The Ford
Edward Ford had only just left when Dr Thomas took Logan Brown inside the Ford, and when they reached the main entrance, a bouncer tried to stop them, but was easily bypassed.
Dr Thomas walked shoulder to shoulder with him and couldn’t help but mutter in a whisper, “I didn’t think you could really lie.”
Logan Brown curled his lips, “I’m flattered.”
Dr Thomas rolled his eyes and immediately denied it at his confident look, “I wasn’t complimenting you.”
“I know.” The latter replied calmly.
As they spoke, the two had stopped at the door of Elena Bush’s room, and Dr Thomas couldn’t help but feel a little nervous as he knocked on the door, inexplicably vain.
Logan Brown gave him a silent pat on the shoulder and said, “Calm down, just act as if you’re here to see her as usual.”
Dr Thomas was even more confused by the revelation and gave him a sultry glare, “I don’t need you to tell me what to do, I’m just afraid Elena Bush will be too happy to see you and alert the others.”
Logan Brown smiled and didn’t break him down.
Dr Thomas wiped the sweat from his palms before knocking lightly on the door a few times.
A movement came from inside the house and it took a moment before the door was pulled open a crack and the hanging chain was not removed. It was only when she saw that the person outside was Dr Thomas that Elena Bush closed the door again and removed the chain to open the door.
Dr Thomas looked at her defensively and quipped, “Are you so afraid of seeing Edward Ford, or of seeing anyone but me?”
Elena Bush opened the door and turned her back, not noticing the tall figure that followed behind Dr Thomas.
She smiled bitterly at the teasing behind her, her slender hands clasped together silently, “I thought you said yesterday you weren’t coming today. Why are you thinking of coming again?”
“How can I let you see the person your heart is longing for if I don’t come?” The laughter in Dr Thomas’ words was silently revealed.
Elena Bush was stunned and blinked her eyes, only then did she notice a touch in the air that was unmistakably familiar to her, a crisp, fresh scent ……
She turned around and was caught off guard when she crashed into the deep, bottomless pupils of the man behind her, which also made her sink in instantly.
“You ……” her lips parted slightly and she looked at Dr Thomas again incredulously, “how did you …… ”
“Shhh.”
The man’s thin lips curled up into a smile and he stepped forward and pressed his index finger against her lips before she could exclaim, “Keep it down, don’t let anyone hear you.”
“Mmmmmm!” Elena Bush nodded her head, but even though she didn’t say anything, there was no way to hide the look of delight in her eyes.
Dr Thomas looked at her reaction and immediately complained, “Elena Bush, you’re too much of a snob, aren’t you? That wasn’t your attitude when you met me.”
Elena Bush gave her a sidelong glance and took Logan Brown’s hand in hers, “How can you be the same as him?”
Dr Thomas was in tears, “Is that a compliment? Or are you scolding me?”
“Both, I guess.” She hooked her lips, in a good mood.
Seeing this, Dr Thomas had to shrug, “Take your time with your business, I’m going out for a spin, and remember, don’t let anyone find out, I’m putting my own life on the line.”
“Thanks.” Elena Bush guffawed, unable to help but say from the bottom of her heart.
Dr Thomas waved his hand and pulled the door of the room open again to leave.
Logan Brown also removed his mask, and Elena Bush’s heart rejoiced, but suddenly she couldn’t help but feel weak, “Did you …… see the divorce papers?”
“Hmm.”
“I …… I’m not …….”
Elena Bush argued anxiously, and before she could finish her sentence, Logan Brown had blocked her words, “I signed the divorce papers too.”
“What?”
Her face instantly turned very ugly.
Logan Brown took her into his arms with a guilty look on his face, “I’m sorry, it’s all I can do ……”
Elena Bush suddenly understood and quickly dissolved into a smile, “What do you mean sorry, I was the one who signed it first, if it wasn’t for that Edward Ford wouldn’t have thought of getting his ideas on you so quickly, it was all me …… ”
“Okay, it’s all right, no more talk.” Logan Brown covered her red lips to stop her from blaming herself.
Elena Bush snorted out a laugh, “So it’s clear you’re just going to take the fault on yourself, if not ……”
Logan Brown squeezed her palm to stop her from going on.
His eyes fell on the small of her back, and when he saw the baby, who was still well, his thin lips curled into a gentle smile, “Has the baby been good these last few days?”
“Very well.” The little hand kept stroking it, “But it’s thanks to Dr Thomas too.”
“Yes.” The man nodded slightly, “I won’t let him down.”
“Logan Brown ……”
Elena Bush looked at the man who was crouched in front of her pressing his cheek to the small of her back, “I, I actually contacted Uncle Roger and my account is now on Uncle Roger’s account ……”
“I know.”
Logan Brown slowly got up, his large hands clasped her waist dropping a kiss on her pink lips, “Elena, thank you for everything you’ve done for me, thank you for not giving up on me completely ……”
Thank you, she was still willing to stand by his side ……
Elena Bush lifted her hand and pinched his cheek, her little face smiling brightly, “What are you saying that’s silly? Between husband and wife, there’s never a need to say thank you aren’t those your words?”
“Silly girl.” Logan Brown rubbed the top of her head dotingly.
Elena Bush snuggled into his arms and he wrapped his arms around her and said softly, “Elena, you don’t have to do so much for me because even if we do get divorced, as long as our hearts are together, we are just as much a couple, plus ……”
He looked down at his round belly, “I wouldn’t want the woman I love to raise her child alone, you are mine, naturally you and the child should live under my shelter ……”
Elena Bush grunted, “What, do you think I’m a child? That’s why you have to grow up.”
“No.”
The two men were in an up and down mood at the moment, but more than ever, they felt incredibly relieved.
Logan Brown laughed lowly, “It’s because you never grow up with me, but …… that’s good so you’ll want to depend on me, so you’ll want to be good and stay by my side.”
At those words, the little woman’s eyes suddenly turned half red, “Logan Brown …… I want to go back to H City, I want to go back to our home, you have to beat all the bad guys and take us home …… “
