Chapter 524 To Prove Herself

Book:You Are My Mr Right Published:2024-6-4

If they were not meant to be, would he have met Luna? Would they have had a chance to fall in love on campus?
Orion found his mother’s words were utter nonsense.
It was irritating to hear.
He got up from the bed.
Debra said, “You still have an injury…”
“I won’t die.” His emotions were close to being volatile. “I’m just fed up.”
Debra dared not speak again.
Orion drove back.
It was expected that Luna was no longer there.
He sat alone on the sofa, his head hanging low, seemingly lost in thought.

Luna lived in the house Zane rented for her.
For some reason, her mood was very low today. She huddled in the corner of the sofa.
She couldn’t help but recall the scene of Orion stabbing himself in the chest.
Perhaps he did have some genuine feelings for her?
As soon as this thought emerged, she quickly shook her head, telling herself not to dwell on it.
She got up from the sofa, walked to the entrance, and put on her shoes to go out.
Standing at the door, she hesitated.
Where could she go?
Who could she find?
Suddenly, she felt very lonely.
She retreated back inside.
Freya’s figure flashed in her mind at this moment.
But she didn’t have a good impression of Freya either. She would rather stay by herself than go find her.

Freya encountered something at work. There was no issues with her competence but many people didn’t like her here as she was brought in from elsewhere and hadn’t worked in the hospital before, and she had become the successor to the dean.
They deliberately sabotaged her work.
For example, they would hide the tools she needed or claim they didn’t have them.
They would take turns using the only advanced equipment in the hospital, not giving her a chance to use it.
And it didn’t stop at work. Even during meals, someone would play pranks on her, adding excessive salt to her food, making it inedible.
Freya dumped the food, drank a glass of water, and left the cafeteria.
The dean happened to be coming in to eat and saw her leaving. “You finished eating so quickly?”
Freya nodded.
“How about we chat?” the dean suggested.
Freya was indifferent. “Since you just finished your meal, let’s take a walk in the garden. It will aid digestion.” The dean walked ahead.
Freya followed at a leisurely pace.
“Are you adjusting well to the environment?” the dean asked.
“I’m quite adaptable.”
“But I’ve never seen you smile since you arrived at the hospital,” the dean said, hands behind their back. “I’m not completely unaware of what’s happening in the hospital. People have their emotions and are targeting you, making it difficult for you to work. I plan to have a meeting and address it with everyone…”
“Mr Donaldson,” Freya understood their sentiment. It would only worsen the rejection she faced if the dean spoke up for her. “If you hold a meeting specifically for me, I believe the rejection I face will only become more severe.”
She needed recognition from the heart to stand firm.
She couldn’t rely solely on the dean. She probably couldn’t stay in this hospital either.
Her lack of a smile had nothing to do with work.
Elijah hadn’t returned in two days.
Her mind was a little chaotic.
“Do you have confidence?” the dean asked.
“I do.”
Freya wouldn’t bring personal life matters into work.
“Good, you’re capable.” Said Wesley Donaldson.
After their conversation, Freya returned to work.
She discovered a box of food on her desk.
Looking around, there was no one nearby. Everyone was still in the cafeteria.
Who left this here?
In her few days at the hospital, she hadn’t had many people talk to her, let alone do something nice for her.
She sat down at her desk.
Opening the box, she stared the food inside.
