Luna forcefully broke free. Orion grabbed her again. He became assertive, wrapping his arms around Luna’s waist, holding her tightly. “Luna, I know you hate me, and I know I was wrong. But we loved each other. Why won’t you give me a chance?”
“Why should I give a chance to someone who has hurt me?” Luna retorted.
Orion couldn’t argue.
“I don’t deny it, but who is perfect? How is it possible to never make any mistakes? I admit I was wrong, and I’m willing to change. Is that not enough?” he pleaded.
Luna tugged at her lips. “How did I ever fall for you before?”
She felt puzzled.
Was she a fool back then to have fallen for him?
Orion refused to let go. “No matter what you say, I won’t let you leave.”
Luna was furious. “Are you shameless?”
“Say whatever you want!” Orion didn’t care in the slightest.
Debra Russo, returning from the hospital, frowned upon seeing the scene in the living room. “What are you all doing?”
Seeing Debra, Luna had an idea. She looked at Orion. “So you want to keep me? Fine, then I demand a life for a life from the culprit who harmed me!”
Orion froze for a moment. Debra’s face turned pale. Luna’s words were crystal clear, both in meaning and intention.
“Just look at yourself. You want to keep me, but you can’t seek revenge for me. What am I supposed to do with a man who can’t protect me? Become a decoration, placed on a table for display?” Luna deliberately said this, knowing full well that Debra was the one who harmed her, in order to get Orion to let go.
Once again, Orion faced her without words. He couldn’t possibly send his own mother to prison, could he?
Luna pushed him away, casting a mocking glance at him. Then she strode away confidently. Orion stood rooted to the spot. He was torn. On one side was his own mother, on the other was the woman he loved. How could he choose?
At this moment, Debra realized the gravity of her past actions. It was because of her that her son was in such a difficult position.
“What if I apologize to her?” she asked.
Orion smirked. “You caused her harm, and you think a mere apology can make up for a life?”
“What, are you really asking me for paying her my life?” Debra asked.
Orion didn’t respond. “Just try to make amends in the future.”
“I understand,” Debra said.
Orion let out a sigh and walked out. He had to find Luna and bring her back.

Freya woke up from her unconscious state. Her black, curled eyelashes trembled slightly. A white light illuminated the ceiling, halo of light spreading in circles. Her gaze was calm, like a deep, serene lake with no visible bottom. The room was so quiet that she could clearly hear her own breathing. With each inhale and exhale, she felt a hint of pain. She slowly sat up, buttoning up her clothes one by one. Then she got out of bed and left the hospital. She got into a car and instructed the driver to go back. When she arrived home, she went upstairs and entered the bathroom. She stayed there for a long time.

KaiGenius Group, CEO’s office!
Evan stood in front of Elijah’s desk, reporting one thing after another. “I’ve hacked into all of Ronan’s electronic devices. The videos have been deleted. However, if he has them saved on a flash drive, the videos might still exist. The news about Calista’s suicide has been suppressed, and I’m in negotiations with the police. The case will be closed soon, and the official statement will be suicide.”
Elijah wasn’t satisfied.
“Search his house. We must find them.”
Evan lowered his gaze. “Yes.”
Elijah waved him away to get it done.
Evan left the office.
Elijah glanced at the time, stood up, and grabbed his suit jacket, ready to leave. But then, an unread email popped up on the computer screen. He slid the mouse to open it. It was a video email.
As he clicked to open it, the contents began playing!
