Freya struggled to get up from the bed, relying on her professional instincts to maintain her last shred of sanity. She had one thought in her mind: she had to escape from here.
She had to!
Ronan wasn’t afraid of her running away. He simply watched as she fought desperately. He even sat by the edge of the bed, crossing his legs. He knew Freya wouldn’t be easy to handle, so he had tested this drug on someone else before injecting her with it. The dosage she received was even stronger. Even if Freya remained calm and collected, she couldn’t overcome a drug that disturbed one’s rationality.
Because her legs were weak, she struggled to move to the edge of the bed and ended up sliding down onto the floor, unable to stand steady on her feet. Ronan stood up and carried her. Freya resisted and struggled, but she didn’t have the strength to push him away.
“Ronan, I beg you, let me go…”
Ronan gently placed her back on the bed, leaning over her. “If I let you go, who will let me go?”
“I can make Elijah compensate you for all your losses. Please believe me…”
“Freya, you can really adapt and compromise. At first, you were furious and confrontational towards me, but now you’re willing to lower your voice. I don’t even have your level of grace, Freya. I truly admire you.”
As he spoke, his lips drew closer and closer. The warm breath he exhaled landed on Freya’s face.
Freya was filled with terror. She turned her face away, trying to avoid Ronan. Ronan wasn’t angry. Instead, he smiled. “I love you like this, so stubborn.”
Freya wanted to clench her fists, but she couldn’t exert any strength. Her fingers trembled instead. Ronan’s hand covered hers, gently gripping it. The warmth and softness from a woman’s touch made his heart tremble as well. He still liked Freya. Being this close to her, he enjoyed it. But he wasn’t blinded by desire. He knew what he had to do. He wouldn’t be swayed by softness of heart this time.
“Freya, the reason we’re in such a mess is because of you,” he said. As he spoke, his hand covered her face and slowly moved downwards, his fingertips grazing her neck, her collarbone, and then going to undo the buttons on her neckline. Freya tightly closed her eyes. Ronan’s fingers played with her collar, “If you had chosen me, would none of this have happened today? Hmm?”
Freya remained silent. Not a word escaped her lips. Because she knew that no matter what she said, Ronan wouldn’t let her off the hook. Ronan gently kissed her cheek. Freya’s brows furrowed tightly.
Due to her resistance, Freya was trembling!
“You’re scared, aren’t you? Do you think I’m disgusting? But I want to make you disgusted, and I want to make Elijah disgusted too.”
As he finished speaking, he didn’t tease anymore; he tore open her clothes. A chill ran through her body, and Freya trembled uncontrollably. Anger surged through her, causing her blood to rush to her head and her vision to darken. Before she lost consciousness, she felt someone looming over her…
…
Luna regained her strength and mental state, and immediately started packing her things. Orion already knew that she had discovered the truth and thus she couldn’t pretend to know nothing and seek revenge. So Luna decisively chose to leave. She didn’t have many belongings, and she quickly packed them into a small bag.
Orion stood in her way at the door. Luna found his behavior laughable, “You have the nerve to ask me to stay?”
Orion knew that Luna would choose to leave. Even if she lost her memory, her personality wouldn’t change. So he had prepared in advance.
“If you insist on leaving, you will never see that couple who saved you again.”
“Are you threatening me?” Luna glared at him, “Orion, how dare you!”
“If you dare to leave, then I dare to do it.” Orion knew that he could only use this firm approach to make her stay.
Luna was so angry that her whole body trembled. Summoning all her strength, she slapped him across the face. A crisp and loud sound echoed. Orion didn’t move or get angry; instead, he smiled.
“If hitting me can help you vent, then go ahead, hit me until you feel better and forgive me.”
Luna sneered, “Just because you kidnapped that couple, I will never forgive you.”
She pushed Orion away and walked away resolutely.
Orion grabbed her wrist!
