaurant.
The driver knew of a few places.
So he drove them there.
The place was nice.
It was the kind of restaurant with private rooms, no main hall.
The decor was elegant as well.
Once they were seated, Freya ordered the dishes.
She knew what Luna liked, so she ordered their favorites.
The food arrived quickly here.
As they looked at the dishes on the table, Luna tugged at her lips.
“These are the dishes you used to like,” Freya said as she served Luna.
Luna didn’t touch her fork and instead said, “During my amnesia, I was disappointed in you.”
Freya paused her action and looked up at her. “You…”
“Yes, I’ve regained my memory now,” Luna said, looking at her.
Freya took a moment to process before smiling and asking, “Really?”
“There’s no need to lie about something like this,” Luna organized her thoughts. “You knew that Orion’s mother had harmed me before, yet you let me live with him. I wondered why you didn’t consider my well-being and weren’t afraid that Debra would harm me again. Everyone said you were my best friend, and I was disappointed at that time.”
Freya suddenly understood.
No wonder Luna had been distant towards her.
“But how did you know about Debra harming you? Weren’t you suffering from amnesia?” Freya asked, puzzled.
Luna replied, “I overheard your conversation.”
Freya understood now, that was how it was.
In regards to this matter, she was indeed in the wrong.
She should have stopped Orion.
What if Orion turned out to be just as troublesome as before, and Luna was harmed again?
She regretted it so much!
“I’m sorry.” She realized that she hadn’t been considerate enough in this matter.
“It’s okay,” Luna smiled. “I won’t be harmed a second time. I won’t give them the chance.”
She looked gloomy. “I will protect myself. Those who are unloved always end up stronger than those who have someone to rely on.”
Freya said, “You still have me as a friend.”
Luna smiled and agreed. She took the dish that Freya had served her and put it into her mouth, chewing slowly. “Yes, I still have you as my best friend. I’m not completely alone.”
Freya smiled and asked, “Have you accepted my apology?”
“Of course,” Luna replied calmly.
She wasn’t the type to hold grudges, not after knowing Freya for so many years.
She wouldn’t let this incident ruin their relationship.
Most of her previous unhappiness stemmed from her amnesia and not understanding her and Freya’s bond.
Now that her memory was restored, she knew their relationship was strong.
Freya had never intended for her to come into contact with Debra.
“I’m really happy that you’ve regained your memory,” Freya smiled sincerely.
After finishing their meal, Luna took something out of her bag and handed it to Freya.
Freya widened her eyes when she saw what it was.
Curiously, she looked up and asked, “What… What is this?!”
